C-Lo starts with the sounds of Team USA beating the Dominican Republic. Tommy Lugauer annoyed the listeners by taking a shot at Judge, so a caller yelled at him and he yelled back. The Knicks came back to beat a bad Warriors team at the Garden.
With Gio stuck in Florida, Boomer and Jerry open the show covering Team USA's WBC victory and St. John's Big East title before Boomer recounts a miserable flight fueled by canned wine. They pivot to the Jets' trade for Geno Smith and the Knicks' comeback win over the Warriors, while C-Lo highlights Aaron Judge's tournament praise and Tommy Lugauer's heated clash with a caller. The discussion continues with the Knicks' playoff outlook, the NBA's season length, and Rick Pitino's reaction to St. John's NCAA seeding. Finally, the guys react to Craig Carton calling Boomer a “compiler,” break down Daniel Jones' big contract, and close with the latest on Gio's airport ordeal.
A look at the Knicks' playoff outlook and their favorable schedule to catch Detroit, followed by a discussion on why the NBA won't shorten its season. C-Lo has sounds from Team USA's WBC win over the Dominican Republic, featuring Aaron Judge's praise for the tournament atmosphere, plus, Rick Pitino's post-Big East title comments. Also, an ESPN shoutout to Eddie Scozzare. The hour concludes with Gio's update from his nine-hour airport ordeal and a caller's theory that the NCAA is intentionally slighting St. John's due to Rick Pitino.
Craig Carton called Boomer a “compiler” for his record-breaking WFAN tenure, leading to a discussion on their respective histories at the station. C-Lo's final update includes a caller's tribute to Matthew Schaefer, Team USA's win and Tommy Lugauer's heated debate over Aaron Judge's comments on the WBC. Plus, Carlos Mendoza's thoughts on Francisco Lindor, the Knicks' comeback victory against the Warriors, Jim Irsay's memorabilia auction and Daniel Jones' massive contract. Also, a “Moment of the Day” featuring an alligator and canned wine, a final check-on Gio's travel status, and Jerry's story about geese fighting on the golf course.
The Knicks beat the Warriors, who were without any of their good players, but had to come back down 21 to win. We talked about all the money Jim Irsay's family made by auctioning off a lot of his music memorabilia. Daniel Jones got a huge payday last week when Boomer was off. The Moment of The Day: An alligator attitude with a gun & a can of wine.
Boomer and Jerry discuss the Jets' trade for Geno Smith, acknowledging Frank Reich's upcoming plan and the possibility of adding Carson Wentz. C-Lo's update features Aaron Judge's defensive highlights and a heated exchange between Tommy Lugauer and an annoyed caller. After covering the Knicks' comeback victory over the Warriors, the show features a frustrated Minnesota weatherman who reminds Jerry of Al Dukes, Gio's travel woes in Florida and Boomer's late-night return home.
Sports Radio Personality Joe Benigno joins Sid to talk about WFAN “heydays,” before focusing on college basketball, arguing St. John's was “screwed” with a 5-seed sent to San Diego while UConn, which St. John's beat twice including by 20, got a 2-seed; he attributes it to the committee disliking Rick Pitino due to past NCAA issues. Benigno says St. John's must reach the Sweet 16 after winning 19 of 20 and believes they could make a Final Four, while predicting a No. 1 seed likely wins the tournament and highlighting Iowa State as a strong team. He also discusses the Knicks' playoff-focused outlook after a close win over a short-handed Warriors, critiques college sports realignment, and recaps Team USA's 2–1 WBC win over the Dominican Republic featuring key defense, relief pitching, and late strikeouts of Soto and Machado. Evan responds to comments from Mike Francesa criticizing anyone who questions Wilt Chamberlain's legendary 100-point game. Evan makes it clear he isn't attacking Wilt's greatness—he calls him one of the most dominant players in basketball history—but instead argues that the specific circumstances of the game itself were manipulated and shouldn't be viewed the same as other historic performances. To support the point, Evan cites research, past reporting, and even comments from players who were in the game, arguing that the final stretch was artificially engineered to reach 100 points. The segment turns into a broader debate about how sports history gets remembered, whether context matters when evaluating records, and why criticizing a single moment isn't the same as disrespecting an all-time legend.
