Episode 1143 In this revisit episode, Tim Matthews sits down with Gregory and Derek for a real conversation about what it actually feels like to be lost as a man and how to start finding your way again. They talk openly about disconnection, living for other people, building a life that looks successful on the outside but feels empty underneath, and the moment you finally admit to yourself that something is off. This conversation digs into the pressure men feel to always have the answers, always stay strong, and always know what comes next. The guys share how easy it is to hide behind work, achievement, responsibility, or distractions while quietly feeling disconnected from yourself, your purpose, and the life you actually want. They also talk about what helped them shift out of that place. Things like slowing down, spending time in nature, reconnecting with other men, letting go of pride, asking better questions, and being honest enough to admit when you don't know the answer yet. If you've been feeling stuck, restless, disconnected, or like you're carrying the weight of everything on your own, this episode will help you realize you're not alone and give you a grounded perspective on what it takes to move forward again. Bible prophecy reveals that a Third Temple will stand on Jerusalem's Temple Mount during the Tribulation. One popular theory holds that the Dome of the Rock must be removed first. But does this line up with the biblical data? How close are we to seeing Jewish sacrifices resume on the Temple Mount? The stunning prophetic convergence visible today shows the signs of the seasons. Mark Lindsted joins Josh Davis to explore these topics on today's Watchman on the Wall episode.

I've been wanting to introduce you to these two for a while now.Chelsea and Emily are two of my favorite people on the planet. They're funny, they're real, they're the kind of women who walk into a room and make everyone feel like they belong. And the moment I started getting to know them, I felt like I'd known them my entire life. But what brought us here — to this couch, to this conversation — is their story. And it's one I think a lot of people need to hear. Both Chelsea and Emily were married to men. Both were navigating life inside a religious community. Both had kids. And both, later in life, discovered something about themselves that changed everything. They came out. And in doing so, they had to lose a lot — their marriages, their identities, their communities — to finally become who they actually were.Freedom isn't free. And this episode is proof of that. This is not just a story about sexuality. It's about what it costs to live honestly. It's about the loneliness of going through something no one around you seems to understand. It's about finding the people who have walked your same road. And it's about what you find on the other side of the hardest thing you've ever done.I walked away from this conversation different. More compassionate. More open. More convinced than ever that the path to real freedom almost always runs straight through the thing you're most afraid of.If you've ever had to lose something — or burn something down — to finally find yourself... this one is for you.We talk about:What it actually feels like to come out later in life — with kids, a marriage, and a whole identity on the lineHow your story can get told for you before you're readyThe loneliness of going through something no one around you has experiencedFinding your people — the ones who have walked your exact roadWhat it means to finally stop performing your lifeHow going through hard things makes you less judgmental and more humanRaising kids inside non-traditional families with love, safety, and zero shame"I reserve the right to change and evolve" — and why that's not weakness, it's growthThere's so much laughter in this episode. There's rawness. There are moments that gave me chills. And there are things these two said that I'm still thinking about. This is one of my favorites I've ever recorded. I think you're going to love them as much as I do.Welcome back to Heidi's Lane. ❤️Here are the key moments from the episode:00:00 Why This Episode Hits Different 03:14 How Four Strangers Became Inseparable 07:29 Chelsea's Obsession She Couldn't Explain 12:41 Losing Control of Your Own Coming Out Story 18:06 Navigating Divorce, Kids, and Each Other Simultaneously 23:28 Why Emily Kept Saying No to Everything 28:45 Hell Fast-Tracks You to Your Real Friends 34:03 Meeting Someone Who Has Lived Your Exact Life 38:51 The Treadmill Snub That Almost Ended It All 43:17 How Kids Handle Non-Traditional Families Better Than Adults 47:04 Creating a Home Other People's Kids Run To 51:02 The One Phrase That Changes How You Parent 55:30 The People Judging You Are Living It on Delay 59:57 The Airport Security Guard Who Pushed Too Far 01:04:33 The Space Between Reaction and Response 01:09:14 Why Heidi Is Launching a Women's Supplement Line Connect with Heidi:Website: https://heidipowell.net/Email: podcast@heidipowell.netInstagram: @realheidipowellFacebook: Heidi PowellYouTube: @RealHeidiPowellTrain with Heidi on her Show Up App: https://www.showupfit.app/Connect with Emily and Chelsea:Instagram: @em_moves14

In response to the pride and feelings of superiority of the Pharisees, Jesus told 3 parables. The lost sheep, the lost coin and the lost son. In these he describes God as loving and merciful, seeking and welcoming the lost.
Light is a language, and learning to read it - in a darkened theater, in the stories of your neighbors, in the films you were told to avoid - helps us see clearly. In this conversation, Jeffrey Overstreet and I talk about cinema as a spiritual practice, what it looks like to love your neighbor by actually watching their films, why the filmmakers he was told to fear have shaped his faith far more than he was told they would, and why pursuing truth and beauty on the big screen has a way of leading us back to Jesus.Jeffrey Overstreet is the author of two film-focused memoirs—Through a Screen Darkly (2007) and Lost and Found in the Cathedral of Cinema (2026)—and the four-volume fantasy series The Auralia Thread. He has served as Senior Film Critic at Christianity Today, a film columnist for the literary arts journal Image, and has been published at Paste and Bright Wall/Dark Room. In 2024, students at Seattle Pacific University voted him Undergraduate Professor of the Year for his work teaching creative writing and film studies. From being lost in thought and preoccupied, to effortlessness to manifestation, this episode takes you on an adventure from the ordinary to the extraordinary - an adventure that you can choose to take at any moment, at every moment. We explore how to discover your true nature and how that true nature enables you live like you mean it, moment-to-moment, without you having to deliberately decide to ensure that you're present - your newly renewed neural pathways and connections will do it for you.We revisit - for probably the 253rd time! - the power of meditation: the one choice that you actually need to make every day or almost every day.And we even get into manifestation, debunking the normal understanding of what is considered a phenomenon but which is, in fact, the logical outcome of being present, knowing what's going on, being in the right place and the right time and doing the right things, in the right way, effortlessly.Right action will open the floodgates for you.

Nathan, Bill and Oliver go out on serious mountie business - searching for the medal, but they still can't find it. Lee shows up to tell the students that he needs their help designing the new school. Lucas and Edie talk more about what to do and they get to work on writing up a proposal. To help LJ learn more about his dad, Elizabeth, Nathan and Allie take LJ to do a scavenger hunt to hear stories about Jack. It all leads to Grandma Charlotte showing up and reading him a letter from his dad. Allie is talking to Oliver and she asks Oliver to help look through Jack's old case files that she could show to LJ. She shows it to Charlotte and she loves it and asks if she can hold onto it for a little bit. She awkwardly ends the call. At the schoolhouse, the students present their ideas for the Benson Hills schoolhouse. Rupert and Opal steal the show, open concept and stuff. Lucas loves it and tells them he wants to take the plans to the committee. At supper, Charlotte shows Allie that she created some illustrations to add to her story. Allie loves them and decides it's time to give the book to LJ. LJ loves the gift and begins reading it aloud right away.
