Hebrews 3:1 “Jesus is the high priest of our confession.”It is through our confession that we demonstrate if we are testing God or Trusting God. Confess or confession means to say the same as and for us as believers in the bible, confession means that we say the same with our mouths as God has already said in His word. We make the words of our mouth agree with the Word of God and in that way we line ourselves up to receive the full authority that Jesus has given us.Because Jesus is the high priest of our confession so if you have no confession, Jesus cannot act as our high priest because He's only our high priest in respect of what we confess, first and foremost, confessing Him as Lord. In other words, whenever we confess with our mouths what the bible says about us as believers, we have Jesus as our high priest in heaven releasing His authority and blessing upon us. But if we remain silent, and have no confession we're losing out on our access to His ministry as high priest. Even moreso, if we make the wrong confession we do even worse, because it is then we invite negative forces to surround us and move upon us, and through the wrong confession we give the enemy a foothold into our livesWe pray you are blessed by this week's messageSupport the showGrowing our inner man as we connect with God's Word

ACTS 4:13 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. We were created to be in the presence of God, that's where we shine like diamonds, that's where our brilliance, creativity and genius are on full display, in His presence. Outside of the presence of God, we're groping in darkness, hopelessly lostThe presence of God is where we experience our full potential, our hidden strengths talents and abilities and thats where God's power becomes manifest through His Holy Spirit. Luke 11:1 Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”As disciples and followers of Jesus, we haven't been called to a religion , we've been called to a relationship and if we are serious about pursuing this relationship, just like any good relationship, the most fundamental thing we have to do is cultivate it through conversation, speaking, listening, sharing our hearts and learning the heart of the other person and prayer is the way we communicate with God.In any serious relationship, we want to be in the presence of the other person as much we can and as often as possible, so much so, we look forward to it with excitement and joyful anticipation, even if sometimes, it's just for a few moments, we cherish those few momentsThank you for joining us for this message as Pastor Art teaches on Prayer and the Presence of GodSupport the showGrowing our inner man as we connect with God's Word

Philippians 4:12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. Paul says here he's choosing life by committing his life to the Lord completely. He's saying here, I have learned the secret to contentment in God. Paul's roots ran so deep into Christ, that in every area of life, he could remain content. Romans 13:14 Put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the fleshThe spiritual garment no Christian should ever be without is the Lord Jesus Christ. Another way to state what Paul said in Romans 13:14 put it is "clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ" so what does that mean?Jesus is the Word, therefore putting on Christ means letting the Word be our armor, embracing Him over and over, and daily trusting Jesus, The Living Word in faith, thankfulness, and obedience. In standing against the forces of darkness, putting on Jesus means He is our Armor which means, The Word is our armor. Matthew 8:8 The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. There are many different sermons and many different directions a pastor can preach from this passage. For instance, we could talk about the fact that Jesus asked the centurion if he could go to his house or the fact that the centurion said he didn't deserve for Jesus to come to his house. We could talk about the fact that he was confident that Jesus was able to heal his servant and the fact that the centurion based his faith on recognizing Jesus had supernatural authority over time, space, sickness and disease. All of these aspects, grace, humility, reverence for the authority of Jesus and His supernatural power are the very reasons we as believers have every reason to never be in doubt or unbelief and always be ready to "Just Say The Word!" Jesus knows this and through the Beatitudes given to us in Matthew 5 The Sermon On the Mount, He's encouraging his followers, to be people of God, looking forward to the blessings God has promised. The Beatitudes is not a list of what to do but rather a list of how to be. They describe the ideal disciple and his rewards, both present and future. Geometry, algebra, trigonometry and calculus are among the most very advanced forms of mathematics. But have you ever noticed how throughout the bible God solves problems by supernaturally employing the basic mathematical processes of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division?Mathematics is directly related to the topic of purpose, specifically God's purpose because God does not do anything without purpose and understanding God's purpose leads us to the idea of divine providence. Providence is demonstrated in the lives of Abraham, Gideon and so many stories and it all points to the fact that God will see it to it that whatever has to be done will be done Support the showGrowing our inner man as we connect with God's Word

Hebrews 41 Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. 2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. 3 For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: “So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest,' ” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; 5 and again in this place: “They shall not enter My rest.” 6 Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, 7 again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.”God rested on the 7th Day but do you understand that He has given us the Promise of a Greater Rest in Christ Jesus? Isaiah 11:1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. 2 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. 3 His delight is in the fear of the Lord,Very often in the Christian life we attach too much importance to our emotions. We let our emotions dictate to us but the important things in the Christian life come as a result of decision, not of emotions. Those decisions spring from our will. If we are too conscious of our emotions and their pressures, we don't make the right decisions with our will. Our decisions will be blurred and fuzzy. It takes a clear, sharp, firm decision of the will to cultivate the fear of the Lord. And it all begins with a decision. Zechariah 9:9 See, your King comes to you, righteous and victorious, humble and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. Jesus entered the city according to a specific time the Father had set. ( In the fulness of times) The same can be said for his entrance and arrival in our lives. Jesus comes to us at just the right time, often when we're least expected, in a way we would have never anticipated. But the good news is God has also pre-arranged our encounter with him. He entered into Jerusalem humbly, not with all the usual fanfare that accompanies kings and great leaders but as a humble servant, a king riding a donkey. MARK 4:35 On that day, when evening came, He said to them, "Let us go over to the other side." On the other side of sorrow there is joy, on the other side of defeat is victory, on the other side of sin there is salvation. What we each have to understand is that if Jesus is suggesting to crossover, Satan is planning to do whatever he can to stop us from fulfilling what God has ordained for our lives because on the other side, there is someone who will benefit from our journey, someone that needs to hear our testimony.Let's go into the message and hear what God has to say to us about crossing over to the other side Support the showGrowing our inner man as we connect with God's Word

