6/12 Alb.---"We Lead, Others Follow" shows women photographers who lead their studios at the turn of the 19th century in Albuquerque. Jillian Hartke tells about photos from the archives of the museum. Photographers located on Gold Street in Albuquerque helped other women get established.

She was on the ground in Austin when the Supreme Court allowed the state's Senate Bill 8 - the most extreme abortion restriction in the U.S.- to go into effect on September 1 at midnight. She describes the scenes in packed abortion clinics all the way up until midnight and speaks about the ban and its immediate impact on millions of Texans who will be losing access to safe abortions, particularly women of color and those who are low income. Alb,4/25/21--I interviewed Jessica Bruder, author of Nomadland, Surviving America in the 21st Century-- the book that inspired the film that just won 3 Oscars. Jessica didn't just interview people who were traveling the country following work opportunities. She spent several years, returning in her own camper, to talk to them and hear about their new adventures and trials. We spoke at the New York office of Jessica's publisher in Sept. 2017.

A Senior Fellow and Founding Director of the Brookings Center for Effective Public Management, Elaine Kamarck shows that as the way of picking the vice president has changed, so has the job evolved. If Kamala Harris becomes Vice President, she will step into more power and responsibility than in the past.
