Meet Scott Schuster, a passionate champion of education and lifelong learning whose visionary leadership is reshaping Cincinnati's nonprofit scene. As Vice President of Philanthropy and President of the Cincinnati Museums Foundation, Scott spearheads bold fundraising strategies that help the Cincinnati Museum Center spark curiosity and wonder across science, regional history, and beyond. Under his guidance, CMC successfully wrapped its largest campaign ever—raising over $123 million to unveil 20 state-of-the-art exhibits, galleries, and research labs—and launched “Project Treasures,” a new $40 million initiative ensuring the museum's historic and scientific gems remain protected for generations to come.A career fundraiser at heart, Scott's talent for building authentic, mission-driven relationships has powered transformative projects everywhere he's served, including Archbishop Moeller High School and the University of Cincinnati Foundation, where he played a pivotal role in a $120 million construction project for UC's Lindner College of Business. Today, he continues to inspire the next generation of marketing leaders as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at UC, while also serving as a Great Parks of Hamilton County Board of Park Commissioner. Named one of Cincinnati Business Courier's “Forty Under 40,” Scott Schuster blends passion, expertise, and a commitment to community—making him a driving force behind nonprofit innovation and a must-listen voice for anyone interested in the power of philanthropy.

Lisata Therapeutics Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kristen Buck joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce a new research agreement with the University of Cincinnati to explore Lisata's novel cyclic peptide, certepetide, combined with bevacizumab, for treating endometriosis. Bevacizumab has shown effectiveness against endometriosis, yet its high dosages lead to systemic side effects, limiting its suitability for young, otherwise healthy women. Under this agreement, the University of Cincinnati will conduct the research while Lisata provides funding and supplies of certepetide. Lisata hopes this combination will offer a targeted, effective solution for endometriosis—a painful condition affecting 6.5 million U.S. women, often leading to severe pain, infertility, and other health complications. #proactiveinvestors #lisatatherapeuitcsinc #nasdaq #lsta #endometriosis #certepetide #Certepetide #EndometriosisTreatment #UniversityofCincinnati #WomensHealth #MedicalResearch #Biotechnology #Integrins #Neuropilin #ProactiveInterview #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

In this interview, Patrick Coyne shares his journey from being a professional athlete to becoming the owner of Black Sheep Performance. He discusses the founding pillars of his gym, the ssa method, and how he creates a culture of inclusivity for his clients. Patrick also talks about the importance of inducing healthy stress, building resilience, and the role they play in the training process. Additionally, he discusses his new business venture, Contrast Studio, which aims to help people with mental health issues through biohacking. Help Us Help More People. When you leave a review on apple or Spotify, it helps us share the message so that we can raise the industry standards and help more people for free. About Today's GuestPatrick Coyne is a Cincinnati native who started out his athletic career at Hamilton Badin High School. He was awarded the number two quarterback ranking in the state, locking in the number ten spot in the country, which opened many doors on the next level. Coyne decided to stay home and attended The University Of Cincinnati playing Quarterback and winning two Big East Championships. Due to a coaching and position change, he transferred. Coyne was plagued with a number of injuries which included another serious concussion that would end up being the final factor in his decision to close out his football career. After realizing he could no longer play the game he loved, Coyne immediately started helping players of all levels reach their fullest potential. This is where Black Sheep Performance came to life. While injuries did play a big role in ending his career, he noticed that what he did off the field played just as big of a role as what he did on it.Learn more about Patrick:https://www.trainbsp.com/https://www.instagram.com/patrickcoyne_/Join the Facebook community! Are you a new fitness entrepreneur looking to attract clients? The podcast team is on spring break, so we're rereleasing one of our favorite episodes to celebrate Dr. Taylor Byas's successful defense of her dissertation. Congratulations, Dr. Byas! On the season 2 finale, Taylor Byas talks to Jared about how her fiction background helps her develop sharp images and accessible lines in her poetry while her poetic knowledge taught her to take more risks in her fiction. She also describes the value of a social media writing community (and how to build one), whether publishing success eliminates imposter syndrome (spoiler: it does not), and how her scholarly studies in her PhD program inform and enrich her creative work (and how to survive the comprehensive exam). MFA Writers will be back in your airwaves in August. Wishing you all a great summer, dear friends, and thank you for listening. Taylor Byas is a Black Chicago native currently living in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she is now a PhD candidate and Yates scholar at the University of Cincinnati, and an Assistant Features Editor for The Rumpus. She is the 1st place winner of the 2020 Poetry Super Highway, the 2020 Frontier Poetry Award for New Poets Contests, the 2021 Adrienne Rich Poetry Prize, and a finalist for the 2020 Frontier OPEN Prize.
