Mark Carney is busy trying to Trump-proof Canada with a flurry of trade deals and whispers of a mega anti-Trump alliance linking Europe and the Indo-Pacific. Trade researcher Stuart Trew joins host Noor Azrieh to argue that more free trade isn't a master plan; it's diminishing returns with nicer branding.Plus, Ottawa reporter Sam Konnert breaks down Canada's newly released Defence Industrial Strategy: 70% Canadian content, massive growth targets, and a promise to rebuild both the military and the domestic defence industry at the same time. The catch? Canada's notoriously slow procurement system, and big questions about bureaucracy, “maple-washing,” and whether Ottawa can actually move at the speed it's promising.Host: Noor AzriehCredits: Aviva Lessard (Senior Producer), Sam Konnert (Host/Producer), Noor Azrieh (Host/Producer), Mia Johnson (Producer), Caleb Thompson (Audio Editor and Technical Producer), Max Collins (Director of Audio) Jesse Brown (Editor), Tony Wang (Artwork)Guests: Stuart TrewBackground reading:Carney constructs a mega anti-Trump trade alliance – POLITICOTrump forces a rewrite of Canada's trade strategy – POLITICOJohn Ivison: Canada's pivot to Europe for trade gains traction as Trump loses momentum – National PostDeconstructing the Defence Industrial Strategy - Philippe Lagassé's SubstackU.S. Supreme Court decision on Trump's tariffs could bring more trade uncertainty to Canada – CBC NewsCanada's defence industrial policy would rather Buy Canadian than Buy the Best – The Globe and MailCanada's New Defence Strategy Is Bold and Unprecedented. Hillsdale College Radio General Manager and Radio Free Hillsdale Hour host Scot Bertram fills in for Jim on Wednesday's 3 Martini Lunch. Join Scot and Greg as they celebrate Team USA's Winter Olympics victory, push back on media reluctance to cheer American success, break down the debate over proof of citizenship to vote and the SAVE Act, and examine the left's increasingly crude and demeaning campaign tactics.First, they celebrate Team USA's successful Winter Olympics, including the dramatic overtime gold medal win in hockey on Sunday. They applaud hockey hero Jack Hughes for his unabashed love for the U.S. and react to coverage from outlets like HuffPost that seemed reluctant to fully celebrate American success while President Trump is in office.Next, Scot and Greg take apart arguments from Gavin Newsom and Bernie Sanders, who criticize the SAVE Act's proof-of-citizenship requirement by claiming difficulty in obtaining birth certificates. They also note the irony as New Yorik City requires five forms of identification before hiring people as emergency snow shovelers. Finally, they're disgusted as Newsom demeans black voters by how he tries to identify with them and a prominent Illinois U.S. Senate candidate's only campaign message is vulgarities aimed at President Trump. Chad Caton returns to The Jeff Dornik Show to expose what he witnessed firsthand while attending multiple leftist anti Trump protests across the country, including Portland and Minneapolis. Drawing from direct experience on the ground, Caton explains why these protests are turning violent, how they are being deliberately organized rather than forming organically, and what Americans must understand about the forces driving the chaos. Jeff Dornik and Chad Caton confront the truth behind the unrest and discuss how citizens should respond when political violence is normalized and protected by the radical left.SPONSORSupermassive Black Coffee is crafted from organic, gourmet beans fire-roasted in an antique Victorian-era roaster, delivering the rich, smooth, non-acidic taste that reminds you this is how coffee was always meant to be. 'MeidasTouch' podcaster and progressive media exec Ben Meiselas joins Like & Subscribe's Natalie Jarvey for a fiery discussion of the risks and new rules for American journalists as they report in U.S. cities “that look and feel like Fallujah” and work to cover "a regime that is hell-bent on retribution and instilling fear." Meiselas also reveals his close ties with Don Lemon, now facing federal charges in connection with his coverage of a Minnesota anti-ICE protest, and why he sees the "weaponization" of the U.S. Department of Justice faltering. As Meiselas' podcast sees explosive growth, he argues that legacy news has lost the plot and audiences — "people who feel, who are struggling, who are being left behind" — and shares the strategy to keep building his independent media empire. Tens of thousands of Coloradans have protested at anti-Trump rallies this year, and while most of these gatherings have been peaceful, political violence has been on the rise. KNUS conservative radio host Jeff Hunt attended many of these demonstrations throughout 2025, where he recorded self-described “gotcha”-style videos. At an anti-ICE protest in June, he was kicked in the back while recording, on a day that also saw the arrests of 18 protesters. Host Bree Davies spoke with Jeff about his experience, how he approaches political debates, and the question of violence and safety in Denver. On the other side of a tumultuous year, we're bringing back this conversation for a closer look at how national political tensions have played out in the Mile High. Steve sits down with Hans A. von Spakovsky, national legal expert, to unpack a fascinating and controversial development in Washington, D.C.: how a local advocacy group known as “Free DC” has emerged as a prominent face of anti-Trump resistance in the nation's capital, pushing back against federal involvement in local affairs under President Trump's second term. Von Spakovsky offers his legal perspective on what this movement represents, how grassroots political activism interacts with federal authority and the rule of law, and why understanding groups like Free DC matters to every American watching national politics unfold.

Summary of Events The shooter, identified as Robin Westman (born Robert Westman, 23 years old), carried out an attack at a Catholic church and school during mass. Weapons used: pistol, rifle, and shotgun. Casualties reported: 2 children (ages 8 and 10) killed, 17 others injured (14 children and 3 adults). The shooter allegedly took their own life inside the church. The FBI labeled the case as a hate crime and domestic terrorism targeting Catholics, though local police had not fully confirmed the motive. Shooter Background Legally changed name from Robert to Robin at age 17. Described as transgender by commentators in the text. Left behind videos, writings, and a manifesto with disturbing content: Admiration for previous mass shooters. Anti-Catholic, anti-Trump, and anti-Israel messages written on firearms and magazines (e.g., “Kill Donald Trump,” “Israel must fall”). Obsession with school shootings and extremist rhetoric. Mother previously worked at the same school; shooter graduated from it in 2017. Political & Media Reactions Trump administration officials and FBI leadership framed the shooting as an act of religiously motivated hate. Commentary in the document accuses Democrats and liberal media of downplaying the hate-crime angle and focusing instead on gun control. References to Amy Klobuchar, Jen Psaki, and the Minneapolis mayor, criticizing their calls for tighter gun laws and for allegedly ignoring the ideological/mental health aspects. The mayor’s emotional remarks about gun violence and children’s safety are quoted, but framed as anti-gun rhetoric. The commentary repeatedly emphasizes a pattern of transgender shooters and accuses mainstream media of suppressing that detail. Please Hit Subscribe to this podcast Right Now.
