This season will have 6 episodes that discuss mental and physical boundaries, boundaries in education and athletics, and what to do when boundaries are broken. In our sixth and final episode we will be discussing how we re-connect through school. Our hosts, Addison and Brayden interviewed Ben Ferney, he is currently serving as Student Body President at Weber State University. Previously, he served as President of the Latter-day Saint Student Association (LDSSA) overseeing a council of 18 peers and prior to that was a chair over a major LDSSA committee. He also completed a fellowship for Humanitarian Experience for Youth (HEFY) and has led 76 youth on four humanitarian trips in Tonga and Peru. It was an honor having him on the Weber Podcats Podcast!

In our fifth episode we will be discussing how we re-connect through culture. Our hosts, Charlyrae and Jed interviewed Terri Hughes, President of the Weber State chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. She is a strong advocate for social justice, and we really think you'll enjoy what she has to say and it was an absolute honor having her on the Weber PodCats Podcast!

In our fourth episode we will be discussing how we re-connect through Art. Our hosts, Addison and Brooklyn, interview Mike Hurst, who is an Ogden, Utah based lamp worker who specializes in pendants, marbles, Christmas ornaments, and more! He began working with glass in January of 1994 and since that time he has passionately studied and practiced the art of glassblowing. He is always striving to perfect his techniques and learn something new. In addition to lamp working, Mike has experience with glass fusing, glass etching and neon sign making. Mike has been featured in Glassline magazine and several local publications. He and his work were featured in the 2020 Lifetime Christmas movie "The Christmas Edition" starring Marie Osmond, Carly Hughes, Rob Mayes and Aloma Wright. He sells his work online, locally at The Local Artisan Collective (2371 Kiesel Ave Ogden, UT), at galleries and arts festivals. In our third episode, we discuss how we re-connect through our community. Our hosts, Dominique, and Addison interview Stacy Bernal, who is very active within the Ogden community. She is a change instigator, TEDx speaker, author, and coach at See Stacy Speak LLC. She proudly serves on Weber State's Alumni Association Board of Directors, The Ogden Weber Technical College Foundation Board of Trustees, and the Vice-Chair of the Ogden Diversity Commission. She's the founder of Awesome Autistic Ogden and the Bernal Badassery Foundation and is currently a 2022 Candidate for the Ogden School Board. Everyone stumbles sometimes, and mistakes are proof that we're trying. During our interviews this episode we will be focusing on how to connect to, and through our struggles, and how to come out better on the other end. Today we will dive into issues involving race. The topic has gained a lot more public attention recently, and the issues have only deepened throughout the course of the pandemic. These issues have ranged from police brutality, to disparities in Covid-19 impacts and vaccine distribution. Join us as we interview two Weber State Students, Cameron and Ian, about their experiences with racial injustice in school and in life. We hope that through these conversations we can become more capable of connecting with people of color in our own communities. We also hope that we can learn how to create a more inclusive and equitable community for those that face more obstacles.

What better way to wrap up National Womens' Month than with a discussion about connecting with women?

In this episode, join Jazmyne Olson as she discusses local politics. Utah ended up with a 90% turnout in this past election, but many still did not register to vote. While these numbers are often driven by national politics, local politics plays a major role in our lives, surrounding us at work, home, and school as the decisions of local leaders impact our daily lives. Our podcast is centered on connectedness, so we will be focusing on finding out how we can connect to our community through local politics and figuring out how we can make a difference in our community and making sure that we are properly informed on what is going on around us.

In this episode, join Ceilidh Argyle as she discusses mental health. It is a challenging subject, and many people face those challenges every day. Discussion, facts, and information about mental health surround us. It floods our social media feeds, the news, conversations among friends and family, and has taken the forefront in many academic studies. Our podcast is centered on connectedness, so we will be focusing on finding connection through mental illness and to connect with those who suffer from mental illness all around us.
