This week, Sharla and Daniel are back inside the Roo Bus for a packed Bonnaroo 2026 weekend episode covering the latest festival news, Outeroo discoveries, and all the random chaos that makes the farm feel like home. We talk about the Bonnaroo Superjam, the brand new Beer Tent called Bonnie Roo, and the Arch blasting completely unhinged music at all hours of the day and night. We also take a full look through each day of the Outeroo schedule to talk about what events, activities, and hidden gems might actually be worth checking out this year. Somewhere along the way, the conversation also includes puppet strippers… because honestly, would it even be Bonnaroo without something completely ridiculous happening? If you're planning your Bonnaroo schedule, camping in Outeroo, or just want to hang out and talk Roo with us, this episode is for you.Support the showProceeds from Story Time at the Roo Bus support The TOTEM Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to supporting underserved individuals through music communities. The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers Podcast

Let's be honest, this episode should have been called ""Shop Talk"" because it's 70% theater rakes, 20% filmmaking and maybe 10% We Like Sportz. I guess we could have called it We Like Shop Talkz. Regardless, Jorm and Akiva are technically talking (as opposed to talking technically) about We Like Sportz from 2008 and featured on Incredibad. The second installment of the ""Just Two Guyz"" franchise we see Guy #1 and Guy #2 sing about their obsession with sports and definitely not their daddy issues. They get some great insight from Daniel Scheinert (of the Daniels who isn't spoiling their next movie, a slow boil court room drama) on theater rakes, and Chester Tam, and Jonah Hill, both of who were on site in Encino when this ""Mona Lisa"" was created. Pearl Jam's 2008 tour was a short, but memorable run in between album releases that took them along the entirety of the U.S. East Coast. After shows at Bonnaroo, Madison Square Garden and Mansfield among many more, they finished the run by playing a benefit show at the famed Beacon Theater in New York City. The band helped raise $3 million for the Robin Hood Foundation to fight poverty within the city limits. 2,500 lucky fans were able to witness what happened on this night, help raise funds and awareness while getting a great show out of it. 2008 has a few major storylines for the band that mostly center around songs returning from long absences. This was the first time in 13 years that they brought W.M.A. to the table as a full performance, the first time in the Matt Cameron era that Who You Are was played, and it was the debut year for Lost Dog opening track, All Night. All three of these songs help define the time period, and if you happened to witness the band in New York that year, these songs were accompanied live by three local backing singers. We'll go into depth on how these songs benefitted from a different feel for the band at the time, and how the singers blended in soul with rock 'n' roll to create memorable performances. Especially of Harvest Moon. We'll also talk about Randy's first year getting a chance to see a show and how that changed the trajectory of... his life? And on Javi's side, he'll go into depth on what displeases him about the sound in this era and why he thinks it holds the band back from being able to expand their pallet. The beast not the band but they will be at Bonnaroo this year and apparently you can sneak in boxed wine in a baby stroller and fireworks in a guitar case and say you might be asked to fill in for someone onstage because that happened when Keith Moon passed out at a Who concert after drinking too much boxed wine out of a baby stroller. Host Jeremy C. Park interviews Tad Kinchla, bassist and vocalist of Blues Traveler, who highlights their upcoming performances on May 5 at the Graceland Soundstage in Memphis and June 12 at Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tennessee. Tad shares how his older brother and guitarist, Chan Kinchla, was one of the original members of the band in high school, and how he grew up with the band and was a fan before having the opportunity to join them full-time in 2000. He shares his circuitous route to joining the band, including attending college, playing lacrosse, and playing in different bands, before joining Blues Traveler after the tragic loss of original bass player Bobby Sheehan. Tad shares how he initially learned to play the electric bass without an amp, then transitioned to the upright bass before switching back to the electric bass for convenience with shows. Tad shares his experience playing with his brother and what it was like stepping in to perform with Blues Traveler for the first time since Bobby's passing, describing it as surreal and emotionally charged. He reveals that he was one of five bass players auditioned for the position, and mentions that Oteil Burbridge, who was also considered for the role, ultimately joined Allman Brothers Band, which kicked off his 15-year tenure with that band. Tad describes the welcoming environment where he was immediately encouraged to contribute songs, with one of his compositions becoming their first single on his debut album with Blues Traveler. He explains his approach to fitting into the band's sound by positioning himself with the drums and apart from the mid-range frequency space between other instruments like guitar, keyboard, and harmonica. He discusses Blues Traveler's musical style and the live performance experience. Tad explains how his approach has evolved from filling notes to playing with more restraint, describing his favorite aspect of playing live as interacting with the audience, particularly at outdoor venues. Tad wraps up discussing the VIP experience and information about upcoming shows at Graceland Soundstage in Memphis on May 5th and at Bonnaroo on June 12th. "Choosing love ain't love, unless the choosing is free." What happens when an artist stops caring about the "industry machine" and starts caring only about the truth? Today, we sit down with 2-time JUNO and 17-time CCMA Award winner Tenille Townes to discuss the most transformative chapter of her career yet. Last time Tenille was on the show, we were navigating the beautiful chaos of Bonnaroo 2022. Four years later, the "Nashville production" has been stripped away, leaving a raw, empathetic songwriter who isn't afraid to let the "hero complex" shake. In this episode, we dive deep into her 2026 evolution: The Independence Declaration: Moving from the major label system to becoming the CEO of her own vision. "Enabling": A breakdown of her devastating new single and the thin line between compassion and self-erasure. The "Dolly Moment": Why Tenille's current pivot mirrors the legendary independence of Dolly Parton and Joni Mitchell. Kintsukuroi: Learning from the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery—and why we are more beautiful for our cracks. The Living Room Tour: Why she's trading "band walls" for the vulnerability of a girl and a guitar. From Whispers to Symphonies: Preparing for her upcoming run with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. Tenille isn't just an observer of other people's pain anymore; she's turning the lens inward. Canada's Boy Golden (Liam Duncan) has a new album coming in mid February on Six Shooter Records, and he has several new tours in the works! Music Matters host Darrell Craig Harris catch's up with him at his home in Winnipeg!  About Boy Golden Who is Boy Golden? On the one hand it is moniker for a mysterious new artist, who is building buzz following major support for track "KD and Lunch Meat" from his debut album which hit #1 at Alternative radio in home country of Canada, and major moments including debut at Bonnaroo, and opening for Jason Isbell, MJ Lenderman, and Joshua Ray Walker. On the other hand, Boy Golden is also a conduit for songwriter Liam Duncan-a persona that allows him to create honestly and freely. For Duncan, Boy Golden grants access to an inner world only reachable through music. His three previous albums-For Eden (wistful), For Jimmy (rollicking), and the lemon-yellow-leisure-suited Church of Better Daze-served as a psychic clearing for Best of Our Possible Lives. This new work finds him mid-journey, reckoning with the self as it was, as it is, and as it can be. Boy Golden states "The lines between him and l are soluble... Whether it is my spiritual beliefs, my way of living, my sexuality - it comes up in my writing and I am then forced to reckon with it."
