NXT gave us a pretty fun, easy-to-watch show this week. Nothing dragged too badly, there was solid match variety, and the show moved at a good pace. Zaria opened things with a strong win over Lizzy Rain and, finally, this felt like the Zaria people have been waiting to see. OTM and The Culling had a fun tag match, Jackson Drake kept the momentum going, Lola Vice set up her next challenger situation, Dark State got a needed win, and Tony D'Angelo retained the NXT Championship in a solid main event.Not everything was great. Lexis King vs. Romeo Moreno for the NXT Speed Championship was pretty dull and definitely not the best showcase for that division. I recently (and very quietly!) celebrated an important milestone on the Restorative Reading & Writing for Wellness podcast: I reached the 225 episode milestone!It truly seems like yesterday when I nervously hit record and uploaded a very real, raw episode into the world and it's been a wonderful journey of learning ever since. Recently, I've started posting some of these backlist episodes in my current show notes as they relate to the current theme in case you missed it or are new to the podcast and I've loved seeing new life brought to these old episodes. So, I've decided to periodically bring back a backlist episode that relates to my current one-word theme in hopes that it re-energizes your reading and writing life, too. Starting today!Spring is in the air and that means Spring cleaning, organizing and freshening. This kind of work pairs perfectly with my RELEASE theme and might help you let go of the old and make space for the new on your bookshelf….and your life. Today, I am talking about shelf-care or showing love to your bookshelf in mindful and intentional ways to rejuvenate your reading life and how it can lead to self-care in our actual lives, too. Here's a quick overview of the steps I shared in the episode:Know Your WhyFirst, before you even get started, articulate why you are choosing to cull your book collection. Clearly stating your ‘why' behind this work will give you the energy your bookish heart will need to tackle it. Say it out loud. Are you sorting through your books to gain:* a cleaner and refreshed look to your bookshelves?* additional space for new titles and genres?* a chance to sift through your reading life past and plan for the future?Whatever the reason, define your why and hold it close throughout the process.Remove & SortNext, pull all the books off of your shelf so you can literally see and touch each one. This contact is important. Quickly glancing at the titles on your self will not suffice. Pick up each book and sort them into two piles: read and not read yet.Review the Books You've ReadThen, head to the stack of books you've already read. Pick up each book, say the title and author out loud and fan the pages. Saying the title out loud will jog your memory of the book and fanning the pages will highlight any dog-earned passages, bookmarks or sticky notes, all signs you loved the book. If this process does NOT jog your memory of the book, then that's a sure sign you might let it go.Make a decision to keep or donate each book. Is it a book that you read, loved, remembered and want to keep? Yes? Well, why? If you have a compelling reason to keep the book on your shelf waiting patiently for another reader that might never come, then do so. If not, set it aside so you can pay it forward to share with a reader who will love and appreciate it. Continue the process until you have sorted all of the books into KEEP and SHARE piles.But don't put them back on the shelf. Not yet!Review the Books You Haven't Read YetNext, it's time to head to the stack of books you have not read yet. Just as with the books you've already read, pick up each book and say the title and author aloud. How do you feel? Does the book register in your memory? Does it tug at your reading heart? Or do you feel nothing at all? Use that gut feeling to decide whether to keep the book on your shelves or donate to others. These questions might help you decide:* Do you remember when and why you purchased the book?* Are those reasons still relevant in your life today?* Do you remember who recommended it to you and why they thought you might enjoy it?If you can answer these questions and are still interested in the book, keep it. If not and you do not feel any tug at your reading heart, then pay it forward to another reader.Now, there are two steps left: to reorganize your newly culled reading shelves and decide on your donation strategy.Reorganize & ReshelveFirst, let's reorganize. Organization of your bookshelves is a personal process that should be based on your preferences and wishes as a reader AND your desire for organization and accessibility. The official website for the Jujutsu Kaisen anime announced on Thursday that the 12th and final episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1, the first part of the third season of the anime, will air as an extended 27-minute episode on March 26. This is also the 59th overall episode for the series.The anime premiered with the first two episodes as a one-hour special on January 8 on the "Super Animeism TURBO" programming block on MBS, TBS, and their affiliates. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime worldwide, excluding Asia.