As the Knicks wrap up their road trip and head back to Madison Square Garden, the crew reacts to the buzz around the Warriors matchup—minus Steph Curry. With fans paying premium prices hoping to see the superstar, the conversation turns to ticket resale, expectations for marquee games, and what the Knicks' return home means after a long stretch on the road. The guys also dive into a bizarre NBA stat comparing Bam Adebayo's massive 43-free-throw night to Mikal Bridges barely getting to the line this season, sparking a debate about roles, minutes, and whether the numbers actually mean anything. The episode wraps with the always chaotic “Idiots With Idioms” segment, highlighting the week's funniest on-air flubs and mangled sayings from around the station.

Munaf Manji and Dave Essler talk betting for Friday. Friday's Cash That Ticket episode on the Straight Outta Vegas AM feed moved across several betting markets, with Munaf Manji and Dave Essler touching on college basketball, MLB futures, NFL offseason movement, and Friday best bets. The tone opened with some frustration after both hosts dropped their Thursday selections, but they framed it as a bump in a strong recent run and turned quickly toward Friday's card. Essler also shared details from a long volunteer shift at The Players Championship, describing the physical toll of a full day on his feet in the rain, while also reflecting on the contrast between players who treated volunteers and fans with appreciation and those who did not. He highlighted Ben Griffin and Eric Cole for thanking volunteers, and noted Patton Kizzire and Nicolai Hojgaard for handing balls to kids during tournament play. On the betting side, the MLB discussion centered on the Toronto Blue Jays. Manji noted Toronto's 94 win season, AL East title, strong home record, World Series appearance, and current win total in the 87.5 to 88.5 range. Essler said he was higher on Toronto than the market, arguing the club had strengthened its pitching despite losing Chris Bassitt, pointing to additions including Dylan Cease and other offseason moves. He questioned why the team was being priced several wins lower than last season and said he liked the over on the win total. Manji agreed, citing Vladimir Guerrero Jr., roster depth, front office aggression, and the organization's willingness to spend and make in season upgrades. He said Toronto could reach 90 wins again and backed the over 88.5. The conversation then shifted to NFL win totals and quarterback changes. Atlanta drew attention after Tua Tagovailoa joined the Falcons on a one year deal. Manji framed the move as a fresh start for a quarterback whose availability has been a recurring issue, and asked whether Atlanta could clear a 7.5 win total with new coach Kevin Stefanski, Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts in place. Essler was skeptical, raising concerns about Tagovailoa's durability, Atlanta's ceiling at quarterback, and whether Stefanski's reputation exceeds the results. He said everything would need to break right for the Falcons to get to eight wins, though he conceded the division leaves room for a team to outperform modest expectations. Manji leaned under 7.5, saying the number likely comes down to health and whether Tagovailoa can hold up for a full season. The Minnesota Vikings were also discussed after signing Kyler Murray. Manji argued that Murray was an upgrade and could benefit from Kevin O'Connell's offensive approach, even if the fit still comes with questions. Essler pushed back harder, saying Arizona's willingness to move on spoke loudly and questioning whether Murray matches what Minnesota wants to do offensively. He also noted uncertainty at quarterback overall and said the Vikings' finish last season looked less impressive under closer inspection. Both hosts leaned under Minnesota's 8.5 win total, with Essler saying the team was still moving in the wrong direction from where it stood a few years earlier. To close the show, the hosts gave out Friday best bets. Essler went with the under in Timberwolves Warriors, saying recent high scoring Minnesota games would drive an overreaction in the market and create value on a lower total in a matchup he expected to play slower. Manji backed the Pacers plus 13.5 against the Knicks, citing Indiana's recent competitiveness in the series and what he described as a growing rivalry between the teams. Essler also added a bonus bet on Kennesaw State plus 3.5. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The show dives into a packed New York sports conversation, from what the Knicks' three-point numbers reveal about winning to the emotional reaction around Geno Smith potentially returning to the Jets. The hosts wrestle with a bigger question facing the franchise: is short-term competence enough, or should everything be focused on finding a true long-term future at quarterback? The episode also covers Carlos Beltran's Mets legacy and why his number retirement feels significant despite the complications surrounding his career, plus a lively interview with Carl Banks on Giants culture, offseason moves, Evan Neal, and the mindset John Harbaugh's influence could bring. Add in debate over Team USA's approach to the World Baseball Classic and whether American players are treating it with the same urgency as other countries, and the result is a fast-moving episode full of strong opinions, fan frustration, and big-picture New York sports talk.
