NT personality types—ENTP, INTJ, INTP, and ENTJ—are known for their sharp intellect, fierce independence, and big-picture thinking. But when it comes to friendship, their strengths can also be their biggest struggles. In this episode, we break down how NTs approach relationships using the TRUE framework: Trust, Respect, Understanding, and Encouragement. You'll learn: ✅ Why NTs need mental stimulation to feel connected ✅ What makes them loyal (and what pushes them away) ✅ Why emotions can feel like a foreign language ✅ How NTs support friends in practical—but often overlooked—ways Whether you're an NT yourself or have one in your life, this episode offers clarity, humor, and powerful takeaways to strengthen your friendships with the thinkers and strategists of the world. She has over 10,000 hours of experience in education, both in the classroom and corporate sector. Even though she holds a Master's degree in education, she struggled to understand her neurodivergent and oppositional kids. Inspired by her experience using Myers Briggs and the Enneagram with business teams, she spent over a decade researching temperament pattens to help family teams. She is a best-selling author and host of the Not So Normal Parenting podcast. Her podcast is entitled Not So Normal Parenting because not only are she and her kids neurodivergent but some of her life experiences, such as driving off a cliff her wedding night and going viral for embarrassing her seventeen-year old son by dancing on a snowy and jammed interstate, fall into that category. In addition to being talked about by Hoda Kotb, the BackStreet Boys, and Princess Kate, even U2 singer Bono mentioned the incident in his autobiography. Because Wendy herself has struggled as a helicopter parent, a cranky parent and an embarrassing parent, she wants to help other parents struggle……..a little bit less!

Do you think brains are sexy, and do you seek an intellectually compatible mate? If so, you may be the Scholar (INTP on the Myers-Briggs test), a knowledge aficionado who loves to learn and values a partner who can keep you thinking. On our Love University podcast, we explored the unique qualities of the Scholar and how they can find a love that stimulates both heart and mind. The Scholar's Approach to Love: As a Scholar, you approach relationships with curiosity and a desire for deep understanding. You value meaningful conversations and are drawn to partners who can engage in intellectual debates and share your passion for knowledge. Your analytical nature means you appreciate honesty and directness, often favoring straightforward communication over emotional nuance. This can lead to profound connections with those who appreciate your thoughtful and introspective demeanor. Challenges in Romantic Relationships: While your intellectual approach is a strength, it can also present challenges. You may find it difficult to express emotions, leading partners to perceive you as distant or detached. Your preference for logic over emotion might cause you to overlook the emotional needs of your partner, potentially leading to misunderstandings. Additionally, your tendency to become absorbed in your thoughts can make you seem unavailable or uninterested in the relationship. Finding Your Intellectual Match: To find a partner who complements your scholarly nature, consider the following: Seek Shared Interests: Engage in activities and communities that align with your intellectual passions, such as academic clubs, book discussions, or science forums. Prioritize Open Communication: Be transparent about your need for intellectual stimulation and seek a partner who values and reciprocates this need. Balance Logic with Emotion: While you thrive on intellectual connection, remember to nurture the emotional aspects of a relationship. Practice expressing your feelings and be attentive to your partner's emotional cues. By embracing your intellectual strengths and addressing potential challenges, you can build a fulfilling relationship that satisfies your intellect and emotional needs. Now it's up to you: Valentine's Day is almost here. Go out this week and connect with like-minded individuals who match your thirst for knowledge, competence, and wisdom. Who knows, your compatible love partner may be a click or text away.

In this video, we explore the INTP personality type and why they tend to dislike small talk. While many people may not enjoy small talk, INTPs, in particular, struggle with it due to their dominant function of introverted thinking. This analytical and inquisitive part of their personality makes them question the purpose and relevance of small talk, which can feel like a waste of time and energy.Additionally, INTPs have extroverted feeling as their inferior function, which can make social interactions and social courtesies challenging for them. This function, which we call the unifying envoy, is responsible for creating harmony and social bonds, which can be at odds with the INTP's analytical and introspective nature. If you're an INTP or know someone who is, this video can shed some light on why small talk can be difficult for them and how to navigate social interactions more effectively. So join us as we delve deeper into the INTP personality type and why they hate small talk.#INTP #MBTI #smalltalk #socialstruggles #introvertedthinking #extrovertedfeeling #analyticalthinking #deepconversations #socialanxiety #personalitytypeOriginal video: https://youtube.com/shorts/AHibVIguXwA?si=uo7l6VHLwQNOWkT-Support the Show.