Join Our Discord!The third season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime television series is based on the manga series Jujutsu Kaisen by Gege Akutami. An animated adaptation of the manga was originally announced in the 52nd issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump, which was published in November 2019.[1]Following the conclusion of the second season, an unspecified anime sequel covering the "Culling Game" story arc from the manga was announced.[2][3] In August 2025, it was announced that the sequel would be the series' third season, currently titled The Culling Game: Part 1 (死滅回游 前編, Shimetsu Kaiyū: Zenpen), which premiered with a one-hour special featuring the first two episodes of the season on January 9, 2026. Shōta Goshozono returns from the previous season to direct, with Hiroshi Seko and Yoshimasa Terui [ja] respectively returning as series composition writer and music composer.[4][5][6][a]The season is adapting the manga's "Itadori's Extermination", "Perfect Preparation", and "Culling Game" story arcs.[7][2] The plot follows the Jujutsu Sorcerers entering the Culling Game,[8][9] with the main objective of fighting off Kenjaku[10] and freeing Satoru Gojo from the Prison Realm.[11] A compilation film of Shibuya Incident, which also featured the first two episodes of The Culling Game: Part 1, premiered in Japanese theaters on November 7, 2025.[4]

This episode's guests were speakers on the Joint ADSA-CSAS Breeding and Genetics Symposium:Dairy Welfare—Breeding and Management Strategies at the 2025 ADSA annual meeting. Jessica's talk was titled “Herd Sustainability Index: Using milk recording data to evaluate dairy herd sustainability.” This index provides a national percentile ranking benchmark for producers relative to sustainability from DHI data. The index evaluates ten indicators in four major categories: longevity and culling, feeding and production, heifers, and health. (2:51)Dr. Vasseur's talk was titled “Improving welfare through inclusive innovation: The story of WELL-E.” This inclusive innovation delivers data-driven solutions with and for the Canadian dairy industry by integrating stakeholder and domain knowledge with cutting-edge tools and methods of the improvement of animal and human welfare. (4:48)Dr. Vasseur talks about the development of the Code of Practice for the Care and Handling of Dairy Cattle, which was published in 2023. This most recent code of practice included recommendations and requirements for more opportunities for movement for dairy cattle, particularly those in tie stall environments. Dr. Vasseur's lab has conducted research in this area to help dairy producers with possible modifications of stalls and other recommendations to improve cow comfort. Jessica describes her master's research in tie stall modifications. The guests go on to talk about how often cows in tie stalls bump into their stall, some proof-on-concept research looking at doubling stall size, and recommendations for cow comfort improvements in existing tie stall operations. (6:53)Dr. Vasseur discusses the relationship between cow comfort and longevity. She also talks about the realities of converting a tie stall barn to a free stall barn. (20:12)Jessica describes the indicators used in the Herd Sustainability Index in more detail. A minimum of six tests in the last 12 months with 50% of the cows being recorded are needed to calculate the index for a farm. Seven of the ten HSI indicators are required for the index to be calculated. She goes on to explain how producers can see their index compared to the rest of Canada as well as historical change in their index, and details an incentive program for high-indexing and most-improved herds. (24:07)Dr. Vasseur talks about cow comfort and welfare comparisons among intensive dairy production countries. She envisions the development and implementation of technology to allow for more automation and reduced observer bias of processes such as lameness evaluation. (30:30)So what is WELL-E? Dr. Vasseur gives some background and details about bringing together animal scientists, computer scientists, and stakeholders to develop cutting-edge tools for the improvement of animal and human welfare. (33:24)Jessica talks about her PhD research in dairy cow behavior and pasture management. She conducted a study where pastures were mowed the morning of grazing compared to conventional grazing. Cows in the mowed pastures spent more time ruminating and drank more water, but no differences in milk production or milk components were observed. (38:02)Panelists share their take-home thoughts.
