You've Got a Type teaches listeners how to use the Enneagram like a compass to help navigate the journey to self-awareness. No topic is off limits here, as the Enneagram dives head first into our deepest fears, desires, relationships, past traumas, cultural experiences, and of course, spirituality & psychology. If that sounds way too intense or far too academic - don't worry. No one is allowed to take themselves too seriously on this show and a good sense of humor is probably the most important trait you'll need if you're going to use the Enneagram in any way. Hosted by Colton Simmons and many guests along the way.
The You've Got a Type podcast is an incredibly thought-out and engaging show that goes beyond simply telling listeners what their enneagram number is. It provides a fascinating history lesson on the enneagram and offers valuable tools for better understanding oneself and others. The passion in every episode is palpable and greatly appreciated by listeners like myself.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is how well-thought-out it is. Each episode feels like having a personal enneagram coach, except it's completely free and conveniently accessible through earbuds. The practical advice provided in this show has the potential to truly improve one's life, making it a must-listen for anyone interested in personal growth. Additionally, as someone who enjoys delving into the details, I particularly love the deep dives into the history of the enneagram and the explanations behind its concepts. This podcast does not shy away from providing valuable content from start to finish.
While it's difficult to find any negative aspects about The You've Got a Type podcast, one minor critique could be that there may be room for more episodes to drop sooner. As an enamored listener, eagerly awaiting new episodes can be slightly challenging due to the desire for more content. However, considering the quality and depth present in each episode, it's understandable that creating such thought-provoking content takes time.
In conclusion, The You've Got a Type podcast is a game-changer. Colton, with his wisdom and humor, delivers refreshing insights on the enneagram without resorting to cliches or gimmicks to attract followers. This show stands out among other podcasts on personal development with its genuine passion and practicality. If you're looking for a captivating podcast that can potentially change your life while providing historical context and depth, then look no further than The You've Got a Type podcast.

Did anyone catch Chelsea's enneagram reference in episode 2 of season 3 of The White Lotus? Gotta say I was surprised at first to hear the enneagram referenced in such a mainstream show as The White Lotus. However, as the season has progressed, it makes total sense that characters would treat tools such as the enneagram, meditation, and self-awareness in such a cliche and un-selfaware manner. Definitely a cringe & binge kinda show! And Mike White's Christian upbringing is making it a sharp critique of all mainstream religion and spirituality. #thewhitelotusseason3 #thewhitelotus #hbomax #hbo #enneagram #enneagramtypes #enneagram2 #enneagram9 #enneagrammistypes

Although the Enneagram and CliftonStrengths (formerly known as "Strengths Finder") are entirely different systems, I thought it would be a fun thought experiment to pick the Top 5 CliftonStrengths for the general personality profile of each enneagram type. My rule was that I had to use every strength at least once, and no more than twice. This made it a bit more difficult, but I wanted to make sure that I could highlight the full pantheon of CliftonStrengths in this short video. Lastly, I am keenly aware of the vast diversity of Top 5 strengths that will come up for each enneagram type when it comes to the individual person taking the strengths assessment. For instance, I am a Type 1 Reformer, and I did not pick the 5 strengths that came up for me when I've taken the test several times in the past. Again, the goal was to describe the general outline of each enneagram personality type. Given each person's unique mixture of wings and instincts (and lack of self-awareness

Here are the five key themes to know about relationships with Enneagram Type Nine Peacemakers. These themes span the entire spectrum of healthy vs unhealthy 9s, so BE WARNED! These episodes contain more critical commentary than your average enneagram content on social media as I believe that's the heart of the enneagram's purpose (i.e. self-critical reflection that leads to true self-acceptance, healing, and personal growth). It's also not a one-size-fits all episode, so some of this should not resonate with everyone, especially in the higher levels of health. #enneagram #lordoftherings #personalitytypes After a recent trip to beautiful New Zealand, I felt compelled to finally do an enneagram typology with characters from Lord of the Rings. My goal was to highlight the personality traits of every enneagram type (including the wings/subtypes), and I was far less concerned with finding the one perfect enneagram type for each character as that may have left some enneagram types with multiple character matches, while other enneagram types may not have matched at all. Lastly, if I say anything that doesn't make sense, please refer to the long form "Complete Guides to Each Enneagram" series linked below. Those episodes will help flush out any of the traits I mention in this video if you haven't watched them yet. Are you more influenced by the logical thoughts of the head? Are you more swayed by the emotions of the heart? Or do you primarily take action based on your gut instincts? We obviously need all three to be the best version of ourselves, but we each have a tendency to rely on one or two more than the other. In this video, I'll explain the enneagram theory of the "Triadic Self" and how each enneagram type has a unique flow of processing information and making decisions. These triads create the foundation of our perspective, so be sure to spend some time learning the natural biases of your type so you can become more self-aware, and ultimately make better decisions about your work, relationships, and personal life in general! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/youvegotatype/support
It can be incredibly difficult to find your #enneagram type, and roughly 60% of people mistype themselves the first time. So since #myersbriggs is so popular, and far easier to find your type, I thought it would be helpful to give folks a starting point based on some surface level similarities between each Myers-Briggs type and one Enneagram type that best corresponds to their personality traits. And before you say it (looking at you my snarky 5s and bullish 8s), I fully understand and agree that the enneagram is an incredibly different tool with a far different purpose than Myers-Briggs AND there is no direct correlation between your Enneagram ego and your Myers-Briggs personality, so please spare me the comments ;) This is just a playful (potentially helpful) comparison. ▶ A Complete Guide to Every Enneagram Type: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLm1xoeY8KrF6EV2rrDfJykCe_hyC_kJOR ▶ DONATE: Support YGAT's effort to create high-quality, free enneagram content by donating on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/youvegotatype ▶ Subscribe to YGAT: https://www.youtube.com/c/youvegotatype ▶ Timeline: 0:00 Introduction 1:53 INFJ 3:02 ISTJ 4:18 ISFJ 5:26 ESFJ 6:29 ENFJ 7:33 ENFP Part I 8:35 ENFP Part II 9:46 INFP Part I 10:57 INFP Part II 12:01 INTP 13:03 INTJ 14:05 ISTP 15:09 ENTP 16:16 ESFP 17:21 ESTP 18:24 ENTJ 19:26 ESTJ 20:32 ISFP 21:38 Conclusion: LIKE & SUBSCRIBE! #enneagram #selfawareness #spirituality #selfhelp #motivation #selflove #wisdom #spiritualgrowth #enneagram9 #enneagram8 #enneagram7 #enneagram6 #enneagram5 #enneagram4 #enneagram3 #enneagram2 #enneagram1 #reformer #helper #achiever #individualist #investigator #loyalist #enthusiast #challenger #peacemaker #personalitytypes #personality #enneagramtypes #isfp #estj #entj #estp #ESFP #ENTP #ISTP #INTJ #INTP #INFP #ENFP #ENFJ #ESFJ #ISFJ #ISTJ #INFJ #16personalities #mbti #mbtipersonality #introverts #extroverts #education --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/youvegotatype/support
