Il David di Donatello è un premio cinematografico ......- The full transcript of this Episode (and excercises for many of the grammar episodes) is available via "Luisa's learn Italian Premium", Premium is no subscription and does not incur any recurring fees. This week on The Nutrition Couch, Leanne and Susie tackle the question that’s on everyone’s lips: Are Aussie berries safe to eat right now? We break down the new pesticide concerns, what it means for your weekly shop, and how to wash and store berries so they last longer. We also dive into new omega-3 research on muscle health as we age, review a supermarket “light lunch” pack that looks better than it really is, and answer a listener’s question about sardines — are they the ultimate budget superfood? In this episode: Aussie berries under review: What the latest pesticide concerns mean, and simple steps to keep your family safe. Omega-3 and muscle health: Why food sources work better than supplements for strength and healthy ageing. Lunchbox review: Our verdict on Primo’s ham-and-cheese “light lunch” pack — and smarter swaps you can make in minutes. Sardines spotlight: Cheap, nutritious, and packed with omega-3s — but are they for everyone? You’ll also hear: The quick wash method that actually reduces pesticide residues on berries. How to spread omega-3 intake across the week without blowing the budget. Why processed meats are still an “occasional only” choice, even when marketed as high-protein.
Prima emissione: 9 settembre 2024

Located at the opposite ends of the country, the states of Louisiana and Maine appear to share little in common at first glance. But take a closer look, and you'll see two places that share a passion for their distinct seafood culture – each home to a galaxy of culinary rockstars who elevate their local cuisine. On this week's show, Louisiana Eats takes you with us as we travel to Maine to explore the food scene in the Pine Tree State. We begin with Lady Oyster Tours and Tastings in Phippsburg, on the Casco Bay Peninsula. Owner and operator Virginia Shaffer is Maine's first "oyster sommelier," or certified oyster expert under the Oyster Master Guild. Throughout the year, Virginia and her company educate tourists on the local oyster industry, offering tastings and boat tours of oyster farming operations. She tells us about Maine's rapidly growing oyster industry, before Captain Joe Jerome steers us to get a first-hand look at an oyster farm. Then, we travel up the coast to meet Melissa Kelly, the first two-time recipient of the James Beard award for Best Chef Northeast. Melissa tells us about her Rockland farm-to-table restaurant, Primo and her remarkable life in food. We also meet farm manager Abigail Gallagher, who gives us a tour of the multi-acre farm surrounding the restaurant. Next, we visit the small town of Bath to dine in a restaurant overlooking the Kennebec River called OystHERS Raw Bar and Bubby. The seasonal raw bar is owned by sisters Sadia and Lauren Crosby, both lobstermen's daughters from nearby Georgetown Island. Sadia owns a sea farm, where the house oysters are produced. Lauren tells us the story behind OystHERS, which serves up fresh bivalves from local female-owned and family-owned farms. And who should we run into there, but Susan Spicer! The New Orleans chef tells us what she's cooking while cruising up the Atlantic coast. We end our trip at Browne Trading Market, a magical food and drink emporium in Portland. Since 1991, Browne Trading Company has been the supplier of seafood, caviar, and other delicacies to an exclusive restaurant chef customer base. Among our discoveries there were percebes – also known as gooseneck or turtle-claw barnacles – harvested on the Iberian Peninsula and exclusively available from Browne Trading. Specialty foods manager Michael Rigo explains why the job of harvesting these edible crustaceans is not for the faint of heart. For more of all things Louisiana Eats, be sure to visit us at PoppyTooker.com.

Send us a textThis was supposed to be a roast. A snarky hate-watch of the new Netflix Thunderbirds documentary. Instead? Aaron and Trent got ambushed by feelings. What started as a casual poo-poo sesh turned into a confession of admiration, aviation tears, and redemption arcs that hit harder than a Friday safety brief. We went from “tight flight suits and PR stunts” to "Astro gave up being an astronaut to save the team” — and dammit, we were in. From Primo's struggle bus to elite team dynamics, we broke down what it actually takes to perform under pressure when the whole Air Force is watching. Also in this ep: Marines choke-slamming passengers mid-flight, Memorial Day cringe patrols, fake Viking worship, Jesus-themed t-shirts, PTSD reality checks, and why “No More Drama, Ride a Llama” is now legally trademarked by Ones Ready. This one's unhinged, honest, and somehow… wholesome?

Writer Peter Murrieta talks about how teachers pushed him to a better life, riding in the car with his grandparents, baseball, creating TV, college training him to be a showman, being a rare latino at Second City, Danny Trejo, collecting baseball cards, loving writing, and becoming a teacher to give back. Bio: Peter Murrieta is a two-time Emmy Award winning producer and writer who has contributed his voice to multiple projects that have expanded and further legitimized the entertainment value of telling stories about diverse cultures. His success during the fellowship led to writing positions on Jesse, Three Sisters and All About the Andersons, before he created the critically acclaimed series Greetings from Tucson, which tells the story of an upwardly mobile bi-racial. The series' Latino cast is a perfect example of how he's been able to bring the lighthearted examination of his culture to the predominantly white television landscape. As a producer, Peter is dedicated to ensuring that diverse and underrepresented persons have opportunities in the industry on both sides of the camera, as evidenced by his work on the Emmy Award winning, Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place.Peter has produced and written on NBC's Welcome to the Family, ABC's Cristela, TV Land's Lopez, Norman Lear's Netflix re-boot of One Day A Time and CBS' Superior Doughnuts. He was an Executive producer and writer on the Imagen Award winning Netflix series, MR. IGLESIAS, starring comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias. And most recently, he is a writer and an Executive Producer on the Amazon FreeVee series, “Primo,” for Universal. And wrote on the staff of the drama for Peacock, “Field of Dreams.” Peter was honored in 2018 with the Imagen Foundation's Norman Lear Writer's Award for his dedication to broadening the diversity of the entertainment industry. He was just named a member of the 2024 Influential Latinos in Media by the Imagen Foundation as well. Having taught at the prestigious American Film Institute, Peter is now a professor of Practice at Arizona State University, and is happy to have a foot back in his home state of Arizona, excited to serve as Deputy Director for The Sidney Poitier New American Film School.

In this episode of Christ the Center, Camden Bucey and Jim Cassidy engage in a lively and theologically rich conversation. Fresh from attending Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary's summer seminar with David Hall and Carl Trueman, Camden shares highlights from the event before turning to the main topic: a preview of the 2025 Reformed Forum Theology Conference. This year's theme—The Things Concerning Himself: Christ in All the Scriptures—will explore how the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, reveals Christ as the sum and substance of God's covenantal plan. Camden and Jim walk through each of the planned addresses, reflecting on why Christ is not an “added-on” figure to the Old Testament, but its very heart from the beginning. Along the way, they share personal ministry stories, insights on biblical theology, and a taste of the fellowship that makes these gatherings so special. Join us September 27, 2025 at Lakeland Church in Gurnee, Illinois, for an edifying day of teaching, conversation, and community. Come early for the Friday night pre-conference at Primo's Italian Steakhouse. Registration is now open, with early-bird rates through September 1, 2025. Learn more and reserve your spot at reformedforum.org/conference. Whether you are a pastor, student, or serious layperson, this conference will help you see more clearly how all of Scripture points to Christ—and how that transforms our understanding, devotion, and service to him.
