Besides from breaking down the movie scene by scene, we look at the film's legacy, discuss possible sequels, and name the top five quotes from the film. However, before all of that David and John start the show by reflecting on what they said ten years ago, what still holds up and what hasn't aged as well. Do you ever feel like you are living in Groundhog Day? Like, you are living the same day over and over again. Who or what are we allowing to dictate our life? It’s so silly that a groundhog would dictate something like the seasons, but are we living in that space? Is something external from you dictating your life to live on repeat? You might need to do something, small or big, to stop the feeling that you are living the same day over and over again. I can distinctly remember as a child, the news being on in the morning to see Punxsutawney Phil come out and see his shadow or not. It's not a big deal in Arizona even a little bit, but it is still a day on the calendar and it is just a fun tradition. I don't believe a groundhog seeing its shadow or not determines if we have more winter. I just don't think that's how it works. It did make for a really funny movie with Bill Murrary though in 1993. My question is are you living in Groundhog Day? Who or what are we allowing to dictate our life? It’s so silly that a groundhog would dictate something like the seasons, but are we living in that space? Is something external from you dictating your life to live on repeat? A lot of people wonder why there is a midlife crisis. I believe part of the reason we see this is because people live on repeat and have a limit for living this way. Whether it’s in work or marriage, people live in Groundhog Day and eventually hit their limit, leaving them to check out, change everything or feel in crisis. You might be in a place where you can prevent Groundhog Day. It’s going to take you making some changes now. You might need to do something, small or big, to stop the feeling that you are living the same day over and over again. Visualize yourself ten years from now, if you live the same days over and over again, and ask yourself if this is where you want to be. Are you left wondering, “why didn’t I change something?” There is power in making the little and big changes in your life.
