Even demons immediately recognized Jesus as the Son of God, while His disciples were still figuring it out. What about you? Have you truly crowned Jesus as King over your finances, relationships, and daily decisions? Or are you still treating Him like a genie who grants wishes? Discover the life-changing power of recognizing Jesus' authority in every area of your life.

If in the birth of Jesus we see God has become man, then in the transfiguration we see this man, Jesus is fully God.
John 6:30-31 So they said to Him, “What then do You do for a sign, so that we may see, and believe You? What work do You perform? Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.'” What a shameful testimony of unbelief we have in these verses! They had just experienced one of the most incredible signs of Jesus' ministry. He multiplied 5 loaves of bread and two fish to feed a crowd of probably over 15,000. What more proof did they need to believe Jesus was sent from God? They brought up the comparison of Moses, who gave their fathers manna to eat for forty years, to which Jesus will respond in the following verses. Today, let's ask ourselves if there is this kind of unbelief present in our own hearts. How many times has God shown Himself to be faithful to us in our lives? Countless. Haven't we been tested many times, and God has brought us through every time? Consider when God has given us grace to love people that have been difficult or even hostile. Hasn't God proved Himself over and over, enough so that we should never need another sign before we trust Him with our lives? Shouldn't we believe everything Jesus says as the words of God? That was the question facing this crowd. Do we have good reason to believe what Jesus says about Himself and about the work of God? The answer for them was, “No.” What about us? Although in the previous paragraph I asked about God's faithfulness to us in our lives, the fact is, we have the word of God recorded in our Bibles. That should be enough for us to believe Jesus is the Son of God and the giver of eternal life. Truly, truly, that's why John wrote his gospel. He recorded sign after sign as an eyewitness and recorded Jesus' words so that we might not be doubtful or unbelieving. We have the foundation of faith of Jesus, given to us from God, when He gave us eternal life in Christ. The faith of Jesus has become our faith! His life is our life! We have His life so that we might trust Him with everything in our lives. Regardless of the circumstances or the difficulty of relationships, we look to Jesus, revealed as the Son of God in the word of God. His love is the source of our love, which means we are living to love with Jesus for the glory of God. Today, may we be grateful for the undeniable proof we have that Jesus lives in us. We have the Holy Spirit doing the work of God in and through our lives. To God be the glory. Great things He has done. I invite you to become a partner in our ministry. Jesus Is God God: My Pronouns Are I / Us June 22, 2025 Essential Church
The Bible message: "Jesus is God", is profound, revolutionary, and glorious. In this message, we will explore this amazing revelation.
In this episode of Uncommon Sense, we're talking about Tucker Carlson's highly discussed interview with Senator Ted Cruz. I'll be sharing my honest thoughts on how it went, why I think Tucker came out ahead, and what this kind of bold, unscripted, and unapologetically frank conversation means for the future of political discourse (spoiler: I'm all for it). We'll go into why I support constructive confrontation—yes, even when it gets "mean" and uncomfortable. The Founding Fathers didn't tiptoe around the truth, so why should we? They debated passionately because the stakes were high. The polite punditry act is wearing thin, and people are tired of political puppets mouthing safe lines. They're craving what we saw here: real conviction, real disagreement, and real questions. We'll cover why I believe Tucker won this exchange: from his biblical literacy to his serious concerns about foreign lobbying groups like AIPAC having a hand in U.S. policy. Ted got visibly nervous when pressed about Scripture, about Israel, and about U.S. involvement in a possible war with Iran. And the question still lingers: Why are we only now suddenly being pushed to act, when Trump was reportedly targeted by Iran two years ago? Most importantly, we'll reflect on Tucker's question—a theological one with deep political ramifications: Who is the real Israel according to God? Is it the modern state that does not believe Jesus is Lord and historically has required a denial of Christ for Jewish returnees? Or is it the true church—those who belong to Christ?I'll share my belief unapologetically: Israel is the body of believers in Jesus Christ. Not those who reject Him. Not those who crucified Him. That's a hard truth, but a necessary one in these last days when clarity very much matters.Faith shouldn't be a popularity contest.--https://www.thebrandsunday.com/products/the-bible-study-physical?srsltid=AfmBOorwAVEYslTlOGA-36_bHHjruNDOebEKWQ6M2115NZZwL8WG_ali
You ever try to talk politics without starting a fight? Yeah, me too. This week on the Salty Saints Podcast, Randy and I take a deep dive into one of the most off-limits dinner table topics—politics. But here's the twist: we’re not here to campaign for a side. We’re here to ask a much bigger question—what does it look like to let Jesus shape your political views instead of the other way around? We explore how compartmentalizing our faith is hurting our witness, why Jesus doesn’t play for either team, and what it actually means to say “Christ is King” in a world of kings, presidents, and power grabs. We’ll get into Scripture, tell a few stories (some funny, some sobering), and maybe—just maybe—challenge you to open up that locked “politics room” in your heart and invite Jesus in. Warning: This episode may cause you to rethink your bumper stickers. Discover more Christian podcasts at lifeaudio.com and inquire about advertising opportunities at lifeaudio.com/contact-us.

