DI QUARESIMA - ANNO A (Gv 4,5-42)di Don Stefano Bimbi La liturgia di oggi ci fa contemplare due scene che si illuminano a vicenda: da una parte il popolo d'Israele nel deserto, nella prima lettura; dall'altra Gesù Cristo al pozzo di Sicar con la samaritana.Nel libro dell'Esodo il popolo ha sete. Si trova nel deserto e mormora contro Mosè arrivando a dire: «Il Signore è in mezzo a noi sì o no?». È una sete fisica, ma dietro c'è una sete più profonda: la paura di essere abbandonati. Dio allora ordina a Mosè di percuotere la roccia e da quella roccia scaturisce acqua. Il luogo viene chiamato Massa e Merìba, cioè "prova e contestazione", perché lì Israele ha messo alla prova il Signore.Nel Vangelo ritroviamo la stessa sete, ma in forma personale. Non più un popolo intero, ma una donna sola. Non più un deserto geografico, ma un deserto interiore. Anche qui c'è una domanda implicita: Dio è davvero con me? Si interessa della mia vita concreta?La roccia percossa nel deserto e Cristo seduto al pozzo di Sicar sono due immagini collegate. San Paolo dirà che quella roccia era figura di Cristo. Come dalla roccia colpita sgorgò l'acqua, così dal costato di Cristo trafitto sulla croce sgorgheranno sangue e acqua, segni dei sacramenti. Nel deserto l'acqua salva dalla morte fisica; nel Vangelo l'acqua viva salva dalla morte spirituale.C'è però una differenza decisiva. Nel deserto il popolo mormora e pretende un segno. Al pozzo, invece, Gesù prende l'iniziativa: «Dammi da bere». Non attende la protesta, ma offre la grazia. Tuttavia anche noi, spesso, assomigliamo a Israele. Quando arrivano le difficoltà, le prove, le malattie, le incomprensioni, quante volte nel cuore riaffiora la domanda: «Il Signore è in mezzo a noi sì o no?».L'ACQUA CHE DISSETA DAVVERO«Dammi da bere» è una frase sorprendente: Dio chiede da bere a una creatura. Colui che ha creato l'acqua, chiede acqua. Ma in realtà è Lui che sta offrendo qualcosa di infinitamente più grande. Come spesso accade nel Vangelo, Gesù parte da un bisogno materiale per condurre a una verità spirituale più profonda.La samaritana pensa all'acqua del pozzo. Gesù parla di un'acqua viva, capace di diventare sorgente che zampilla per la vita eterna. Quest'acqua è la grazia, è dono dello Spirito Santo, è la vita divina che ci viene comunicata nei sacramenti. Non è un sentimento passeggero, non è un'emozione religiosa: è una realtà oggettiva che trasforma l'anima.Il cristianesimo infatti non è in primo luogo uno sforzo morale, ma un dono da accogliere. San Paolo lo dice chiaramente: l'amore di Dio è stato riversato nei nostri cuori per mezzo dello Spirito Santo. Prima ancora che noi cerchiamo Dio, è Dio che cerca noi. Prima ancora che noi abbiamo sete di Lui, è Lui che ha sete della nostra salvezza. Eppure, quante volte anche noi, come la samaritana, non capiamo subito. Restiamo alla superficie. Cerchiamo l'acqua che non disseta davvero.Il dialogo diventa più personale quando Gesù tocca la ferita morale della donna: «Hai avuto cinque mariti...». Il Signore porta alla luce la verità per guarire, non per umiliare. Il suo scopo è salvare.Quei "cinque mariti" possono rappresentare anche le nostre false sorgenti. Ognuno di noi sa dove ha cercato acqua e non l'ha trovata: nel successo, nel denaro, in relazioni sbagliate, nell'orgoglio, nelle abitudini di peccato. Il cuore resta inquieto quando si allontana dalla sorgente vera. Sant'Agostino diceva: «Ci hai fatti per Te, e il nostro cuore è inquieto finché non riposa in Te».UNA BROCCA DA LASCIARELa Quaresima è il tempo in cui il Signore ci invita a fare verità. Non una verità generica, ma concreta. Dove sto cercando la mia felicità? Qual è il mio "pozzo" che non disseta? C'è qualche peccato che continuo a giustificare? C'è una situazione che rimando