Hey Everyone! On this week’s episode, we have a really interesting conversation based on a suggestion by listener Michelle Kenyon about the Myers-Briggs personality type system. We first explain the background and purpose of Myers-Briggs for those who are unfamiliar. We had both previously taken the test for ourselves and discovered that: AJ is an INTP, while Tara’s type has changed from ISFJ to INFP. We discuss the characteristics of our respective types and how they relate to our own personalities. Then we take the test for Eve, and based on our answers, we find that Eve’s personality type is ISTJ, also known as the Logistician. ISTJs are practical, fact-minded individuals who value stability and predictability. But what we found most interesting is one of the suggested careers for ISTJs is: Law enforcement! It was a really great conversation and I think you’ll enjoy listening to it!
On this episode of the Personality Hacker podcast, Joel and Antonia dive into how INTPs can use personality know-how to embrace and love who they are. The conversation also touches on what the other 15 personality types can learn from INTPs about self-love. https://personalityhacker.com

In my latest video, I reflect on how mental wellness has been a throughline in my life and share my vision for being a "junction box" between people and the therapists, coaches, consultants, and creatives who can support them. Instead of being the expert, I want to diagnose where people are stuck and direct them to the right resources. There's so much potential for us to help each other if we connect authentically, individual to individual. What are your thoughts? NT types, or “rationals”, are problem-solvers known for their ingenious, independent, and strong-willed nature. They prize knowledge and competency and use their abilities to understand and improve our world. NF types, or “idealists”, are naturally drawn to helping improve and inspire people. They are filled with good will and kindness and have a unique talent for helping others work together.

I've seen many questions about sensing and intuiting confusion so I thought I'd make a video to try to help. When sensing and intuiting are in your auxiliary and tertiary position, many people get confused because both are on their conscious radar.Hopefully this look into sensing and intuiting solves some confusion because I went into the mechanics of each cognitive function polarity; extraverted sensing and introverted intuition, and extraverted intuition and introverted sensing. And yes, I related each of them to the RPG model so you get a feel of the metaphorical character and behaviors that stem from the cognitive functions.Original video: https://youtu.be/-6sDrzzzMhU ***Connect and Support Geek Psychology #geekpsychology ***Socials, courses, and 1-on-1 coaching services: geekpsychology.com INFP only community and safe place and INFP MasterclassGeeky Myers Briggs Personality Type MerchSupport on PatreonSupport the showBuy my book: Personal Transformation Journaling: End the Cycle of Self-Sabotage and Create Lasting Positive Change Through Writing, Reflection and the Parts Work
Are you an INTP who is tired of friends, relatives, and random strangers asking you when you're going to get married?i can't stop them from doing what they're doing, but here's some advice for what you can do and why things are so different for you as an INTP.Original video: https://youtu.be/RwMYDuiRkeo ***Connect and Support Geek Psychology #geekpsychology ***Socials, courses, and 1-on-1 coaching services: geekpsychology.com INFP only community and safe place and INFP MasterclassGeeky Myers Briggs Personality Type MerchSupport on PatreonSupport the showBuy my book: Personal Transformation Journaling: End the Cycle of Self-Sabotage and Create Lasting Positive Change Through Writing, Reflection and the Parts Work
As an INFP myself, it's always been important for me to try to find a way to help others understand the meaning of my MBTI personality type. It's not just about the traits or having explained one type vs another - it's more about getting them to really see me and know how I work deep down or how I stand on certain topics because of being the "mediator" type. If you're an INFP, does that resonate for you too? Many other channels like psych2go have gone to answer the question of "what does INFP mean" - and they're likely not wrong :) But I always feel like I need to give another version of it - especially as a male INFP who is trying to help people like you understand themselves and improve their relationships. It can help to study how celebrities act, but their career doesn't usually take them to delving into topics like this. TikTok gives you memes, but not much substantial advice. I have many different playlist options in the channel's home page as well (cognitive functions, relationships, personal growth - and even some for other types like INFJ and INTP too). So, whether you're a 4w5, a 9w1, a male, a female, or some other dynamic, I really do hope that this video helps you understand yourself better.Original video: https://youtu.be/GnghMu-J_eA ***Connect and Support Geek Psychology #geekpsychology ***Socials, courses, and 1-on-1 coaching services: geekpsychology.com INFP only community and safe place and INFP MasterclassGeeky Myers Briggs Personality Type MerchSupport on PatreonSupport the showBuy my book: Personal Transformation Journaling: End the Cycle of Self-Sabotage and Create Lasting Positive Change Through Writing, Reflection and the Parts Work
