Casey Hayward joins Bryant McFadden to discuss everything from dominating at Vanderbilt to playing cards with Aaron Rodgers & Philip Rivers to the Falcons nearly landing Deshaun Watson. First, we start with Casey's journey beginning as a high school star in the state of Georgia, but a career that didn't result in a ton of elite college offers. Casey explains how he took advantage of his time at Vanderbilt and what it was like to be drafted by the Green Bay Packers and learn under Charles Woodson for a season. As someone that spent 4 years with the Packers organization, Hayward shares his thoughts on Rodgers' relationship with the team and how it has played out over the past two seasons. Next, we move to the next chapter of his career which consisted of four years with the Chargers, 2 All-Pro selections and playing alongside Philip Rivers. Casey spent 2021 with the Raiders and it was a challenging season. He takes us through the hardest parts, a near tie in Week 18 vs his former team and the outlook after adding Davante Adams. Hayward details why he signed with Atlanta and his emotions of dealing with their recent QB rollercoaster. Casey was with Deshaun Watson just a few days before his trade and got the sense that he wanted to be with the Browns. So now, Atlanta has Casey's teammate in Las Vegas last season, Marcus Mariota, as quarterback. What can fans expect? Welcome to 2022, we are back and better than ever! We have a jam-packed show talking about football and baseball. We lead off with the awful G-Men. Is Coach Judge dead man walking after his 11-minute rant after another disgusting loss to the Bears last Sunday? The Giants netted -10 PASSING YARDS!!!! you read that right. His seat is 100% boiling that's for sure. Next topic, we talk about Big Ben's final game in Pittsburg, We reminisce about the 2004 draft class that was Eli Manning, Philip Rivers, and Big Ben. We all agree that all three of them should be in the hall of fame at some point when they are able to be voted into it. We changed sports for a bit, there was a NY Post article suggesting that Espn might experiment with the "ManningCast" style of broadcast for baseball and it would feature A-Rod. We break down if it would be a great idea or a bad idea for Espn to do something so great in the ManningCast. Would it work for baseball? That turned into how baseball could be the same for the younger generations. Hopefully, baseball figures it out sooner rather than later. We break down our weekly football picks. Week 18 is here and there are plenty of teams' playoff lives are on the line and plenty at stake. Enjoy your final regular-season weekend of the season! See you next week when we talk about the Wild Card Round of the playoffs. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/sndpodcast-channel/message

Going Long on First is back with another week of football talk! This week we look at the AFC North division. Before that, we discuss the Carson Wentz and Quenton Nelson injuries and the impact they will have on the Colts, and Eagles (sorry Jeremy). Shortly after Wentz' timeline was announced, Philip Rivers said he would leave the door open for a "late season return." Is this coincidence in timing with the Wentz injury? Could Rivers return to the Colts this year? We discuss that and more. The AFC North was one of the most competitive divisions last year, and this year projects no differently. The Browns are stacked, Ravens still have Lamar, and the Steelers are the Steelers. We look at each team, give our division prediction, and of course, our top 5 (A and B) players within the division. (00:21:00-1:51:00) Last but not least, Benson's Brainbusters returns with Owen hosting round two. Can Jeremy get revenge on Seth? (1:51:00-2:22:00) As always, thank you for supporting and listening.
