And then this company asked if I wanted to work for them so I deferred University for a year, to get some work experience and then go travel. I never went back to University, I absolutely loved the work I was doing ” Take flight into Adam's journey - upbringing in Melbourne, Australia - view of his life as an adventure that has taken him all over the world - Europe, China and more recently Dallas in the USA. bio: Some say, having a rhythm and good taste in music defines the essentials qualities of a DJ. True or not, it certainly describes Adam Charles. Coming from a musical background, a constant source of invigoration and desire to be part of it, whether it was the Bass in the orchestra, or making mix tapes for all his friends and family, there was no shortage of a quality groove. It wasn’t until his discovery of electronic music in the early 90’s, mostly Trance, House, Acid House, Breaks, techno and more, did his focus narrow and his passion become apparent. A native to Metro-Detroit, as well as a seasoned veteran of Detroit’s legendary nightlife, the music always spoke to, and invigorated Adam’s soul. Asking anyone who knows him, he would always be found throwing down on the dancefloor, movin’ and flowin’ to that beat as if they were one. Taking this same energy, love and passion for the music and rhythmic expression, Adam finds himself on the other side of those decks, droppin’ the choicest tracks to create a sound and energy that will leave its mark on you. Adam currently runs a residency called HEATER, a flourishing event at The High Dive, Hamtramck, that features local Detroit, alongside his crew, 5th Dimension Detroit, a DJ collective, who work together and have been making waves in the scene, whether they play out or throw successful events, such as Tangent Gallery, Robert C.
