Para o funcionamento adequado do promissor mercado internacional de hidrogênio de baixo carbono, uma etapa fundamental será a de certificação da produção, que validará o montante de carbono emitido no processo produtivo do hidrogênio. Preocupada com essa questão, a Câmara de Comercialização de Energia Elétrica (CCEE) obteve a aprovação do Comitê Internacional de Produção e Transmissão de Energia Elétrica (Cigré), na França, para participar de grupo de trabalho global sobre certificação de energia e hidrogênio renovável. A CCEE vai debater em âmbito internacional quais os atributos necessários para definir o hidrogênio como renovável e quais os critérios mínimos a serem considerados em uma certificação desse processo. Para entendermos um pouco mais sobre esse assunto, a MegaWhat conversou com o gerente de Análise e Informações ao Mercado da CCEE, Ricardo Gedra, que participa diretamente dessas discussões. Segundo ele, a ideia é que a certificação não exclua rotas tecnológicas, nem fontes de energia.
