The left tried to steal the 2016 election at the last minute with the "Hamilton Electors," and failed. In 2020, using Zuckerboxes, mass mail-in ballots, and Twitter censorship, the steal succeeded. The only guarantee in 2024 is that they will try again — but what will their strategy be? Charlie looks past the horse race news of the moment to try and determine what the left is wargaming in their secret strategy meetings. Then, Rep. Jim Jordan joins to discuss the latest findings of his House weaponization subcommittee.Support the show: http://www.charliekirk.com/supportSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
This week on Curmudgeon's Corner, something different. The whole episode is an interview with Bret Chiafalo. He is one of the co-founders of Hamilton Electors, a group of electors that mounted an effort to deny Donald Trump his electoral college victory in 2016. That effort failed, but the resulting court battles continue. Sam and Bret discuss how the efforts in 2016 played out, and the current state of the legal cases winding their way through the courts. Seattle Times business columnist Jon Talton talks with politics reporters Jim Brunner and Dan Beekman about how Donald Trump's tough stance on trade with China could backfire on Washington state. Then assistant digital editor Gina Cole and Dan quiz Jim on the last gasp of the local "Hamilton electors" and why Washington led the nation in "faithless" Electoral College votes.
Jim and Dan talk with a leader of the longshot "Hamilton Electors" movement. Bret Chiafalo, a Democratic elector from Washington state, hopes to unite with Republican electors to deny Donald Trump the White House when the Electoral College votes. Then capitol bureau reporter Joseph O'Sullivan hopes on the phone to break down Gov. Jay Inslee's budget request that includes more than $4 billion in higher taxes pay for public schools, mental health system fixes and more. Senate Republicans call that plan dead-on-arrival. Plus: How Kshama Sawant won the week, while U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers lost.
This week on the big show, Fingers and Tracy once again address the ridiculousness of the left's obsession with the Russians, Kanye's visit to Trump Tower, Camille Paglia taking a swipe at Madonna, the Hamilton Electors, and David Brock's appearance on Politico's podcast. Pat Caddell returns to the show for his first post-election interview. He has plenty to say about what went wrong for the Democrats and where he sees them going in the future. Hint: nowhere good. And Ashe Schow is back to tell us all about partying it up at the Swedish Embassy and to explain just what the heck is Title IX?
This week, we bring you a cabinet update, the faithless electors, and perhaps our slickest slacktion yet... a service that spoon feeds you slacktion on the daily. Plus our Australian brother from down under stops by to troll us.

The voters have spoken, but the Electoral College hasn't yet. Electors choose the next president on Monday and some of them have a plan to stop Donald Trump. However, a court in Colorado just dealt their movement a blow. Then, what a Colorado family learned when they quit the city and bought a farm near Greeley. The property came with water, but it didn't mean they could always use it.
On Monday, the Supreme Court heard arguments in McCrory v. Harris and Bethune-Hill v. Virginia Board of Elections, two challenges to Republican gerrymandering efforts that resulted in the creation of majority-minority voting districts. At issue is whether lawmakers in Virginia and North Carolina were motivated primarily by racial considerations or only secondarily so. Marc Elias, the lawyer who represented the challengers in both cases, joins us to explain why the distinction is so critical. We also consider the revolt that’s underway in the Electoral College. A small group of electors calling themselves the Hamilton Electors are seeking to be unbound from state requirements that they vote as their state voted. Legal scholar Carolyn Shapiro explains why she believes the Hamilton Electors should be taken seriously. Transcripts of Amicus are available to Slate Plus members. Consider signing up today!
