This was the first email response SHLTMM received from Karina stating, "my mom and I have always been really close. She has always been super supportive of me wanting to pursue music. She always knew along with her late father that I would grow up to be musical because as a baby I would hum and sing songs before I was able to speak. I've been really blessed with great parents who both attend nearly every one of my performances since I first started performing. I'm very lucky to have a very supportive and close family."If truly was effortless speaking with Norma and Karina. Norma shared stories of her mother and father, both Armenian and both very present in her life, especially before and after Karina was born. As I mentioned earlier, Karina was a preemie baby and Norma was bed ridden in the hospital for a number of weeks before her daughter was born. Norma's mother , Karina's grandmother instilled confidence in her daughter and helped her stay strong during the tough times. Again, the pediatric doctor's told Norma that her baby may not make it to certain milestones, yet Norma was confident because of her mother's endless support and wisdom. Christmas is a very special time for me because I had my twins on Christmas Eve. Now, to many Christmas Eve is a fun and special day but in my Manifestation World, it means so much more. When the twins arrived on Christmas Eve, I knew that anything was possible. After my miscarriages, I was manifesting twins, two boys at Christmas. They were due in January 2023 but they arrived on Christmas Eve. What I now know for absolutely sure is that anything is possible when you believe - ANYTHING.It doesn't matter what you are manifesting, a baby, a soulmate, dream job, business expansion, this episode is to show you that it is possible. If you want 2026 to be your year, join my Manifestation Challenge. If you've been to 29029 or are training to take on your Everest, you know Coach Brent Pease (and if you don't…..maybe you should stop what you are doing and open your emails with the training plan.) Brent's story of coaching hundreds of athletes each year along their journey at 29029 is awesome in and of itself…..but there is a larger part of Brent's story that has created the foundation of the coach we know today. That other part of the story is Brent's brother Kyle. If you've been lucky enough to be on the mountain in the past few years to hear Brent and Kyle speak, you know what I'm talking about. This brother team has defied the odds in endurance sport to toe the line at some of the most prestigious events in the world. They aren't just brothers, but athletes and the inspiration behind The Kyle Pease Foundation who spread inclusion for those with disabilities in the world of endurance sport and beyond. Spending a few minutes with Brent & Kyle will remind you that anything is possible.

Anything is possible as we welcome power pop icon Chris Stamey from the dB's as our Third Lad! Our focus topic is on the producers of the O3L era - the sonic architects that carry out the visions of the artists we love and shape the sound of our favorite records. And Chris Stamey is someone who knows, as he's produced some fantastic records over the years, including albums by Pylon, Whiskeytown, Le Tigre, The Butchies, Alejandro Escovedo, and many more. Of course, that's only scratching the surface of Chris's amazing 50 year career, from releasing one of the earliest DIY indie records (Sneakers) to playing with Alex Chilton in the late '70s to being one of the creative forces in the seminal, era-defining band the dB's, to his fruitful solo career, a radio play, a songwriting memoir, and working with over 100 artists including fellow dB and recent O3L guest Peter Holsapple, Yo La Tengo, Freedy Johnston, The Golden Palominos, and more recently with The Salt Collective and Jody Stephens' Big Star Quintet. We chat with Chris about his gorgeous new album, Anything Is Possible, the influence of Brian Wilson, Alex Chilton, Tin Pan Alley, and the Lemon Twigs, the essence of being Chris Stamey, and the enduring legacy of producers like Martin Hannett, Martin Rushent, John Leckie, Scott Litt, Mitch Easter, Joe Foster, Steve Albini, Rick Rubin, Gil Norton, John Fry, Chris Thomas, and more. During this episode, you will hear: Chris Stamey - "Anything Is Possible" Chris Stamey - "Meet Me In Midtown" The Salt Collective - "Last Day We're Young" Thanks to Howard Wuelfing from Howlin' Wuelf Media for the introduction and coordination. In this episode, the boys celebrate a hard-fought Nashville victory - FINALLY - over the evil empire of Miami. It's almost too unbelievable to process, but they are riding high talking about all the incredible play across the pitch from the boys in gold. So they dole out some aw hell yeahs... and then they hand out some MORE aw hell yeahs... and then they hand out even MORE aw hell yeahs! That's right, you're getting triple the aw hell yeahs in this episode for the same great price. Every player gets their spotlight, but seriously - Josh Bauer was incredible!! And then the boys share some spicy takes about whether NSC is done winning this season and what was the most important moment of the season. And by the way, you can learn to be a real man by leading like Hany Mukhtar. Finally, the boys make some bold predictions about the final match coming up between Nashville and Miami. And they drink beer.
One of Czechia's most distinctive jewellery designers, Zdeněk Vacek currently has a sensational retrospective of his quarter-century career at Prague's Museum of Decorative Arts. Vacek, a goldsmith by trade, was previously known for his work under the name Zorya with then life partner Daniel Pošta but now operates solo, mainly producing tailor-made pieces for often affluent clients. I spoke to him at the exhibition.