1 CORINTHIANS 153 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. Many Believers have been indoctrinated to call this special day, Easter Sunday and if that is the custom of some, that's fine, however, Pastor Art believes its a distraction from what is the most important event in human history, The Resurrection of Jesus The Christ! The Gospel centers on three great historical facts that relate to Jesus Christ and without Jesus, there is no gospel. The gospel is not a set of human opinions, it's not a system of theology, or a philosophy; it is a set of historical facts, In fact there are three key central facts that make up the gospel. First of all, Christ died. Secondly, He was buried and Third, He rose again on the third day. James 1: 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, a whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance..Throughout the bible in both the old and new testaments, the words translated as “test” mean “to prove by trial.” Therefore, when God tests His children, His purpose is to prove that our faith is real. The testing of our faith are tests we take to discover if we really believe what we say we believe because, the fact of the matter is, we don't know what we really believe until we're put in a position where we're being tested to see if we will step out in faith in what we say we believe. 1 Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. The Bible begins with "In the beginning God!" Let's keep God at the beginning where He belongs, in the beginning of everything concerning our lives. So lets keep things in their proper order because God is the beginning & the ending, the first and the last. Everything begins with God and everything ends with GodGod is love, so this means – love should be at the beginning of everything we say or do, love should be the goal of everything we say or do, Love should be our motive, the reason we do everything we do, and love should be the ultimate reason, the outcome, the fruit that grows from everything we do Support the showGrowing our inner man as we connect with God's Word

Matthew 11 28 "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls Both rest and restoration are gifts from God. In Jesus we can find rest, a rest which can only be received by trusting in his grace, his faithfulness, and his presence rather than personal effort. Rest is the first requirement that enables restoration; in other words you must sit down in "heavenly rest" to receive the power of divine restoration. The purpose of rest is to renew our energy, vitality, joy, and spiritual strength, and transform weariness into wholeness.Rest and restoration depend on the condition of our heart, our internal state of being and focus is on the inner person, providing relief from stress, anxiety, and the burdens of life.Support the showGrowing our inner man as we connect with God's Word

Romans 4:20 yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God,The word "depend", is the key principle found in both faith and faithfulnessThat's because faith is learning to depend on God in every situation and circumstance and faithfulness is being dependable – the kind of person others depend on and the kind of person God uses.Faithfulness is a word that focuses inside the self, because faithfulness has to do with how reliable or trustworthy i am. Zechariah 4:6 ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the LORD of hosts. God's number one concern is that we grow in the knowledge of Him, developing through growth as His children, learning to live in His righteousness and Kingdom authority. He is raising us as His family and intends to accomplish this by His Spirit, not by power and might but only by His Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the only person who can accomplish the purposes of God in our lives. He is the only means by which we can fight and win the spiritual fight against the forces of darknessTalent, strength, force, natural ability, money, education, social influence cannot accomplish in us what God wants to accomplish. The Holy Spirit alone, is the only person capable of transforming our hearts and making us into the people God has purposed us to be. Romans 4: 17As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not. 18 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” 19 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah's womb was also dead. 20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21 being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. Whether or no you've been on a big boat, you know a little about how they work. You know they throw an anchor out when they want the boat to hang out there a while. Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to youThis is a Kingdom key, Jesus is saying our #1 priority should be pursuing, studying, exploring, understanding, learning and considering all there is to know about the Kingdom and the Righteousness of GodMany pastors teach this verse to mean take care of God's business first then he'll take care of you. In my opinion that cheapens the meaning of the verse and thereby cheapens the gospel message Jesus is conveying. What Jesus was actually saying is... I've come to restore the thing you need more than anything else, that which Adam lost, The Kingdom and Righteousness! Therefore make that your#1 priority and all the other things will be added unto you. He was saying, what you should be seeking is The Kingdom and God's righteousness, not going about trying to establish your own little kingdoms and your own righteousness. 2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. What a blessing it is to worship a God who can calm the wind and the waves by speaking to them. Too often, many of us are tossed about on the wind and waves of our emotions. But the good news is, if Jesus can speak to the wind and the waves he can also speak to our emotions. One of the most serious challenges of discipleship, especially in trying times like these we're living in, is learning how to maintain control over our emotions. Emotions are feelings caused by either pleasure or pain that are designed to move you in a direction. 2 Chronicles 7:14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. The most important aspect of fasting is the humbling oneself, afflicting our soul, and gaining a deeper revelation of our need and dependence upon God. God begins this verse with "IF" and by the use of the word "If" God is implying a conditional promise, and the very first condition He stipulates for His people is humility. Sincere and heartfelt prayer cannot take place without humility, neither can repentance. No one lacking true humility will set the heart upon desiring a a close and intimate relationship with God, seeking His face because the opposite of humility is pride and God resists the proud. Thanks for joining us today as we delve more into the essence and the importance of prayer and fasting Support the showGrowing our inner man as we connect with God's Word

Don't get me wrong, it's not because he's powerless to fix it My people must pray!
