WDW Radio # 475 - Planet Hollywood Observatory LIVE Review As Disney Springs continues to grow and evolve from what was Downtown Disney, so have many of the venues which have been there since the Pleasure Island days. One such location is Planet Hollywood, which opened in 1994 amidst the glitz and glamour of Hollywood royalty like Bruce Willis, Demi Moore, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Jessica Rabbit. Recently, the restaurant underwent a transformation - in name, theming, and menu. This week, join me at the table, as we sample the menu, review the decor, and see what at Planet Hollywood had changed, and what has remained the same. And remember... Don’t listen hungry. One of Disney’s newer Vacation Club Resorts sits in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and is a literal paradise. Disney’s Aulani Resort in Ko Olina, Hawaii is a home away from home for Disney Vacation Club members, and it brings a little taste of Disney to the beauty of the Pacific islands. This week Bryan are joined by Jonathan’s mom to talk about their vacation in Aulani and to give a review of the resort. If you’ve ever wondered what Disney’s Aulani is like for children, Jonathan and his kiddo have a great review for you this week from a child’s perspective. We all know vacations can be totally different for parents as they are for children. So, Jonathan and his daughter are going to discuss some of her thoughts on the resort. In Disney news this week, we talk about some new Nightmare Before Christmas merchandise that is hitting the stores inside the parks just in time for Fall, new light saber technology that Disney recently patented, what Guy Fieri is bringing to the soon-to-be newly refurbished Planet Hollywood Observatory, and much more. Additionally, we’ll add more loyal listeners to the All About The Mouseketeer Roll Call. If you’d like to become an official All About The Mouseketeer or just send feedback to the show, send us an email to podcast@aatmcentral.com.