In today's Gospel, Jesus says to us, "If you had faith the size of a mustard tree, you would say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and cast into the sea' and it would happen." While this is impossible for man, nothing is impossible for God. What is the impossible thing -- the miracle -- that you desire of God? May our faith be strengthened so that we will believe that God can do even this!

Dennis is joined via Zoom by author Stephanie Elizondo Griest to discuss her latest book Art Above Everything: One Woman's Global Exploration of the Joys and Torments of a Creative Life, which is so up Dennis's alley. (Actually, a listener reached out to Dennis and said, "You need to check out this book. It's what you talk about all the time.") Stephanie talks about the through line that many of the women she profiled share, how the big things that happened in world while she was working on the book--COVID, her own cancer diagnosis, the #metoo movement, Trumpism--impacted her work and the question for artists that lies at the heart of the book; Is it worth it? Stephanie also talks about the alternative paths she could have chosen, how even the safe roads in life aren't safe anymore and what she's observed about young people since she started working as a writing professor in North Carolina. Other topics include: the boyfriend she had when she was living in Russia who was given an offer to kill someone for money, her complicated relationship to belly dancing, getting to spend time with one of her heroes. author Sandra Cisneros, the Ugandan playwright she interviewed who saw where Trumpism was heading way back in 2015, how various foreign countries support their artists and how American's Karen-esque sense of entitlement may be what ends up saving us all. https://stephanieelizondogriest.com

Today's guest is Chris Stamey. He's done A LOT! He grew up in North Carolina, playing bass with Mitch Easter and Peter Holsapple. They played in churches and coffee shops because those were the only places at the time that encouraged original music. Around this time he began studying music at the University of North Carolina. He transferred to NYU but because of some weird scheduling issues, his music studies translated to a degree in philosophy. But his time there also introduced him to Alex Chilton and Richard Lloyd. Richard played a huge part in the formation of one of Chris' early bands, The dB's. We barely scratch the surface of his career here. Chris is very candid about his time in The dB's as well as his latest album, Anything Is Possible. It took shape in a unique way and there are some unusual musical ideas there; like combining Humphrey Bogart with Roy Orbison. That'll make more sense once you listen to the episode. The album is a journey through Chris' evolution of musical loves and influences. Check it out on streaming platforms. Buy it wherever you can. What an absolute pleasure it is to have the wonderful Kim O'Sullivan on the podcast. Kim, who is the founder of the truly exceptional brand Brow Aid is an example of a woman who had an idea and against the odds, made it into a reality. She talks about how sometimes you need to hit rock bottom to actually get to a better place and shares a story of a true love for beauty, brow obsession, trying to make everything work as a single parent and eventually taking a risk and it paying off. This kind of episode really is my favourite because it's a message to us all that whatever rut we're stuck in, we CAN get out of it. There's always a way! You're going to love getting to know this truly brilliant woman!

You've been told that anything is possible so many times that the words have lost their meaning. You've watched other people achieve incredible things while you feel stuck in the same patterns, the same limitations, the same disappointments. And maybe part of you has started to believe that those success stories happen to other people - the lucky ones, the chosen ones, the ones who were born with something you weren't given. But what if I told you that every single person who has ever achieved something extraordinary started exactly where you are right now? What if I told you that the feeling of being stuck, of being limited, of being ordinary is actually the launching pad for everything miraculous that's about to unfold in your life? You see, impossibility isn't a wall - it's a doorway. And the people who walk through that doorway aren't special in the way you think they are. They're special in only one way: they refused to accept the story that everyone else accepted about what was possible for them. This activation isn't going to give you empty promises or surface-level motivation. In this episode you're going to experience something that rewires your entire relationship with limitation itself. You're going to discover that the voice in your head that says 'that's impossible for someone like me' is not your voice. It's not even based on your reality. It's based on a collection of old stories, inherited beliefs, and statistical probabilities that have absolutely nothing to do with what you're actually capable of. Every breakthrough in human history started with someone who was told it couldn't be done. Every miracle began with someone who refused to accept the limitations that everyone else took for granted. And every transformation started with someone who felt exactly the way you feel right now - ready for something different, even if they couldn't yet see how it was possible.
James 5:16 says, “The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective.” With faith, anything is possible! In this power-packed message, Ps. Kat encourages us to believe that God will answer our faith-filled prayers. God is looking for people to raise the spiritual temperature.

As a founding member of The dB's he helped define an era of 1970s indie rock and power pop, and his solo work (and duo work with his fellow dB Peter Holsapple) only widened his songwriting vocabulary. Among the distinguished guests joining Stamey on Anything Is Possible are another NC music legend Mitch Easter, plus some friends of the podcast, including The Lemon Twigs, Pat Sansone (Wilco), Marshall Crenshaw, and many more. Lately, Chris has been 1/5th of the Big Star Quintet, performing the music of Big Star (with original drummer Jody Stephens) and this year, he'll release an album with The Salt Collective, in partnership with French musician Stéphane Schück. The Record Store Day Podcast is a weekly music chat show written, produced, engineered and hosted by Paul Myers, who also composed the theme music and selected interstitial music. Executive Producers (for Record Store Day) Michael Kurtz and Carrie Colliton.
