I give you my thoughts on this year's MCX (aka "DonnieCon"), and share an interview I did there with one our favorite artists- Mike Norton. It was great catching up with Norton and finding out more about his "Battlepug" Kickstarter campaign, "Krypto: The Last Dog Of Krypton" comic series for DC Comics, and "Revival" TV series on SyFy. In this episode one of the FM3's Patreon Top Dawgs picked a movie that the guys were very skeptical about and never imagined watching it. Having heard the name and seen the VHS artwork Jef, Josh and Brian could only imagine that this flick was nothing more than a  janky music video for Boris Pickett & The Crypt Kicker 5's punishing jam "The Monster Mash".  Thank goodness it wasn't and because It is actually a pretty fun horror anthology with some cool musical numbers. Plus you get a monster sized dose of Vincent Price and John Carradine as the book ends of each of the stories and boy oh boy they are hamming it up and down. The best part is that Boris Pickett was nowhere to be found and for the Forever Midnight boys that meant this flick might not stink to high heavens like the Wolfman's nards or the Crypt Kickers crypt knickers.

This past weekend I dropped off Drac and my other art for this year's Monster Market. I'll have "Scared Silly" zines, art prints, stickers, "BATS" trading cards, hand-drawn sketchcards and sketchcovers, original Monsterpiece art, and more. Susan Browne and Dion read from Susan's new book, Monster Mash⁠, and talk about Nicole Sealey's poem Object PermanenceSusan Browne is the author of four poetry collections, including Monster Mash (Four Way Books, 2025) and Just Living (Catamaran Literary Reader, 2019), winner of the 2019 Catamaran Poetry Prize. She is a recipient of the Four Way Books Intro Prize, the James Dickey Poetry Prize and a Fine Arts Work Center Fellowship. She was an English Professor for 34 years and currently teaches poetry workshops online. She lives in Northern California.
