Nicole Longstreath, a lifestyle and business coach, who has been helping her clients succeed since 2011. As part of being a lifestyle coach, Nicole helps her clients find their unique personal style and helps them dress for success! In today's episode, Nicole and I bounce around a little bit on our topics, but believe me they're all so valuable to hear. We talk a little bit about hiring the correct coach, developing a strong money mindset, and even how to overcome feeling jealous or comparing ourselves to others.   Key Insights & Aha Moments: *Nicole has been an entrepreneur since 2011. *It often takes a major life event for people to get motivated in this career field. *We're not taught to be entrepreneurs so we don't embrace it as quickly. *Nicole talks about hiring a coach and how it has helped her succeed. *As part of being a lifestyle coach, Nicole would teach her clients virtually how to find their style and dress well to boost confidence and self-esteem. *When you hire a coach, you reach a higher level of success faster, but it takes time to find the right one for you. *There is no secret sauce to business. You hire a coach to get motivation and accountability. *Nicole attributes some of her success to just building out her personal community and connections. *What does community look like to Nicole? Nicole used to have an accountability buddy system, but now she has joined a mastermind. *Nicole talks about money mindset. *Despite rarely ever getting negative feedback from Nicole's clients, it still took her a while to believe she was providing value. *Create content in the medium that feels best to you. Blogging? Podcasting? It's up to you. *Let's revisit the money mindset topic again. Too many people struggle with this. *Final piece of advice for those who are just getting started: Identity who you want to be and wake up with that identity every morning. *I challenge you to incorporate a mindset practice into your daily routine.   Maven Moment: When Nicole talked about having a positive money mindset, I instantly knew some of you guys are struggling with this very issue as well. I'm so glad Nicole mentioned it on the show and I think what she said about proving to herself that she did, indeed, provide value to her clients is so important for everyone to hear. It does take time to believe in yourself and to stop comparing yourself to others, but you have to put in the work necessary to help you overcome it.   Mentioned in This Episode: www.michellemcglade.com/ Maven Inner Circle Making The Maven on Facebook www.takeyourpowerbacknow.com/ The War of Art by Steven Pressfield   Connect with Nicole: Website Facebook

This talk has been inspired by my interview with Nicole Longstreath in this week's Making the Maven podcast. We talked about choosing a medium that's a right fit for you. If you don't feel comfortable writing, then you're likely not going to enjoy doing it, which means you won't be consistent with it.  I truly believe you need to leverage your strengths all the way and if you prefer speaking, then start a podcast instead! In order to build the know, like, and trust factor, you have to put out consistent content. The second step I would like to talk to you guys about is to focus on creating high value content. Again, this continues to build the know, like, and trust factor. When you can bring your audience value, they'll want to come back time and time again to hear what you have to say. How do you get to rock star status with your content? Writing about a problem your ideal target market constantly has and solving it. If you really want to stand out and attract those ideal clients, you have to, again, consistently put content out and provide high, high value. That's it! I know it's simple, but it can be so, so difficult to apply. Let's take action on this. Set a time in your calendar to create content and make a list of your target audiences' problems. What kind of questions are you getting over and over? Answer them! Those could be excellent topics that you can include in your content creation strategy. Get to work guys!

I am SO excited for today's episode. We're talking about style and branding. Now when you see that word "style" don't get scared off. One of my favorite things about Nicole (and we talk about this in the episode) is that she's not ALL about "fashion" and "trends" she talks about style that is inline with what you like and feel great in. Nicole Longstreathis a virtual wardrobe stylist, working with women who have online businesses and identities. She loves helping women entrepreneurs define and express their authentic style with direct coaching, virtual programs and digital products.  Learn More Connect with Nicole at The Wardrobe Code Learn more about StyleCamp Learn more about Virtual Shopping Connect with Me Email me at podcast@thestaceyharris.com Tweet with me and include #HittheMic
