This message invites the church to live from union with Christ, not from the limits of the “first Adam.” It calls believers to see themselves as Spirit-born, life-giving people who can partner with God to release healing, freedom, and the life of heaven into others.
What does it actually mean to be “born again”? In this message from 1 John, we explore one of the most important truths of the Christian life: We are children of God. But what does that really mean? How do Christians grow? Why do believers still struggle with sin? And what does it look like to become more like Jesus over time? This sermon explores: • What it means to abide in Christ • Why spiritual growth happens over a lifetime • How John understands sin and transformation • Jesus' conversation with Nicodemus in John 3 • The relationship between belief, love, and obedience • The “family mark” of God's people If you've ever wrestled with doubt, failure, or questions about spiritual growth, this message offers both challenge and hope.
1 John 5 | Born of God | Benji Horning
Sin doesn't fit you anymore. In this passage, John uses some of his sharpest language in the whole letter to remind believers that we have been born of God, that his seed abides in us, and that the Son of God appeared to destroy the very works we once called home. So if you've made peace with sin in any corner of your life, this sermon is a mirror — and a call back to who you really are.

What do you do when the world around you feels messy, broken, and out of control? In this week's message, guest speaker David White walks us through one of Jesus's most vivid parables — the Parable of the Weeds and the Wheat from Matthew 13 — and unpacks why the kingdom of heaven doesn't always look the way we expect it to.Drawing from Jesus's own explanation of the parable, David explores the tension between good and evil growing side by side in the world, and why God's patience in the face of that tension is not permission — it's mercy. Along the way, he challenges the very human impulse to fix everything around us, and redirects our attention to the one thing we actually can control: what's growing in us.From the surprising agricultural detail that made Jesus's parable land for his original audience, to what the workers in the story reveal about our deep need for control, David unpacks what it looks like to trust the Farmer when the field feels overwhelming. He closes with a practical challenge around three things we actually can control — who we follow, what we feed on, and what we focus on — and invites listeners to reorient toward the kingdom rather than the weeds.Big Idea: You can't always control what's growing around you, but you can control what's growing in you.Watch all our sermons on our youtube channel "Flipside Christian Church"Join us in person 8:00am, 9:30am & 11:00am every Sunday morning.37193 Ave 12 #3h, Madera, CA 93636For more visit us at flipside.churchFor more podcasts visit flipsidepodcasts.transistor.fm
This isn't just a gospel of forgiveness; it's a gospel of transformation. God didn't stop at forgiving you. He gave you a new heart and a new spirit and wrote His law inside you. You're a partaker of divine nature; you are born of God. This teaching cuts to the heart of identity. There's a radical difference between being covered and being cleansed: between forensic declaration and ontological transformation. When you stop living from your experience and start reckoning yourself based on God's Word, everything shifts. This isn't just a teaching; it is ontological truth.Don't miss this transformative word from Prophet Hari Rao; your identity determines your destiny.
To be born of God! How can we ignore the power and majesty of the presence of God in us? Jesus in us, God's Word that lives and breathes life within and through us. Today we continue our study verse by verse through the book of 1 John. The Apostle has shared quite a bit about the love of God and the way in which the love of God is manifested in the people of God. Today's Scripture connects the dots between the new birth in Christ, the love of God, and obedience to the commandments of God. Scripture text is 1 John 5:1-5.

When you are born of God, you don't just believe differently—you live differently. This powerful continuation will challenge you to embrace your spiritual DNA, walk in bold obedience, and reflect the life of Christ in every area.

Spiritual transformation begins with a new birth. In John 3:6, Jesus teaches that what is born of the flesh is flesh, but what is born of the Spirit is spirit. In Born of God, Pastor Brandon Hill unpacks what it truly means to live a Spirit-led life—one shaped not by human effort, but by God's power at work within us. This powerful message will challenge you to move beyond surface-level faith, embrace your new identity in Christ, and walk boldly in the life God has given you through His Spirit.

The post Children Born of God appeared first on Grace Fellowship Church.
In this Advent episode of Inside Grace, Pastor Alan Wright and Pastor Chris Lawson explore the longing at the center of every human heart. Through John 1:12 and even a few classic Christmas movies, they reveal why true belonging comes from being born of God and welcomed into His family. More at pastoralan.org
Anyone who receives Christ becomes a child of God – not a religious person, not a moral standard bearer, not even someone simply "saved" – but a child of God Himself. That's who you are. Join us for church tomorrow as we celebrate the second week of Advent.

November 12 2025 Wednesday Your Words Matter / Week 41 Born Of God #findoutwhoyouare My Vision My vision is to teach the world Who They Are In Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior! To Teach them what the Bible says about them and who they have been made to be in the promises of God's Word. This changed my life years ago and completely transformed me from a person full of doubt, fear and unbelief to a strong confident Christian that knows I can do anything through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. And I'm determined to teach the world what God has taught and commissioned me to teach and that is His Word. That commission takes me to jails and detention centers weekly along with other open doors at many churches and ministries that are wanting to teach these important truths to the world. My podcast goes out 6 days a week to help the people I am ministering to grow in the truths that God has taught me for many years now. This podcast is free to all that want to listen and grow strong in who God has made them to be in Christ Jesus their Lord and Savior. My Prayers For The World Ephesians 1:15-23 NLT 'Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God's people everywhere, I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.' Ephesians 3:14-21 NLT 'When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.' His letter to the Galations is a vigorous attack against the gospel of works and a defense of the gospel of faith. Paul begins by setting forth his credentials as an apostle with a message from God: blessing comes from God on the basis of faith, not law. The law declares men guilty and imprisons them; faith sets men free to enjoy liberty in Christ. But liberty is not license. Some believe in Jesus and some do not. Why do people not believe...even reject, while others believe? Why do some reject for a time (sometimes a long time) and then believe? What happens, what makes the difference?
