Send us a textFashion is a dance off classic lines like “Do I look good in this?” versus “Omg, I love her sweater”.Wardrobe stylist and emotional intelligence coach, Jennine Jacob, joins me to talk about fashion…and how its more than just trends in a magazine.Style has an impact on your mental health in more ways than you realize. When you love what you're wearing, you stand a little taller, walk with more purpose, and take a few more risks—it physically impacts the way you move through the world and, in turn, the way the world responds to you.Fashion these days feels boring, when it should be about expressing your own identity and creativity. You walk through the mall, and the displays are about as exciting as watching paint dry. That's because Fast Fashion is killing style just as quickly as it's killing the planet. We talk about style trends, cycles, flashy terms and more. It comes down to the roles you play in life and the world…it's not about WHAT you wear, but HOW you wear it!And you're more likely to wear something with confidence and positive energy when you're open to loving yourself. Jennine shares her personal journey and struggle with style and self-love, and how loving herself proved more effective than any diet program she's ever tried. There is so much packed into this episode. Wanna get unstuck in your style? Tune in. Wanna learn how Jennine harnessed ‘celebrity energy' to grow her social media following? Tune in. Wanna get deep about learning to love yourself and tap into self-love confidence? TUNE IN.Seriously. Listen to the episode, whether you're currently pinning the coastal grandma aesthetic or you want to tap into the power of self-love in creating your own style. What's Inside:Why is fashion SO boring these days? How is style and emotional intelligence connected? How can self love improve your fashion?Tapping into ‘Celebrity Energy' to reach your goals. Are you also confused…should you be a Cool Girl? A Mob Wife? A Coastal Grandma? Hopefully Jennine's tips have sunk in and you can see your style is about YOU, not some role you're cosplaying. Imagine being confined to a certain wardrobe because you fall into a specific age group? How limiting! And where is the self-expression? Midlife Style School:  Join Here For many people, the notion of body typing has been a useful tool in understanding how to best dress their bodies. Unfortunately, it can also be limiting and even damaging if taken too literally. In this podcast, we will discuss why body typing doesn't work—and why your body is not the shape of a geometric shape or the shape of a fruit! First, let's look at what body typing is: it's the idea that certain physical characteristics—such as height, weight, and body shape—can be used to determine which types of clothing styles might look best on someone. This can be helpful for finding an overall sense of style that works for you. However, it's important to remember that everyone is different and there isn't one type of clothing that looks good on all body shapes. When it comes to choosing clothes based on your unique body type, one size does not fit all. For example, some women may have an hourglass figure with curves in the right places while others may have a more athletic build with broader shoulders or muscular legs. Each woman should take her individual features into account when selecting clothing that complements her shape and makes her feel confident. Finally, never forget to consider your lifestyle when shopping for clothes; do you need comfortable clothing for running errands? Business professional attire for work? Or something more glamorous for special occasions? Knowing what activities you need clothing for will help guide your choices so you don't have to rely solely on body typing rules. At the end of the day, wearing clothing that fits your unique features can help make sure you look and feel your best! Body typing does offer helpful suggestions about what kind of styles may work well for certain figures but try not to restrict yourself by sticking strictly to these generalizations – remember: no two bodies are alike! Imagine, after years of living on your own, building a 15-year career an award-winning career as a Creative Consultant and Wardrobe Stylist, and essentially checking all the success boxes, a chronic illness drops into your body, leading you back to your hometown to move in with your parents as you work to rehabilitate and heal, and try to not just reclaim, but reimagine your life.Today's guest, Tiffani Moore, knows exactly what it's like to be in this scenario—forced to listen to her body's need for recovery and support after she found out she had Lupus. Tiffani is the Founder and Owner of Moore WellBeings, in addition to being an Intuitive Healer & Coach, Reiki Master, yoga instructor, BreathWork, and MNDFL certified Meditation Facilitator. Before making her mark in the world of wellness, she spent 15+ years building a career as a successful, sought-after stylist and Creative Consultant. But her lupus diagnosis, and the physical and psychological devastation that led up to it, changed everything. Seeking less conventional solutions, she followed her intuition and began to study the power of alternative therapies, including meditation, yoga, herbal medicine, and many of the healing practices she utilizes with clients now. Recovering her wellbeing has been a years-long, painstaking process, fueled by intensive learning, and eventually, a drive to train in and share the many modalities she'd discovered, while also creating a safe, nonjudgmental and well-informed space for marginalized communities to explore holistic wellness. In this conversation with Tiffani today, you'll hear us explore the harsh realities of living with a chronic illness, like feeling like a burden to loved ones or the struggle to balance rest and recovery with the need to work to survive. We talk about intuition and its role in healing, wellness, and self-expression and how it could benefit us to rethink wellness not as a luxury but instead as a birthright or something we all deserve and can access. You can find Tiffani at: Website | InstagramIf you LOVED this episode you'll also love the conversations we had with James Gordon about the power of the mind to heal and work through illness and trauma.Check out our offerings & partners: My New Book SparkedMy New Podcast SPARKEDVisit Our Sponsor Page For a Complete List of Vanity URLs & Discount Codes.ClickUp: 15% off ClickUp's massive Unlimited Plan for a year.
