Ah yes it's that old familiar feeling. The chips are down, our backs are against the wall, and with the whole season seemingly on the line, the Hoosiers go out and totally sh*! the bed.We are, of course, talking about IU men's basketball, with an all-time great player who played on some all-time great teams, Brian "Dutch" Evans. This year's team is not one of those teams. And while this episode could have been recorded after any one of many, many, many such disappointing outings by the Hoosiers over the last 30 years, this one happened yesterday against the Buckeyes in what now seems to be an annual "Battle of The Bubble Teams."But hey... we're still the undefeated Big Ten and National Champions in football!!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

We draft for the next national championship winner among SEC Football and SEC Basketball teams. College basketball coaches on the edge of retirement The Alabama Crimson Tide unleashed a furious 3-point barrage in the first half to bury The Mississippi State Bulldogs before halftime. Alabama Basketball coasted in the second half to a 100-75 win over Mississippi State Basketball. The win keeps Alabama in a tie for second in the SEC with the Arkansas Razorbacks, who Alabama holds the head-to-head tie breaker against. The Crimson Tide (11-4) is two games clear of the group tied for fifth in the SEC at 9-6. Alabama still controls their own destiny for the 2-Seed in the SEC Tournament in Nashville meaning the Crimson Tide would earn the Double Bye and not have to play a game until Friday. Alabama can further solidify that Saturday in Knoxville. The Auburn Tigers are still licking wounds after a 91-79 road loss to the Oklahoma Sooners Tuesday night. Auburn Basketball is 15-13 and 6-9 in the SEC with three games remaining, we look at the latest Bubble prognostications and how they impact Auburn. Our daily 4 Downs! Grace Ybarra and Galen Clavio are back with a packed Hoosiers episode that starts on the hardwood and ends… in the Max Mendoza Cinematic Universe. They open with Indiana men's basketball's rough loss at Illinois—why the game got away from IU, what the run problems and rebounding issues reveal, and why the margin for error gets tiny fast when the supporting scoring disappears. Then it's a forward look at the toughest test on the schedule: Purdue at Mackey, what Indiana must do to have a chance, and why this matchup is especially unforgiving given Purdue's offensive efficiency profile. After that, it's football: Bryant Haines winning the Broyles Award (and what it signals for Indiana's defensive brand), plus a staff update with Bryson Bonds joining as a special teams assistant and what it says about the program's culture. Finally, the show turns into a brainstorming session on how to upgrade the Memorial Stadium experience (bathrooms, concourses, audio/visual, lights, premium areas, and where the “National Champions” banner/trophies should live)… and then pivots to the must-follow phenomenon: The Max Mendoza Show—including clips, commentary, and a ridiculous over/under game about X follower counts.

We call The Approach Shot the golf "flavored" podcast. Never has that description been more evident as it is in this episode with quarterback TERRY HANRATTY. Sure, we talk golf. We are, as mentioned a GOLF "flavored" show. But we also talk with Terry about finally being inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. And about the amazing coaches that shaped him. His friendship with Terry Bradshaw. His podcast. And yes, his battle with Stage 4 lung cancer, which he has every intention on beating. But, it's how he deals with cancer that is so incredible. He attacks it with humor and head-on and wishes others would do the same. Some would call him brave, others might call him an optimist. We call him our brother and our friend. This is a rare glimpse into the true heart of a champion, on and off the field. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Can the SEC put an end to the Big Ten's national championship streak? That quest begins with four SEC teams, although one ACC team might be the most dangerous threat to the Big Ten's string of dominance in 2026. On today's episode, hosts Blake Toppmeyer and John Adams go head-to-head drafting their top six national championship contenders. Adams, with the first pick in the draft, plucks a frontrunner from the SEC, but Toppmeyer ventures outside the SEC for his first two picks. Adams stealthily steals one team that Toppmeyer badly wanted on his lineup of national championship contenders. In the end, they each select two SEC teams among their six-pack of national championship contenders.

I've had the opportunity to follow Seth Brock since his days at Eagle High School here in the Treasure Valley. Back then, I got to watch him compete as a tight end and defensive end, and he was also getting after it on the wrestling mat. He was a high-level athlete then, and now he's a national champion at Montana State. In this episode, Seth takes us inside what the transition to college football really looks like. Going from being "the guy" in high school to showing up at the next level where nobody cares who you were. You're back at ground zero. You're earning everything—your reps, your role, and your respect. We talk about what his redshirt year taught him, how to stay mentally locked in when you're practicing all week but not suiting up on Saturdays, and why timing is everything when you're trying to climb the depth chart. We also dive into the wrestling-to-football connection and why wrestling builds an edge for linemen—hand fighting, leverage, conditioning, adversity, and the mental toughness that carries over into life. Seth shares a powerful metaphor their D-line room lives by: "Water the bamboo." You don't always see growth right away… until it shoots up. Seth also breaks down Montana State's championship standard, the physicality of Big Sky football, and what it's like being part of a team that refuses to fold—even with their backs against the wall. Plus, he shares some unforgettable moments from this season, including Gold Rush, the Super Brawl, and his welcome-to-college-football moment at Oregon. If you're an athlete trying to make the jump to the next level—or a parent, coach, or sports fan who loves the stories behind the grind—this one is packed with lessons on preparation, patience, and maximizing opportunities when they come. To support Seth, check out his NIL links and gear, and follow him on Instagram. And if you enjoyed this episode, I'd really appreciate a 5-star review on Apple Podcasts, it takes 60 seconds and helps this show grow. _____________________________________ If you would like to watch the show, please feel free to follow me on YouTube and catch the video podcast from each of the guests!
