Most people don't realise marriage is the most legally significant thing you'll do and enter it with zero plan, yet they plan everything in fitness. Passion and chemistry don't equal partnership compatibility, and complacency kills relationships when partners stop trying after "locking someone in." Relationships need intentionality, maintenance, and honest feedback like any other area of life. The hardest part isn't falling in love, it's believing you're worthy of it. Heartbreak is painful but beautiful because grief proves you had something worth losing, and those experiences create the depth most people never experience.00:00 Introduction06:21 Past Relationships and Compatibility10:19 Relationships as Career vs Side Hustle14:55 Designing a Perfect Life Without Marriage18:40 Complacency and Maintenance in Marriage27:10 Honesty and Difficult Conversations in Relationships30:21 Teaching Relationship Skills and Managing Disconnection35:12 Comparison Between Fitness and Relationships40:42 Age and Experience in Love and Marriage45:48 Intentionality in Relationships and Maintaining Love50:01 Appreciating and Valuing Relationships55:14 Overcoming Fear and Embracing Love1:02:59 The Importance of Having Children1:05:47 Financial Stability and Motivation with Children1:11:22 Fame, Wealth, and Relationship Challenges1:18:10 Performance Art in Relationships and Social Media1:25:33 Belief in Love and Life's Fundamental Questions» Escape the 9-5 & build your dream life - https://www.digitalplaybook.net/» Transform your physique - https://www.thrstapp.com/» My clothing brand, THRST - https://thrstofficial.com» Discover Bioniq Lab peptide products- https://bioniqlab.com/mike1010% off with code MIKE10» Join our newsletter for actionable insights from every episode: https://thrst-letter.beehiiv.com/» Join Whoop and get your first month for free - join.whoop.com/FirstThingsThrst» Follow JamesInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/nycdivorcelawyer/?hl=enWebsite: https://www.nycdivorces.com/

Why Past Relationships Are Still SPIRITUALLY Attached to You

You may have moved on — but have they? According to Scripture, every relationship you've ever "cleaved" to left a spiritual residue. Lance Wallnau unpacks the Hebrew word dabaq — the same word God uses for marriage covenant bonding — and reveals why past romantic and emotional connections may still be spiritually glued to you right now, affecting your intimacy, your prayer life, and your ability to walk in freedom. Is that "stuck" feeling in your current relationships actually a spiritual problem — not an emotional one? In this episode: * The Hebrew word dabaq (cleave) — what it literally means to be "stuck like glue" to another person * Why Solomon's 700 wives opened every demonic door in ancient Israel — and the modern parallel * How spiritual soul ties form and why they don't break automatically when relationships end * The divine council framework behind why God is so serious about who you "cleave" to * What the kings of Israel teach us about gatekeeping our own hearts * How to identify hidden spiritual open doors in your relationships, your home, and your mind * The connection between generational patterns, broken soul ties, and spiritual warfare in your house If you've ever felt spiritually off — like something from your past is still pulling on you — this is the episode that finally names what's happening.

Tis the season, or so it seems, to reflect on all I wish I'd done differently. While these breakups and ruptures I speak of are from a few years back, the things I wish I'd done around them to better integrate the pain and learn from my own mistakes, still (very much) ring true in life. First and foremost, I wish I hadn't mainlined so much self help content, such that I drowned out my own lived experience from the loss. Second, I wish I'd had more intimate and difficult conversations with those that I hurt, those I faced conflict with, and those that I was losing.Connect with me on Substack: https://claraartschwager.substack.com/Work with me PrivatelyConnect on InstagramWebsitePodcast Production by James Jorge

So many of us spend our lives hiding our brokenness—pretending everything's fine while we carry deep wounds that keep us from true freedom. In this honest conversation, Steve and Colleen share their personal journeys of pain, healing, and restoration. They tackle why most people resist admitting they're broken, what happens if we ignore it, and how Jesus transforms our deepest wounds into places of life and freedom. From coffee-spilled meltdowns to the image of a Lamborghini built to reflect glory, they unpack what it really means to embrace your brokenness—and why it's the essential first step toward living the abundant life God intended. If you've ever wrestled with shame, performance, or simply the ache of “not enough,” this episode will remind you: your brokenness isn't the end of your story—it's the place where God begins His healing work.Link to Upcoming Book: Embracing the Wayhttps://www.embracingtheway.com/Chapters00:00 The Coffee Incident: A Lesson in Healing02:52 Embracing Brokenness: The Journey Begins05:44 Understanding Brokenness: A Purposeful Perspective08:57 The Process of Healing: A Personal Journey11:42 Marriage and Brokenness: Recognizing Triggers14:49 The Impact of Past Relationships on Healing17:47 The Role of Vulnerability in Healing21:00 Authenticity vs. Performance: The Struggle23:47 The Consequences of Ignoring Brokenness26:42 The Importance of Connection: Staying Rooted29:46 The Journey of Restoration: Embracing the Process32:42 The Call to Action: Living Authentically35:44 Final Thoughts: The Beauty of Brokenness

They've found their voices, their purpose, and the freedom to be their authentic selves. This episode is a reminder that when women heal, it creates space for men to do the same. He experienced withdrawal symptoms and used other drugs to combat the sickness. His addiction affected his relationships and led to risky behavior, such as sleeping with others for drugs. David's father tried to intervene and get him help, but he resisted initially. Eventually, David reached a breaking point and sought treatment at a rehab center. Finding joy and replacing old behaviors with healthier ones is crucial in recovery. Being a sober parent comes with its own challenges, but putting oneself first is essential for being able to show up for the children. Having a community and support system is important in maintaining sobriety. The fear of relapse is a common concern, but staying connected to a recovery program can help prevent it. Sharing personal experiences and stories can provide hope and inspiration to others in recovery.