di affrontare?La risposta non è scoraggiarsi, ma fare come la samaritana: lasciarsi guardare da Cristo. Quando la donna comprende di essere davanti al Messia, cambia tutto. Lascia la brocca e corre in città ad annunciare: «Venite a vedere un uomo che mi ha detto tutto quello che ho fatto». La brocca abbandonata è il segno di un passato lasciato alle spalle. Ha trovato una sorgente più grande. Anche per noi c'è una brocca da lasciare. Forse è un'abitudine sbagliata o un vizio radicato in noi. Forse è la freddezza nella preghiera. Forse è la trascuratezza dei sacramenti. L'acqua viva richiama il Battesimo, ma anche la Confessione che rinnova la grazia battesimale e l'Eucaristia che alimenta la vita divina.Concretamente, questa settimana possiamo fare tre cose semplici ma decisive.Primo: dedicare alla preghiera ogni giorno qualche minuto in più del solito, magari rileggendo questo Vangelo e dicendo: «Signore, dammi sempre di quest'acqua».Secondo: fare ogni sera un serio esame di coscienza, chiedendoci dove abbiamo cercato la nostra sicurezza.Terzo: accostarci con umiltà al sacramento della Confessione, senza paura. Il peccato nascosto è come una sorgente inquinata; la grazia lo purifica. Chiediamo un appuntamento con il padre spirituale per verificare se il cammino della Quaresima procede bene.Infine, non dimentichiamo l'ultimo passaggio: la samaritana diventa missionaria. L'incontro vero con Cristo non si tiene per sé. Anche noi possiamo testimoniare con semplicità: una parola di fede in famiglia, un invito alla Messa, un gesto di carità fatto con amore.Oggi leggendo il vangelo anche noi siamo davanti al pozzo. Gesù ci guarda e dice: «Dammi da bere». Gli daremo la nostra fede? Gli consegneremo la nostra vita perché la trasformi? Gli permetteremo di entrare nelle nostre ferite più nascoste sicuri che Dio può far scaturire acqua anche dalla roccia più dura della nostra vita?Se non induriamo il cuore, questa Quaresima diventerà un tempo di vera conversione e di affidamento totale. Solo così potremo dire con sincerità: «Signore, dammi di quest'acqua, perché non abbia più sete».

In questo episodio ti porto su un terreno che, per me, è sempre stato “ostico”: il terrazzo.E lo faccio con Sandro Degni, uno che di terrazze ci vive da trent'anni, tra Milano e cantieri dove il verde sta in cima alle case, nascosto e spesso sottovalutato.Parliamo subito chiaro: se vuoi un terrazzo che funzioni, il punto di partenza non sono le piante. Sono i contenitori.I vasi e le fioriere sono la base di tutto, e spesso sono anche la voce più alta del preventivo.Qui Sandro è netto: se risparmi sui vasi, parti male e poi paghi doppio in problemi, stress e piante che soffrono.Dentro la chiacchierata smontiamo un po' di idee vecchie che girano ancora: cocci sul fondo, argilla espansa a caso, sottovasi ovunque, terriccio “universale” preso al volo.Sandro ti spiega cosa conta sul serio: volume del vaso, materiali sensati (metallo su misura, cotto e ceramica quando serve, plastiche economiche da evitare), drenaggio fatto bene, substrati tecnici con tanti inerti, meno torba e più stabilità nel tempo.Poi tocchiamo i temi che nessuno racconta, finché non ci sbatte contro: pesi e portanza del terrazzo, acqua che cambia tutto, logistica da “trasloco” con autoscale, permessi, aree cittadine e condomìni.E alla fine arriva il pezzo che a me interessa più di tutti: la consapevolezza del proprietario. Tu non devi diventare esperto.Ti basta capire due o tre cose chiave, così ti godi il terrazzo, dai acqua con criterio e sai a chi affidarti quando deleghi.Se hai un balcone piccolo o un terrazzo grande, qui trovi un filo comune: non esiste “spazio inutile”.Esiste solo uno spazio impostato male o bene. E spesso basta partire dal vaso giusto per cambiare tutto.
