He is the Head Men's Basketball Coach and Athletic Director at Enka High School. He's entering his 31st year as a high school coach, 20th as head coach and AD. He's the all time leader in wins for the men's basketball program at Enka with over 200+ wins. They won their league championship in 2010 and 2012 and made 5 straight appearances in the league tournament championship game from 2010-14. He was named the NCBCA District Coach of the Year in 2010. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Award from the NCHSAA in 2007. He was named the NCBCA Coaches vs Cancer NC Coach of the Year in 2013. In 2019, I was honored with the prestigious NCHSAA Spirit of the Sport award. I am the Founder and Director of the NCBCA COACHES VS CANCER SHOOTOUT. To date, he has raised over $165,000 for the American Cancer Society. He has proudly served the NCBCA since 2005 and now a member of the Executive Board. In July of 2021, he was selected to serve on the NCHSAA Board of Directors and also the NC Coaches Association Board of Directors. In 2018 he created Elevation Basketball, a basketball company to help basketball coaches. They host clinics and jamborees for HS coaches and teams and in 2020 launched our own podcast. He is a proud father of 3, son Cody, Daughters Emily and Kylie.
