JOHN 6 28 then they said to Him, “what shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” 29 Jesus answered and said to them, “this is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”God wants us to know Him to have a close intimate relationship with Him, to be totally and completely dependent upon himWhat God desires is completely opposite of how we're taught about life and living. We're taught to be self reliant, independent, self sufficient, if i want something done right do it myself. We have the mistaken idea of trying to find ourselves, without God when in fact the only way, we can truly know ourselves is through, first knowing God When we know God, We Believe God, then and only then will we have Faith in GodSupport the showGrowing our inner man as we connect with God's Word

WHAT MADE THE DIFFERENCE FOR DAVID? In one of the greatest stories of the Bible, a shepherd named David runs an errand for his family and finds himself standing where his entire nation feared to be: in front of a murderous enemy solider. What happened next charted the course for the life of both David and al of Israel. This true story was written down to teach us all something vital about our own life and future.
Jesus claimed to be God because He is God. He calls us to believe His words and His works. If Jesus is God, then we can give and receive forgiveness. We can have real hope for redemption, restoration, and reconciliation in our lives. We can be a part of God's mighty work in the world today.

This week we are wrapping up our series in the book of 1 John, looking at our last chapter, chapter 5. In this chapter, we will see what it means to be born of God, protecting our relationship with God, and all the things in between. We will be separating this chapter into many different groups of verses to help us understand it better! As we go through this chapter, I encourage you to reflect and meditate on what God has taught you or is trying to teach you as we end this series. So many know the word "God," know phrases like the "work of God," but they don't know Him, nor what He really does. No wonder their faith is blind. They're not serious about this because it's unfamiliar and strange. So they are far short of God's demands. If you don't know God and His work, can you be fit for His use? Can you fulfill the desire of God? Believing that God exists is not enough. That's too simple, it's too religious. It's not the same as real belief in Him. True faith in God means you experience His works and His words on the faith that He's sovereign over everything. Then you can free yourself from corrupt disposition and fulfill God's desires in your life and come to know Him. That's the way to true belief in God. That's the way to true belief in Him. II So many think of believing as something simple and shallow. Such belief is meaningless. How can God approve? They're on the wrong path. Those who believe in letters, in hollow teachings still don't know that their faith is unreal and won't be approved by God. Still they pray for peace and grace. Stop and think if faith is that easy. Is it just to ask for peace and grace? Can you fulfill the desire of His, when you still resist Him, not knowing Him? Believing that God exists is not enough. That's too simple, it's too religious. It's not the same as real belief in Him. True faith in God means you experience His works and His words on the faith that He's sovereign over everything. Then you can free yourself from corrupt disposition and fulfill God's desires in your life and come to know Him. That's the way to true belief in God. That's the way to true belief in God. That's the way to true belief in Him. from Preface to The Word Appears in the Flesh

Belief in God or a Higher Power I have always been amazed at how some people allow themselves to be offended by others belief. The whole Christmas issue floors me. I will refer […] The post Belief In God appeared first on Tony Rhoton | Life Mentor | Motivational Coach | Utah Life Coach | Self-Improvement.
Strengthening ourselves in God is all about guarding our hearts and stewarding them well. The way to tell what is in your heart is by what flows out – Jesus said that good things come out of the good stored up in our hearts (Luke 6:43-45). God has provided all we need for life and godliness, but we have to play an active part too: defining ourselves by the word of God takes training...
