On this episode we sat down with Joe Marcinek of the Joe Marcinek Band. Our band Side Hustle had the luxury of backing up Joe for the Florida leg of his tour last October and got to become great friends with him. He's not only a genuine guy, but a great guitarists, keys player, and songwriter as well. Every tour Joe takes a different band on the road with him. Members of his band have included George Porter Jr., Melvin Seals, and Nikki Glaspie, and many more! On this episode we dive into his thought process behind the revolving band, being self booked and managed, as well getting into our influences musically. This episode was a lot of fun so we hope you enjoy!

Hard work and fun are the main topics in this episode and Joe Marcinek is a shining example of both. Joe leads the Joe Marcinek Band, which features a new lineup of musicians every night. He’s featured stellar musicians such as Bernie Worrell (RIP), George Porter Jr., Shaun Martin, Tony Hall, Jennifer Hartswick, and many more. With an ever changing lineup you can only imagine the work that goes into each and every show especially when he handles all booking and publicity himself. Joe attributes a lot of his success to the fact that he keeps things fun. At the end of the day isn’t that why we started playing music in the first place?
