Sit for a spell and join 3 friends as they share a drink and discuss their journeys with Magick and WItchcraft
The burnout of 2021 is real. We have all been feeling it magickally and we had a listener write in for advice on how to get that magick spark back. We three went to the beach to reclaim it, and of course share our whacky adventures in the first 30 minutes...because we truly left our hearts on the pacific coast. But eventually we get there, so feel free to skip ahead to when we dive into a discussion of how, as fun as Bell Book and Candle can be..., it is usually the truly mundane and simple actions in everyday life that fuel us to call in the magick and inspiration that feeds our soul. Also please check out the book we review: The Rebel Witch By Kelly Ann Maddox A new book that will definitely help revitalize your path whether you are just beginning or looking to refresh an established magickal life it offers wise words and fun guidance
Around this time of year of spring into summer, with the awakening of the earth, often there also seems to be an extra awareness of the spirits that awaken with it. Tegan, Tabs, and Mel gathered on a recent spring night to pour a libation of Poison Pomegranate to the Morrigan and share their own philosophy, stories, and hypothetical questions about the numerous entities that may or may not be Fae. None of the information covered is meant to be taken as fact, these are personal musings. However if you want more in depth information from an experienced practitioner that works with the Fair Folk, we can't recommend Morgan Daimler's work enough. This be the NOT sippin edition of our podcast. We have faced many issues both personal, supernatural, and technical getting a podcast successfully recorded in the last weeks and so as we endeavored to bring some light and magickal conversation to these extremely sobering times, we stupidly remained sober ourselves. A mistake that I feel we all agree will not happen again dear listeners. So while we have no drinks to share with you this week we do hope you check out some of the sites listed below which were discussed in the show.J Allen Cross's Cross & Crossroads Hexing for Social JusticeEthony Dawn's Tarot Readers Academy Summer SchoolLaura Tempest Zakroff Sigil's for Change and Resistance Email us: witchesbsippin@gmail.comJoin us on Instagram @ Witches_be_sippin_podcastView the blog: https://www.witchesbesippin.com/Theme Music "Baba Yaga" by Kevin MacLeod (https://incompetech.com)License: CC BY (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/)

The Wheel of the Year, round and round it goes. Often told by request at Sabbats and her classes; We bring you Mel's telling that brings it to full color life!
Many practicing witches study long and hard to learn what not to do before venturing into new territory. This week we start with an email from a listener (even though I all her a reader in the episode) who is exploring how to walk the line between following old ways and walking your own path, and how to stay safe while doing so. Mel, Tabs, and Tegan share their own experiences with magickal safety vs experimentation, along with a healthy dose of our usual misc tangents!Wine: Root &Vine Red BlendJoin us on Instagram @ Witches_be_sippin_podcastView the blog: https://www.witchesbesippin.com/Email us: witchesbsippin@gmail.comTheme Music "Baba Yaga" by Kevin MacLeod (https://incompetech.com)License: CC BY (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/)
In this episode we discuss why we took up the tarot, how we learned, and what keeps us coming back to the cards. We also take a look at alternative forms of divination that we are looking to grow into.On a side note: We originally tried to record an episode on divination during Mercury retrograde...and he decided to take us on a ride that did NOT result in am actual episode. In the picture above is are the fantastic wines we imbibed during that attempt. Sooo this is the new, appropriately social distanced, Skype redo. This episode starts with an unedited listen to our normally cut pre-episode chatter. I call it "Before the Clink" lolWe recorded this on March 30th, after we had sufficiently recovered from the shock of coming back from a spiritual journey in the wilderness to find the world in peril and the only safe haven is apparently toilet paper forts?!We talk about how we have adjusted, and what witchy things we are mostly not doing, but want to. We also go in depth on resources we find helpful from websites, podcasts, tarot readers, classes, and more.So sit back and enjoy with your own drink, and forgive Mel for calling it Corvid instead of Covid.
