Before creating Now with Natalie and Beyond the Surface, Natalie Manuel Lee shed her former identity as a woman of faith who stayed in her comfort zone. The HIllsong Channel star tells Ashley she gained a new understanding of “death” as she recounts leaving her brother's leading fashion label, Fear of God, to discover her own purpose as a vessel for fearless conversations. Natalie describes her “coldest winter ever” surviving postpartum depression and how that dark season helped her blossom. The faith-led showrunner outlines how jettisoning the past propelled her into a true purpose, and why it's important not to “abort the process” necessary for transformation. She affirms that when life leads her to “unbecome,” she gets closer to being the woman she was always meant to be.

My guest today is Natalie Manuel Lee the host of NOW with Natalie. In the mist of celebrating her second season and soon to welcome a new baby girl, she made time to chat about mental health and faith. I watched the first season of her show in one weekend, and was in complete awe of her; because her personal journey was to improve the life of others. In this episode I had the opportunity to speak with her about the path she walks. She truly lives what she speaks and even helped me put many things in perspective during our conversation. Her second season is out now and is also a must watch. www.simonevivian.com
Today we're joined by Hillsong Channel host Natalie Manuel Lee. We talk about knowing how to bridge the gap between your gifts and your purpose, and keeping your head on straight when it feels like things are falling apart. And as great as that conversation is, we should be honest this episode actually gets into the ridiculousness ditch for the first half. The "Boys Are Back In Town" .... because Jamie isn't on this one. It's a hilarious episode, but substance does happen eventually. We promise.

We see ourselves through the lense of lies that aim to rob us of our destiny and our God given identity. Today we're dismantling the lies that shame tries to place on us with our guest Natalie Manuel Lee. It's about to get GOOD.
