So much of our childhood is stored in our subconscious memory. As children we're little sponges who soak up everything about the world around us and more often than not - we assume everything is true. As adults, these deep rooted beliefs about ourselves are projected outward into the world causing us to repeat patterns or choose the same situations...until we do the inner child work to heal our inner wounds and break the cycle! Your inner child is also your most pure and authentic self, which is why getting to know them again can be so freeing. In this episode we chat about what it means to meet your inner child and how to get to know them again to ultimately heal their wounds (because we all have them!!). This week the girls revisit a tried and true book "Attached: The Science of Adult Attachment and How it Can Help You Find and Keep Love." Specifically they discuss the chapter on effective communication and explore how various attachment styles both struggle and succeed in communicating with their partners. The girls also share their own experiences with communication efficacy and breakdowns in past relationships. Erica approaches the conversation having tested as a 'secure' attachment style and discusses times that she's related to the 'anxious' and 'avoidant' styles in her attempts to communicate with partners. Molly, a rarer 'anxious-avoidant' attachment style, talks about her past struggles to communicate needs and emotions to romantic partners. 20% off your order at Sunset Lake CBD with PROMO CODE: SGS20 at SunsetLakeCBD.com Get extra exclusive episodes & discounts by joining the Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/Shootersgottashoot Check out our new blog posting every Sunday! **LEAVE US A RATING AND REVIEW ON APPLE PODCASTS** Follow us on Instagram Erica Spera: instagram.com/spericaa // Molly DeMellier: instagram.com/theguaca_molly Email us your questions & DM stories at: shootersgottashootpod@gmail.com or DM us: instagram.com/shootersgottashootpod If you'd like to join Erica's NYC based Herpes Support group: https://www.meetup.com/NYC-Herpes-Support-Meetup/ or email: herpesgroupnyc@gmail.com www.shootersgottashoot.com --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/shootersgottashoot/support

In this episode of the Single Mother Survival Guide Podcast, Julia chats with Veronica Grant. Veronica is a Dating Mindset Coach, host of Date Yourself Radio, and creator of the Dating Mindset Bootcamp. Veronica helps women enjoy the process of dating and meeting higher quality men. But what she REALLY does is teach women how to treat themselves the way they want to be treated. We discuss why we need to treat ourselves like queens (and how to do it), why we should date ourselves, how to find the time to date, answering the questions - Where are all the good men? and Why am I still single?, why we fall into a pattern of falling for the same types (who aren't necessarily good for us), if it's better to go with your head or your heart, how we can let go of the fear of having a relationship after an unhealthy or toxic one, what are the red flags that we should be looking out for, and dealing with feelings of rejection.
