What went on in the Kennedy-Breslow press conference on Zoom? It was the wild wild west out there. Boston's hottest club is the Sam Kennedy press conference on Zoom. It has angry old beat writers, IP addresses, unmuted conversation and images of JetBlue Park. Don't forget the useless questions! Are Breslow and Kennedy on the same page? No one knows. Is Kennedy the Guy Fieri of baseball? A lot of new fresh flavors! It is important that the Giants were able to eat the entire contract. Was that the main reason for the trade? Why did Breslow say that the contract was not a factor... lies. Why did the Red Sox return suck? It would have been better if the Sox ate some of the contract. Breslow got called a stiff. Inside the Joon Lee article which was mostly pro Devers. Was this a Red Sox hit piece? Jones bets all the stories about Devers are true.

Want to request a song? Tell us your rating? Send us a Text Message right now! Flo Rida – “In the Ayer” [feat. will.i.am] Atlantic; 2008 2.1If you've ever stared into a lava lamp and thought, “What if this could somehow be a song?”—well, congrats, your dream was made flesh in In the Ayer, the auditory equivalent of bedazzled cargo shorts and Axe body spray. Flo Rida, not known for subtlety or, say, substance, teams up with the ghost of will.i.am's interest in music to bring us a track so hollow, it could be used as a teaching tool in physics classes on resonance chambers.“In the Ayer” (yes, ayer, because why not butcher a vowel for swag?) is essentially a three-minute motivational poster shouting “PARTY!” at you in all caps. The beat is what you might hear if someone fed a Casio keyboard nothing but Red Bull and positive affirmations. will.i.am contributes the kind of hook that makes you question whether he was even in the studio or just texted it in from a pool float somewhere in Ibiza.Lyrically, Flo Rida invites you to "throw your hands up" roughly every five seconds, suggesting he might be confused and think he's leading a hostage negotiation. Every verse feels like an inspirational quote with a concussion. The only thing more repetitive than the chorus is the sinking feeling that this song was engineered in a lab to sell energy drinks. And yet, for all its sins, “In the Ayer” is weirdly indestructible—like glitter, or Guy Fieri. It's not a song so much as a vibe you regret catching. Somewhere, right now, it's still echoing in the background of a nightclub bathroom, and you know what? That's exactly where it belongs.DUBBY DUBBY is declaring WAR on big Energy! Use the promo code "1001songs" at checkout for 10% off! Dave and Chris opine on food criticism and what the ideal food critic would be like. They are then joined by Besha Rodell, the author of 'Hunger Like a Thirst' and a former anonymous food critic. She has an amazing résumé and gives insights into what it is really like to be a food reviewer. Guy Fieri Carl Ruiz Mike Cannon Sherrod Small 2/23 The final year of my radio journey holds a special place in my heart, made even more poignant by the loss of my cherished friends, Carl Ruiz and Vic Henley. Reflecting on that time, I rediscovered the pure passion and exhilaration that drew me to radio in the first place. Amidst the chaos and challenges, we found endless moments of hilarity and camaraderie. Alongside Carl, Vic, and Sherrod Small, we shared unforgettable experiences both on and off the airwaves, our tight-knit bond shining through every episode. That year also marked Carl Ruiz's meteoric rise to stardom, inspiring me to launch the Opie Radio podcast with him. I'm immensely grateful to Erock, Clubsoda Kenny, Paul, and Louis for joining us on this wild ride. Get ready to dive into the rollercoaster of emotions—the highs, the lows, and the laugh-out-loud moments—that defined my last year in radio.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

This week on The Leftovers, never-before-heard audio from Tony-, Emmy- and Grammy-nominated singer and actor Josh Groban. Josh is getting ready for a string of shows in Las Vegas, so host Rachel Belle presents him with the most ridiculous, over-the-top, calorie-packed dishes she could find on Vegas menus (obviously Guy Fieri is involved) and asks him to pick which ones he'd eat. Josh and Rachel bond over a childhood love of New Kids on the Block, and he admits to loving a very trendy Los Angeles treat from a very trendy Los Angeles market (that he is still a little embarrassed to order). On Friday, April 25, George Santos learned his fate, at his fraud sentencing in federal court. He had two years since his indictment to walk the walk, demonstrate extreme remorse and acceptance, and take meaningful steps to address the problems that got him here and convince a judge he wouldn't make the same mistakes again. But the government painted him as an unrepentant fraudster who was bound to reoffend, and the judge agreed, giving him a sentence at the very high-end of the guidelines. Therefore, Mark Allenbaugh and I went live on YouTube to conduct one of our world-famous “sentencing post-mortems” to break down the good, the bad and the ugly of the George Santos sentencing. IN THIS EPISODE: A "cameo" introduction, and ringing endorsement from George Santos himself; A word about the FBI's arrest of Milwaukee Judge Hanna Dugan; The perfect tequila pairing for this podcast: Santo Tequila; The accuracy of our predictions from our first Santos Podcast two years ago; What we can learn as defense lawyers (and clients) about the George Santos sentencing.
