Halloween is nearly here and to celebrate we're diving into the trashy side of horror. Yeah, it's Troma time! We'll take a look at some Troma films that might be light on horror but they are heavy on that toxic Troma goodness. Randy gets romantic with Tromeo and Juliet, Melanie sings the praises of Cannibal: The Musical, and Jesse actually brings the horror vibes with Blood Junkie. Before all that, though, we discuss a new movie that's been… how many years coming? Oh yeah, 40 years. Halloween Kills! Does evil actually die tonight… or is the Halloween franchise? For the 11th time. Randy and Melanie also talk about seeing Halloween Kills and John Carpenter's The Thing at the drive-in.We are also joined by Paul of Moose's Monster Mash to talk Troma because not only is he a fan, he also just released an interview with Lloyd Kaufman on his podcast! Happy Halloween! This week we cover some scaaaaaary stuff. The first scary thing is a beer from Nightmare Brewing (originally from New York) called "Glasgow Smile." It's a Leipzig Gose that comes in at 6.7%. Our second beer was "Blood Junkie," an 8.7% Imperial Red Ale from Three Weavers Brewing Co out of Inglewood, CA. The "scary" thing sandwiched in between those alcoholic wonders is "Zombieland: Double Tap." It's a sequel to the 2009 film of a similar name. We hope you enjoy! Episode Timeline: 0:00 Intro & "Glasgow Smile" 22:03 FLICK PICKS: "Gangs of New York" (2002) 30:10 Zombieland (No Spoilers) - DANGER ZONE - 48:42"Blood Junkie" 1:08:25 Hot & Bothered 1:19:56 Zombieland (Spoilers) Seriously guys, it's Halloween.
