Turning 3 years old is a significant milestone for kids, and for parents too. At this age, kids begin to form a sense of curiosity and develop ideas and opinions about the world around them, especially money. How children see adults handle money will play a significant role in shaping their ideas about money. By setting a good example, parents and grandparents can help instill healthy habits in their children at an early age. Our next guest, Gramps Jeffrey, is a grandfather of six, who has written an award-winning children's book, "I Don't Want to turn 3." It explores what goes through a toddler's mind - which parents often desperately want to understand. He is also the author of the acclaimed business book "The Secrets of Retailing… How to Beat Walmart" and is a regular contributor to The Huffington Post. In this episode, Bob and Gramps Jeffrey discuss the need for conscious and intentional parenting. The simple act of actively listening can instill beneficial habits that can set your child up for success in the future. Grab a copy of "I Don't Want to Turn 3" to help build character and teach life lessons to your toddler in a fun and engaging way. Thank you so much for listening. After a career as an executive in the successful "Everything's A Dollar" retail chain, Gramps Jeffrey was inspired to take a turn at writing a children's book due to his experiences with his own 6 grandchildren. Written during the quiet solitude of the pandemic, "I Don't Want to Turn 3" is based in a true story. Names have been changed to protect the precocious, but it is the story of Justin and a very bad habit he had developed during his terrible two's. We all come to verious moral and ethical crossroads in our lives, and the story explores one of those rites of passage most all of us are forced to confront very early in life. We will not disclose the ending, but you and your own kids and grandkids are sure to appreciate it's lesson. Note: Yeah Uh Huh does not endorse Grand Theft Auto, and any confession to crimes that may or may not have been committed approximately 45 years ago are covered by the Statute of Limitations of our state and are not admissable in court :).
