This is a project that has been progressing through versions for the last year at Disney California Adventure. It appears the resort has landed on a system that will work for them. The new gates allow guests to scan their own tickets and take a photo if one is not on file, allowing entrance with a valid park ticket and reservation. The new system should cut down on the amount of cast needed at the entrance to the parks and could result in faster entry for experienced guests. – Disneyland Update – Tiger Unleashed, Gate Update & Legal Fallout A missing element has returned to the Jungle Cruise. The temple that the Bengal Tiger was housed in has been restored. The previous show scene was removed after the elements and time had taken it's toll. After almost a year and considerable work, the restored scene looks great. – Disneyland Update – Tiger Unleashed, Gate Update & Legal Fallout Another update at Disneyland has happened at Pixie Hollow. The lagoon area has been under construction for months, with no clear explanation on what was being done. Now that the walls have come down, we know that a new fountain and water features were being installed. Little themed elements have returned to the area, and the painted blue lagoon looks refreshing and clean. The meet and greet area is still under refurbishment. – Disneyland Update – Tiger Unleashed, Gate Update & Legal Fallout Cast members who were working at the resort when Measure L was passed will be getting some back pay. Kat aka MoonettaMagic returns to the podcast after over 6 years! We'd been looking for awhile to have a return episode and timing and scheduling made this work. Note, this episode was recorded prior to the strikes. We catch up a bit before Kat dives into one of their newest fandoms, Monster High. We talk about the original Monster High doll line, the latest releases, and the various series/movies out there on the networks and streaming services. Then, we go to Pixie Hollow with Tinkerbell and the Disney Fairies line. We talk about the books, the movies and shows, and what this world means to Kat. We delve into the realm of Fairies in general as well. This leads into our next topic, which is how Kat found themselves getting into photography. Not just taking the pictures, or being in the pictures, but helping others with her creative vision, finding places for shoots, and so much more. It's really a wonderful listen as Kat talks about her passion for photography. Then, we circle back to Cosplay, which is how I had found Kat those many years ago on Instagram. We talk about some of their former cosplays and what happened to them, some of their current work, and what they're looking forward to in the future. News: Last week was the last week for Toontown as we knew it. The entire land has now closed and will reopen sometime next spring with a complete renovation. The week leading up to the closure saw a lot of guests getting in their last visit before it turns into something quite new and refreshed. This is the first time that we are aware of that an entire land has been closed for a remodel as extensive as this since the New Fantasyland in the early 80's. – https://www.micechat.com/316816-disneyland-update-bibbidi-bobbidi-kaboom/ Encanto fans can now meet Mirabel in a new location at the resort. Mirabel's meet and greet has moved from the Paradise Garden area of Disney California Adventure, where she was located during the Festival of the Holidays, to Zocalo Park in Frontierland. The lines to meet her have been long, so be prepared to wait a bit if you want to get a picture with her. – https://www.micechat.com/316816-disneyland-update-bibbidi-bobbidi-kaboom/ One of our Weeklyteers will be very excited at this next piece of news! Tinker Bell has returned to Pixie Hollow, the area between Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and the hub. Tinker Bell has not been in her hollow since sometime in 2020 before the closure of the parks. This is a welcome addition to the meet and greet lineup and is sure to be popular. – https://www.micechat.com/316816-disneyland-update-bibbidi-bobbidi-kaboom/ Captain Marvel must be on a mission elsewhere as the jet for her meet and greet has been removed from the Hollywood Pictures Backlot. The area is now behind constructions walls. Who knows what this location will become in the future. – https://www.micechat.com/316816-disneyland-update-bibbidi-bobbidi-kaboom/ The new shop in Fantasyland that took over the old Heraldry shop has opened. Merlin's Marvelous Miscellany opened this past week. Most of the merchandise in this location is available elsewhere around the resort, except that some Peter Pan items that are usually just sold in the UK pavilion in Epcot. The details around this cozy shop are the real star here and are a must stop for any Sword in the Stone fans! – https://www.micechat.com/316633-abracadabra-merlins-marvelous-miscellany-opens-at-disneyland/ Disneyland continues to work on infrastructure for the nighttime entertainment in both parks. This week, a new canopy was installed over the top of the pits to the Fantasmic! fountains. What could this mean? MiceChat suggests that it could be new show elements being worked on or installed that will be part of the returning show. – https://www.micechat.com/316816-disneyland-update-bibbidi-bobbidi-kaboom/ With the changes coming to New Orleans Square soon, some other things are also disappearing. The two Ficus trees in the courtyard of Pirates of the Caribbean are being taken out due to disease. Hopefully new trees and their much needed shade are put back in some capacity for the