BJ and Steve welcome in a double dose of awesome guests on Episode 143! This time, it's Mike Grade, founder of Rock Manor Games (and designer of Lawyer Up!) and Clarence Simpson, designer of the hit game amongst the Gumbo Krewe, The Wolves! We reviewed: The Quacks of Quedlinberg Wander Towers And there is a heaping helping of Southern Board Game Fest advertise---errr---news sprinkled all over the show. Lots of inside baseball? Sure, but the Chat Krewe is bubbling with excitement about the best board game convention south of Vidrine, Louisiana! But wait there's more! The big feature was a deep dive into MERCHANTS OF MAGICK, and the two brand new expansions hitting Kickstarter this week from Rock Manor Games! Mike and Clarence tell us about the development, give us insights into the game process, and talk about all the new content! And finally, it's not Gumbo Live! unless we play a game with the Chat Krewe -- this time Steve and I and Clarence go head-to-head with Mike Gnade's brain, in THE ENVIE GAME. But there's a shocking twist as to the winner! You'll have to listen to the Chat Krewe's contributions to believe it! Merchants of Magick expansions crowdfunding project is on Kickstarter right now and has already funded: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mikegnade/merchants-of-magick-dangerous-business Thanks for listening! Laissez les bon temps rouler!

Maximum Apocalypse is a survival and exploration game that has already funded and shipped, and is currently being enjoyed by gamers in the wider community. It is an exploration and survival game where you and your friends travel on a modular map, looking for supplies and just trying to last long enough so that various monsters don't eat you. The exploration part has elements of Forbidden Island/ Desert. As a player, you will handle a deck in a similar way that you would in games like Sentinels of the Multiverse or Andriod: Netrunner. Mike Gnade visits our show answer critical questions about how the original project was received, some good and bad feedback, and how Gothic Horrors moves the ball forward.
