A Media1 november 27-i műsorában Kelen Károlyt, a 7 éve bezárt Népszabadság utolsó olvasószerkesztőjét, a Népszabadság Egyesület elnökét hívtuk fel. A műsor első felében Del Medico Imre sajtólevelezőről beszélgettünk születésének 100., halálának 4. évfordulója alkalmából. Az egykori sajtólevelező után, a műsor második felében is az újságírásról beszélgettünk, de kicsit más aspektusban. Kelen Károly tett egy ... Ep. 32 - All Hail The Queen featuring DJ Krisy and Madhat It’s our first birthday and it’s an honour to be joined by the legendary DJ Krisy and MC Madhat for the 32nd instalment of Beers, Beats & The Biz. This episode is a journey from hip hop’s earliest days in Australia with two people that were at the forefront of it, from breaking to graffiti and on to radio and live shows. Krisy started breaking around 84, painting graffiti not long after and launched her seminal radio show, Steppin to the AM in 89/90. Her partner Madhat is a B-Boy, writer and was a member of Positive Direction, Acapulco Gold and Towering Inferno - alongside Lazy Grey and DJ Damage. We talk it all from the Street Style Breakers to Krisy partnering with Tiff and painting some of history’s most iconic walls. We talk Madhat’s time at the writers bench, on the streets of Melbourne and his travels as a member of Australian hip hop culture’s earliest crews. We talk about the influence of AKA and DJ C, we talk the Betty Boop wall, panels, Richmond station’s writers bench, Acapulco Gold, Brisbane’s St Valentines Massacre show, travelling, Big Bamboo, connecting with others before the internet and the sheer influence of Krisy and her radio show Steppin to the AM. This episode is packed from front to back and we couldn’t have celebrated our first trip around the sun with two nicer and more iconic individuals. We only exist out here due to the paths paved and battles fought by Krisy and Madhat. Thanks to you for supporting us over the last year and thanks to Krisy and Madhat for all they’ve achieved, and given us. We are live now on iTunes, Soundcloud and Spotify: download, rate, subscribe, comment, share and thank you for tuning in to Beers, Beats & The Biz. We needed a protocol that allowed us to tell a server that we are who we say we are, have it work across NAT, use TCP, UDP, or ICMP as the transport mechanism, act as an extra layer of security, and be secure itself. Oh, and do so with a single packet. Sound crazy? It's actually very useful. We've come up with a Single Packet Authorization (SPA). This is a protocol for a remote user to send in a request to a server which I cannot be replayed and which uniquely identifies the user. The proof-of-concept code alone is worthy of a presentation itself, but SPA is so much more. This is not port-knowcking (although SPA can easily replace port-knocking with something much more secure). MadHat leads the DC214, Dallas Defcon Group and is a member of NMRC. His paying gig is as the Manager of Vernier Threat Labs. Before working at Vernier, MadHat was one of the core security team members for Yahoo and leat the vulnerability assessment and day-to-day security monitoring for Yahoo world-wide. He has written several open source security tools and has contributed to an upcoming book on NMap being written by Fyodor. Simple Nomad is the founder of the Nomad Mobile Research Centre (NMRC), an international group pf hackers that explore technology. By day he works as a Senior Security Analyst for BindView Corporation. He has spent several years developing and testing various computer systems for security strengths. He has authored numerous papers, developed a number of tools for testing the security and insecurity of computer systems, a frequently-sought lecturer at security conferences, and has been quoted in print and television media outlets regarding computer security and privacy.