John 5:18 For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God. The Jews understood exactly what Jesus was saying. His Father is God, and He is equal with God. But they didn't believe it. It angered them and fueled their murderous hearts. It was bad enough that He broke the Sabbath, but it was blasphemous to make Himself equal with God. Jesus knew who He is. He is God. Jesus is the only human being of which this is true in the history of the world. He is like no other. The writer of Hebrews described Jesus as “the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature.” However, we are not to think that Jesus is the Father. He is God's only-begotten, or unique, son, as John recorded in John 3:16. Jesus said in Matthew 11:27, “All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.” This shows clearly that the Father and Son are both God, and yet they are separate beings, working together. For our encouragement today, let's connect some dots, so to speak. Jesus is God, and God is love. Because we have all of God dwelling in us, we have the fullness of God from which His love flows. Living to love with Jesus is how I describe those who have the God of love dwelling inside them. Through the new birth by the Holy Spirit, the presence of Jesus Christ comes to abide in those who love Jesus. Because they love Jesus, the Father also abides in them. Jesus promised this in His last words to His disciples before going to His Father by way of the cross. John 14:23. “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.” Why do the Father, Son, and Spirit live within us? To glorify God by revealing His presence and power as we live to love with Him. We reveal that Jesus lives and that He is both Lord and Christ. What a privilege it is to be His ambassadors of love, His representatives on the earth. May God fill us with His grace today as we walk with Him, abiding in Him, and He in us. I invite you to become a partner in our ministry. Would you pray about becoming a regular supporter of Elijah Ministries and the Live to Love with Jesus ministry? I hope you will receive the joy and benefit of "giving it forward," so others may receive encouragement to turn their hearts to God and to live to love with Jesus. Gen. 1:1–5 Mic. 5:1–4 John 1:1–13 Heb. 1:1–14 There's hardly a more important question than, Who is Jesus Christ? There are a lot of answers that have been tried out over the centuries. Our confession answers that question like this: “So then, [Christ] is the true eternal God, the Almighty, whom we invoke, worship, and serve.” In this message, we learn that Scripture describes Jesus as the Creator, and that this means our prayers and praise must treat Him as true God.
Isaiah 42:8 I am YHVH (Yahweh, Yehovah), that ismy name; my glory (cavod, כָבוֹד) I give to no other, nor my praise to graven images. Deityof Christ theologians claim that since Jesus has (God's) glory, or was given glory by God, he must be God, because God doesn't give His glory to anyone else. That claim is a philosophical, rationalistic kind of claim that no one in the Bible makes. It's kind of an end around claim that runs into dead ends. For instance, if Jesus is God, why did God have to give him glory? Can God lose his glory and than someone else who is God give it back to him. This kind of claim really reveals a certain kind of biblical ignorance, or a willing ignorance. It's the kind of claim that reveals a desperate search for some evidence to make Christ into God. It's contrived “evidence”. To understand what Isaiah 42:8 and 48:11 are really saying, all we have to do is look a bit at the context of the statements. There are two parts to that context that shows that deity of Christ claims about these passages completely miss the point. The statement in Isaiah 42:8 “I give my glory to no other” are in the context of Israel's idolatry.1. God DOES NOT give His glory AS GOD to anyoneelse. Specifically, God does not share His glory with other gods or idols. God will not allow Israel to believe that someone or something else is their god.God warned: “I the LORD your God am a jealous God” (Exo 20:5).2. God DOES give glory to others the nation of Israel, notto show that these others are God, but to show that the God who gives the glory is their God, the only God. Deity of Christ interpreters totally miss the meaning of these passages in the Book of Isaiah.Note to listeners: After I publishing the podcast, I see that the quote, translation and interpretation of Romans 5:2 is not as clear-cut as the translation I quoted (RSV). The Greek is more ambiguous. The Greek does not have the word "sharing". The Greek is more literally "we boast(glory) in(with) hope of the glory of God". Because of the ambiguity, the RSV supplied "sharing". But it should be italicized that "sharing" is not in the text. I see another translation (CJB) supplies "experiencing the glory of God". Most translations, which is probably better, just render "we rejoice in the glory of God".I feel I over-stated the case after seeing that word "sharing" is not in the Greek. I would edit that section, but YouTube won't allow editing since it apparently has already made the video available in other languages (?). So, I'd just encourage people to think about what Paul meant by writing “we rejoice with hope of the glory of God”.The other famous verse in Romans about us having something to do with God's glory is Rom. 3:23, "we all fall short of the glory of God". This verse suggests some human participation or expectation of believers in/with God's glory. Romans 2:7 says we "seek for glory and honor and immortality". 2 Cor. 4:6 describes the "knowledge of God's glory".Unfortunately, most translations are inconsistent (probably with theological bias) on Psalm 84:11. Instead of translating "the LORD (YHVH) God gives grace and glory", English translations make it "favor and honor". But the second word is the same word cavod כָבוֹד as Isaiah 42:6.Another point I would make about “giving glory”: In the Bible to give glory is often an idiom for giving recognition where recognition is due. This is why God won't give glory to idols in His work of creation or with Israel.
