This movie is something of a double-edged sword for Disney, in that it's generally considered one of their most iconic and loved works, while also being one of their most infamously racist. Everyone knows the depiction of Native Americans in this movie hasn't held up, but how much does that affect the overall product? And how's the story around that? Is the good in this one worth sitting through the bad, or is this particular film best left to rot inside the Disney vault? Steve Jobs. Marilyn Monroe. Megan Fox. Angelina Jolie. David Beckham. What do all of these celebrities have in common? They all have a diagnosed personality disorder. Personality Disorders are defined by enduring patterns of inner experience/behavior that deviate markedly from cultural expectations (per the DSM-5). All in all, there are 10 defined personality disorders as well as an 11th type referred to as Personality Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (PDNOS). Approximately 9% of all adults in the United States experience personality disorders. But, for some reason, this type of mental health disorder still remains to be highly misunderstood and heavily stigmatized in this day and age. Listen in to today's episode to find out why this may be, the history behind the discovery and diagnosis of personality disorders, and how we can work together to break the stigma. To take the Personality Disorder screening mentioned in today's episode, please visit Psych Central's Website here. Intro/Outro Music: "Gasoline" by HalseyIntro Media: "Borderline Talks Back," a TEDtalk by Coral MoreTransition Music: "Cry Baby" by Melanie MartinezCommercial Media: "I AM Borderline," Wright Institute Los AngelesImage: metro.co.ukAlso featuring clips from Gone Girl (2014), Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971), Disney's Peter Pan (1953), The Big Bang Theory (CBS, 2007-2019), and "What It's Like to Live With Borderline Personality Disorder" (Medline, 2019).

Website: www.1geek411.com ● “Feature Film” – Tinker Bell (Video 2008) ○ Born from a baby’s laugh and carried by the wind to Pixie Hollow in Neverland, Tinker Bell learns she is destined to be a Tinker fairy. She hears all about the amazing things the nature fairies get to do to bring spring to the mainland and is excited to go see it. Using her talent she creates devices she intends to take to the mainland to help her fellow fairies. Upon learning the upsetting news that tinker fairies do not go to the mainland, she asks her friends to teach her their nature talents, hoping she can go. None of her attempts are successful and she seeks Vidia (a fast-flying/wind fairy) for help and she purposefully sabotages Tinker Bell. The situation quickly turns into chaos, ruining the preparations the other fairies have made, preventing spring from coming on time. When Tinker Bell confesses her fault in the destruction to Queen Clarion, Vidia accidentally lets it slip that she put Tinkerbell in the situation to begin with. Tinker Bell takes initiative and invents things to help speed up production so spring can start on time. These things are successful and the fairies disembark for the Mainland. Fairy Mary, the leader of the Tinker fairies, discovers the music box Tinker Bell repaired and suggests that she go to the mainland to return it to the little girl who lost it. Tinker Bell gets her wish to go to the Mainland and returns the music box to a little girl who turns out to be Wendy Darling. ○ Mae Whitman – Tinker Bell, Kristin Chenoweth – Rosetta, Raven-Symone-Iridessa, Lucy Liu-Silvermist, America Ferrera-Fawn, Jesse McCartney – Terence. ○ 6 films in the series ■ Tinker Bell, Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure, Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue, Secret of the Wings, The Pirate Fairy, Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast ○ Film Trivia – IMDB ■ The first Disney film to feature Tinker Bell in a speaking role ■ Sold 668,000 copies in its first day of DVD release, about 22% more than expected. ■ As a marketing tie-in with Southwest Airlines, a Boeing 737 was decorated and named "Tinker Bell One". Flight attendants wore fairy wings and awarded prizes to passengers in a Tinker Bell trivia competition. ■ The movie was considered to be around 80% finished when Pixar merged with Disney. Pixar's John Lasseter demanded significant changes to the plot of the movie. The original version was set in a London where Never Land had disappeared and all children had lost their imagination. The movie would have ended with the fairies going to see a band called "The Pixies Chicks". ■ The song that plays on the ballerina music box that Tinkerbell delivers to young Wendy, is actually the song "You Can Fly" which is featured in Disney's Peter Pan. ○ What kind of fairy would you be in Pixie Hollow? ● Segment: News/Announcements “The Newsies Banner” ○ Mulan Trailer ○ Disney’s Golden Globe Nominations ■ Best Motion Picture Animated - Toy Story 4, Frozen II, The Lion King ■ Best Original Song – “Into the Unknown” Frozen II, “Spirit” The Lion King ● Segment: Miscellaneous “whosits and whatsits galore” ○ Disney Trivia ● Segment: Top 4 Ranking “Let’s get down to business” ○ Disney Film Series ○ 1. Eric is back from Disney World and, by listener request, is doing another Disney-themed episode. This time he's going off the beaten spooky track to tell you about a different kind of horror: the all too real horrors of drug addiction! This is the story of Disney's Peter Pan, Bobby Driscoll. Bobby Driscoll seemed to be living a charmed life. He was the first actor ever signed to a long term contract with Disney Studios and starred in memorable Disney films like Song of the South and Treasure Island. Of course, most famously, he provided the voice for Peter Pan in Disney's hit animated film. But as soon as Peter Pan was released, Bobby was dropped by Disney and his life and career took a dramatic turn for the worse. The next several years of his life would be full of drug abuse, failed marriages, and numerous arrests. But how would the story end? Would Bobby somehow turn his life around and live to see how beloved his films have become, or would he end up dying penniless and alone at a young age? A lot of information for tonight's episode was found on www.bobbydriscoll.net spookyas.com facebook.com/spookyas Music by Occultic Overtones

Ever wondered what Disney's Peter Pan and Wendy get up to when no one is looking? Well now, unfortunately, you don't have to. There will be (badly spelled) Course Language, (poorly explored) Adult Themes, (overly gratuitous) Sex Scenes, and (unnecessarily graphic) Violence. Consider this a trigger warning for everything that we could possibly give a trigger warning for. This is NOT a safe space. This podcast is not for the faint of heart. If you are not looking for the filthiest, most fatuous, feverishly feculent & flippant fan-fabricated fiction, then go no further! Go back to your comfortable life, watch an old-school Disney movie and forget you were ever here. Seriously, we don't judge. But what we will do is find, read, and discuss some of the best(worst) fan fiction that has ever found its way out of the depraved collective-mind of the internet's many, many dark corners. We will wade through these depths of humanity's depravity to bring you the most amusing fan-fiction finds and present them in small, easy to digest portions. Wish us luck. And please, don't listen while eating.

Disney's Peter Pan was a childhood favourite for all of us, but looking back, the horrors of this movie extend far beyond simple racism toward Native Americans. Join us in our second fan request as Vicky, Nolan and Jill shatter their childhood memories by discussing Pan the cult leader, Hook the sharp dresser and PTSD sufferer, Tinkerbell the abuse victim and psychopath (with bonus body dysmorphia!), Wendy the brainwashed innocent, and the rest of the cast of characters who help perpetuate the cycle of abuse and victimhood in the "wonderous" world of Neverland.
