Beatrice Chestnut and Uranio Paes discuss how early childhood development is impacted by Enneagram types. As adults, if we make the connections between our current struggles to unattended needs that come from childhood, it can make behavioral changes easier. This valuable theme is taught in the CP Enneagram Academy's professional Enneagram Skills workshop, which is offered online each year. They reference Sigmund Freud, Claudio Naranjo, Karne Horney, and many others who have paved the way to understanding this relationship between nature and nurture. Maria Grazia Cecchini"L'Enneagramma della società"Mali del mondo. Mali dell'anima. Envidia - Falsa carencia 5. Avaricia - Aislamiento 6. Cobardía - Duda 7. Gula - Autoindulgencia 8. Lujuria - Venganza 9. Pereza - Indolencia

The Enneagram originated as an oral tradition about 2000 years ago in Afghanistan. It later spread to Asia, Bolivia, Chile, and eventually to the US, where Claudio Naranjo passed it on to a Jesuit priest, Bob Ochs, SJ. It became a course at Loyola University in Chicago in 1971. Based on a simple symbol, it explains the journey of self-discovery into personality types. It is said that the One God walked around dispensing nine aspects of Its personality. If one follows the compulsion for safety, it is a journey of self-salvation. But if one goes against that compulsion, the journey is one that looks at the One God for salvation. Today, there are many explanations of this work, and there is a lot of confusion. Here are the five key themes to know about relationships with Enneagram Type Nine Peacemakers. These themes span the entire spectrum of healthy vs unhealthy 9s, so BE WARNED! These episodes contain more critical commentary than your average enneagram content on social media as I believe that's the heart of the enneagram's purpose (i.e. self-critical reflection that leads to true self-acceptance, healing, and personal growth). It's also not a one-size-fits all episode, so some of this should not resonate with everyone, especially in the higher levels of health. What is an Instinctual Stack? Do you know yours? We all have three instincts. None of us are absent one. However, one does tend to be dominant. But what are instincts and how do they influence how each type shows up in the world? Today's guest, Elan Benami, creator of the EnneaApp and author of Enneagram Patterns & Poetics, provides a great overview of Instincts, Subtypes, and the Instinctual Stack and shares how they play out for him in his personal and professional life. – Elan is an LPC with a MA in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology and BA in Philosophy. In addition to his own private counseling practice, Elan is the Clinical Director of People House - a non-profit that provides affordable counseling in Colorado. Elan was introduced to the Enneagram in 2008 by his first therapist. He then did intense studying with Lori Ohlson, who was his supervisor. Claudio Naranjo was Lori's primary teacher, so there is a deep kinship with his work. Other major Enneagram teachers who have shaped Elan include Helen Palmer, Russ Hudson, Don Riso, and Sandra Maitri. Elan and Lori Ohlson have co-facilitated many Enneagram classes/workshops, most of them in the narrative tradition. Through Lori's Enneagram material (of over 25 years of teaching the Enneagram), Elan created the EnneaApp, initially for the purpose of having something to quickly reference between sessions. Through the years, he has adapted the content to be more reflective of his own experience while also preserving Lori's lineage. The app has over 1.5 million downloads. Popular Christian books, big ministries, and a soon-to-be summit on the gospel and the enneagram all signal that this tool is not going away anytime soon. Russell Moore, Darrin Patrick, Lisa Vischer and others have promoted this tool to evangelical audiences. But should Christians be using this tool? I contend that the enneagram's demonic roots are an issue but I'm most concerned about something else.