Questions about why Jesus didn't know the day of his return if he truly is God, and why it's important for Jesus to be both fully God and fully man. If Jesus is God, then why didn't he know the day of his return, and if the answer is that he limited himself, wasn't it a lie to say that he didn't know? Why is it important for Jesus Christ to be both fully God and fully man?

In this episode we speak with Bible scholar Dan McClellan about one of Christianity's most foundational claims: the divinity of Jesus. Drawing from his deep engagement with biblical scholarship, Dan invites us to consider whether the Bible actually presents Jesus as God in the way later doctrine insists. He explores how early Christian texts reflect diverse and competing understandings of Jesus's nature, and how ideas about divinity were shaped as much by evolving theology and politics as by the biblical text itself. Send us a textJesus has power over this world. He was able to do things that only God can do. Things are written down for us to believe. However, His true gift to us is the power for us to grow beyond what we are able. With his help, we are able to move to better ourselves as we grow in righteousness. Devoting your life to Jesus is required for salvation. He has said, “unless you believe that I AM He, you will die in your sins.” The entire reason He came to this earth and died for us, it was to bring peace between our selfish choices, which corrupt us, and God. Taking up your cross and following him, is to change your behavior and behave more selflessly, sharing, caring for everyone else, and renewing your mind in the ways of Godliness. =====Searching for answers to life's questions? Welcome to Day 2611 of Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom – Theology Thursday – “Jesus Is God: Jude and Peter Tell Me So.” - I Dare You Not To Bore Me With The Bible. Wisdom-Trek Podcast Script - Day 2611 Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps! I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2611 of our Trek. The Purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Today is the 52nd lesson in our segment, Theology Thursday. Utilizing excerpts from a book titled: I Dare You Not To Bore Me With The Bible written by Hebrew Bible scholar and professor the late Dr. Michael S Heiser, we will invest a couple of years going through the entire Bible, exploring short Biblical lessons that you may not have received in Bible classes or Church. The Bible is a wonderful book. Its pages reveal the epic story of God's redemption of humankind and the long, bitter conflict against evil. Yet it's also a book that seems strange to us. While God's Word was written for us, it wasn't written to us. Today's lesson is: “Jesus Is God: Jude and Peter Tell Me So.” The epistles of Peter and Jude are often overlooked in preaching and Bible study. Not only are they nestled among the more popular letters of Paul and the book of Revelation, but portions of these epistles sound odd to our modern sensibilities. That wasn't the case in the first century. We can better grasp the meaning of these letters if we understand what they have in common with influential ancient Jewish and Christian writings that were circulating at the time. One of those literary works is known to us today as 1 Enoch, a book Peter and Jude draw upon in their letters. Jews and Christians of antiquity considered books such as 1 Enoch important resources for understanding biblical books and their theology. Peter and Jude were no exception. For example, Jude 14-15 draws directly from 1 Enoch. 1 Enoch 1:9 Behold, he comes with the myriads of his holy ones, to execute judgment on all, and to destroy all the wicked, and to convict all flesh for all the wicked deeds that they have done, and the proud and hard words that wicked sinners spoke against him. Jude 14-15 It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones, to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” All of the ideas found in 1 Enoch 1:9 can be found in three Old Testament passages (Jer 25:30-31; Isa 66:15-16; Zech 14:5). Rather than quote all three, Jude quotes the verse in 1 Enoch that combines them. But the real point of interest isn't Jude's succinctness; it's his interpretation of 1 Enoch, as well as the Old Testament. In 1 Enoch 1:9 it is the “Great Holy One” (God) who is “coming with myriads of holy ones” from Sinai (1 Enoch 1:4) and who has promised to come to earth in the day of the Lord for final judgment. For Jude (as well as Mark and Paul; compare Mark 8:38; 1 Thess 3:13) this event is transformed into the return of Jesus Christ (Jude 17-18). By naming...