Evan Roberts and Tiki Barber dig into the latest drama surrounding the World Baseball Classic, after Evan uncovers what he believes is a suspicious bracket setup. As Team USA advances with help from Team Italy, the conversation turns to how the tournament determines its semifinal matchups and why the United States and Japan are seemingly placed on opposite sides. Is it truly about geography, or is it a strategic move designed to guarantee the biggest possible matchup later in the tournament? The show also branches into a debate about how seriously Team USA takes the WBC compared to other countries, with players from places like the Dominican Republic and Japan showing noticeably more passion. Evan and Tiki then pivot to the New York Knicks grinding out a comeback win on the road and the complicated legacy of Carlos Beltrán as the New York Mets prepare to retire his number. The episode wraps with fan calls, including a memorable moment from an 11-year-old listener skipping school to attend the Big East Tournament with his dad.
A packed hour starts with the stunning return of Evan Neal to the Giants and a heated debate over whether John Harbaugh has earned blind trust from fans. The conversation digs into Neal's disappointing career arc, the possibility of a move to guard, and why this low-cost signing still feels like a massive perception test for a franchise trying to turn the page. The show also bounces around a busy sports day with reaction to the Knicks' comeback win in Utah, frustration over the World Baseball Classic bracket, and discussion of Carlos Beltran's complicated Mets legacy after news that his number will be retired. It's a lively mix of Giants skepticism, baseball passion, and classic New York sports talk energy.

Munaf Manji talks betting for Thursday. Munaf Manji opened Thursday's Cash That Ticket podcast with a recap of a dramatic win on the Knicks, who fell behind Utah by 15 after one quarter before roaring back to cover as 13.5 point favorites. New York outscored the Jazz 108 to 76 over the final three quarters and won 134 to 117, giving Manji a best bet winner. Uncle Dave was less fortunate, as Montana led at halftime but could not hold on late. Through the week, the pair stood at 3 and 1 on best bets. Manji also ran through Wednesday's other NBA results, including Orlando's 128 to 122 win over Cleveland, Denver's 129 to 93 blowout of Houston, and the Clippers' 153 to 128 victory over Minnesota behind 45 points from Kawhi Leonard. Turning to Thursday's card, Manji focused first on Denver at San Antonio. Despite the Nuggets playing the second leg of a back to back, he noted their starters logged modest minutes in the win over Houston, which should help on the quick turnaround. Even so, he leaned Spurs minus 5.5, provided Victor Wembanyama suits up, citing San Antonio's recent form on both ends of the floor. Over the last 10 games, he said the Spurs ranked fourth in offensive efficiency, fifth in defensive rating, and owned the league's second best net rating. He also liked the Spurs team total over 122.5. In Boston at Oklahoma City, Manji saw value with the Celtics plus 6.5. He pointed to Boston's consistency, strong road record, and defensive profile, while also noting that Oklahoma City had been just 10 and 11 against the spread in non conference games. He expected Boston to have enough defensive options to make life difficult for Shai Gilgeous Alexander and keep the game tight. Still, he stopped short of making it an official best bet because Jayson Tatum and Derrick White were listed as questionable. In Milwaukee at Miami, Manji liked the over 234.5 and made it his best bet. His reasoning centered on Miami's pace and Milwaukee's defensive struggles. He noted that the Heat have played fast all season and ranked second in pace over the last 10 games while sitting third in offensive efficiency over that span. The Bucks, meanwhile, had slipped badly on defense, ranking among the league's worst recent units and allowing 129 or more points in three of their last four games. He said that trend made both the full game over and the Heat team total attractive looks. Uncle Dave's best bet for Thursday came from college basketball, with Houston minus 10 against BYU. Manji added that he also liked the Cougars team total over, pointing to the rest advantage and Houston's typical strength in March under Kelvin Sampson. He closed by highlighting Pregame's March Badness 2026 contest, a free college basketball contest running through the national title game, and reminded listeners about a 20 percent discount code for Pregame subscriptions. His final card featured Spurs minus 5.5 and Spurs team total over 122.5 as leans, Celtics plus 6.5 as a conditional look, Houston minus 10 as Uncle Dave's best bet, and Bucks Heat over 234.5 as his official play.