queue. – https://www.micechat.com/316816-disneyland-update-bibbidi-bobbidi-kaboom/ We are already half way through March, which means that St. Patrick's Day is almost here! To celebrate, the Red Rose Taverne in Disneyland is offering “the Green Stuff,” which is a mint white chocolate mousse, chocolate make, and mint chocolate chips and chocolate cookie crumbs on a shortbread cookie. Corn Dog Castle in Disney California Adventure will offer their dogs coated in a green corn dog batter on March 17th only. Minnie Mouse is the star of the celebration with the floral Minnie design that is currently taking the place of the standard floral Mickey in front of the train station. Join the waffles as we discuss the first of six (?!!) Tinker Bell movies! Want to understand where Tinker Bell's name came from? Or where fairies come from in general? Discover this plus Bri and Vanessa's takes on her motivations in the movie. Bri also reveals her dislike of CGI, and spawns a conversation about fairy romance that is maybe a bit more than the film's G rating ever anticipated. We also discuss drama behind the scenes, some Pixie Hollow fan fiction, and if Tinker Bell is actually a metaphor for the industrial revolution. Hold on to your fairy dust and faith and trust, and fly with us to this magical land. This week, we're thinking Tink! You may have thought you knew all there was to know about Tinker Bell, but Mousetalgia dives in and considers the flight of everyone's favorite fairy by looking at some interesting angles. First, we talk to aerialist Gina Rock, who flew across the sky in Disneyland as the fireworks lit up the night. Gina talks about her background as a gymnast, and the experience of portraying the famous pixie in her nightly ritual in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. We also talk to Klay Hall, the director of Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure, on helping Disney relaunch Neverland for a new generation. Hall talks about developing Tink as a story editor for the 2008 Tinker Bell feature film, developing Pixie Hollow for Disneyland Park, and helping to guide the franchise as DisneyToon Studios launched the Disney Fairies, reimagining Tinker Bell for today's audiences while keeping her roots as one of Disney's most enduring and beloved characters. Plus - Kristen Carr checks in with a Mousetalgia FastPass... and more.

Website: www.1geek411.com ● “Feature Film” – Tinker Bell (Video 2008) ○ Born from a baby’s laugh and carried by the wind to Pixie Hollow in Neverland, Tinker Bell learns she is destined to be a Tinker fairy. She hears all about the amazing things the nature fairies get to do to bring spring to the mainland and is excited to go see it. Using her talent she creates devices she intends to take to the mainland to help her fellow fairies. Upon learning the upsetting news that tinker fairies do not go to the mainland, she asks her friends to teach her their nature talents, hoping she can go. None of her attempts are successful and she seeks Vidia (a fast-flying/wind fairy) for help and she purposefully sabotages Tinker Bell. The situation quickly turns into chaos, ruining the preparations the other fairies have made, preventing spring from coming on time. When Tinker Bell confesses her fault in the destruction to Queen Clarion, Vidia accidentally lets it slip that she put Tinkerbell in the situation to begin with. Tinker Bell takes initiative and invents things to help speed up production so spring can start on time. These things are successful and the fairies disembark for the Mainland. Fairy Mary, the leader of the Tinker fairies, discovers the music box Tinker Bell repaired and suggests that she go to the mainland to return it to the little girl who lost it. Tinker Bell gets her wish to go to the Mainland and returns the music box to a little girl who turns out to be Wendy Darling. ○ Mae Whitman – Tinker Bell, Kristin Chenoweth – Rosetta, Raven-Symone-Iridessa, Lucy Liu-Silvermist, America Ferrera-Fawn, Jesse McCartney – Terence. ○ 6 films in the series ■ Tinker Bell, Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure, Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue, Secret of the Wings, The Pirate Fairy, Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast ○ Film Trivia – IMDB ■ The first Disney film to feature Tinker Bell in a speaking role ■ Sold 668,000 copies in its first day of DVD release, about 22% more than expected. ■ As a marketing tie-in with Southwest Airlines, a Boeing 737 was decorated and named "Tinker Bell One". Flight attendants wore fairy wings and awarded prizes to passengers in a Tinker Bell trivia competition. ■ The movie was considered to be around 80% finished when Pixar merged with Disney. Pixar's John Lasseter demanded significant changes to the plot of the movie. The original version was set in a London where Never Land had disappeared and all children had lost their imagination. The movie would have ended with the fairies going to see a band called "The Pixies Chicks". ■ The song that plays on the ballerina music box that Tinkerbell delivers to young Wendy, is actually the song "You Can Fly" which is featured in Disney's Peter Pan. ○ What kind of fairy would you be in Pixie Hollow? ● Segment: News/Announcements “The Newsies Banner” ○ Mulan Trailer ○ Disney’s Golden Globe Nominations ■ Best Motion Picture Animated - Toy Story 4, Frozen II, The Lion King ■ Best Original Song – “Into the Unknown” Frozen II, “Spirit” The Lion King ● Segment: Miscellaneous “whosits and whatsits galore” ○ Disney Trivia ● Segment: Top 4 Ranking “Let’s get down to business” ○ Disney Film Series ○ 1.
