On June 7, 2021, a pro-life volunteer for Citizens for a Pro-Life Society decided to search the trash containers of the Northeast Ohio Women's Center (NEOWC) abortion clinic, located at 2021 State Rd. in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. As the volunteer carefully looked though each bag, he discovered something most profoundly sad and shocking—the dismembered body of an aborted baby, approximately 16 to 18 weeks gestation, killed by the dilation and evacuation abortion method. The aborted baby had been hidden, wrapped up in a blood-stained blue surgical pad used during the abortion procedure. The left leg, left foot, and right hand of the baby was found in the NEOWC dumpster, as well as the name of one clinic abortionist on a prescription. See the photos a Baby Gianna here: https://bit.ly/3hE5UWy About the photos of abortion victims shown at the press conference, Dr. Monica Miller said, "We are looking at something the human eye is not meant to see. Your mind is now scarred by the image of what happened to this baby, and you will carry this image with you - you will be marked by the death of this baby." On today's episode, Dr. Monica Miller discusses rescuing children from abortion centers and trash dumpsters. Monica also discusses Red Rose Rescues, during which a team of pro-lifers enter the actual places where the innocent unborn are about to be "dragged to death." Monica's book, Abandoned: The Untold Stories of the Abortion Wars is the story of those children abandoned by abortion, and it is the story of their courageous defenders. Order the book here: shorturl.at/hkBZ8 Red Rose Rescuers peacefully talk to women scheduled for abortion, with the goal of persuading them to choose life. They offer to them red roses as a sign of life, peace, and love. Should the unborn still "totter to execution," Red Rose Rescuers stay in the place of execution in solidarity with their abandoned brothers and sisters, performing a non-violent act of defense. Please share this shocking story and pray for the conversion of NEOWC abortionists David Burkons and Christine Slotta. Pray also that the baby, who was murdered and thrown into the clinic trash, will be vindicated! Please watch, listen, and share. Every day, thousands of children—fragile, innocent, alone—are abandoned. They are brutally snuffed from the world and literally left in the trash . . . and it's all legal. Since 1976, Monica Miller has made it her life's work to defend the unborn. She has counseled pregnant women outside abortion clinics and organized pro-life groups and sit-ins at many of those same clinics. She has blocked abortionist’s cars, been arrested, and gone to jail. And she has pulled the bodies of thousands of unborn babies out of dumpsters and given them a proper burial. On today’s episode, Dr. Monica Miller relives those days of rescuing children from abortion centers and trash dumpsters. Monica also discusses Red Rose Rescues, during which a team of pro-lifers enter the actual places where the innocent unborn are about to be "dragged to death." Red Rose Rescues w /Jim Havens & Fr. Stephen Imbarrato
Prominent US pro-life activist, Fr. Stephen Imbarrato, on why a nationwide abortion ban in America is within striking distance thanks to his Personhood Proclamation Presidential Executive Order. Fr. Imbarrato has been jailed for his pro-life work; has recently performed an exorcism in Ireland outside an abortion facility – and he plans to return to Ireland for more pro-life work on the ground. He is proud of his Irish ancestry. Fr. Imbarrato is known as the Protest Priest for good reason. He is a pro-life activist, speaker and a campaigner arrested and jailed for his Red Rose Rescues. An EWTN television personality, his story as a pro-life leader is unique. He's an adoptive father, grandfather, and father of an aborted child – a life history he shares openly about as he talks about his journey to the Catholic priesthood. As Fr. Imbarrato travels through America promoting his pro-life mission, he is also keeping a close watch on Washington, DC., with the hope that his Personhood Proclamation Presidential Executive Order will end legalized abortion, and finally restore civil rights for babies in the womb all across America. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/john-aidan-byrne/support
Fr. Frank interviews Mary Wagner who does Red Rose Rescues and has spent a lot of time in jail in Canada.
Operation Rescue is the largest civil disobedience movement in American history. It even dwarfs the civil rights movement, with over fifty thousand people having been arrested between 1988 and 1992 for nonviolently blockading abortion clinics. Yet most people, even most Catholics, don't know the story. On the rare occasions when it has been covered by the media, it has been falsely and laughably portrayed as violent and extremist. Today's episode is something of an oral history of Operation Rescue, told by Bill Cotter, head of OR Boston, who spent 19 months in prison for his involvement with the protests. You'll also hear from CatholicCulture.org's own Phil Lawler, who provided the public face of OR Boston while Bill was in jail, and also wrote a book about the movement in 1992. They had a specific concrete goal: on that day, at that time, in that place, to prevent babies from being killed 14:31 According to Phil Lawler's book Operation Rescue, in between 1988 and 1992 over 50,000 Rescuers had been arrested—about six times as many arrests as during the entire civil rights movement! So why don't more people know about OR? (Need I have asked?) 17:00 Lack of support and even hostility from some Catholic clergy today towards pro-life movement 18:19 Police brutality against Rescuers in West Hartford, CT and elsewhere 22:22 Bill spent 19 months in jail 27:15 Mixed response to OR in Boston 29:19 The genesis of OR; the early days; getting more and more attention 34:06 Bill's participation in Rescues outside Boston; Rescues accompanying St. JPII's visit to the US in 1987; the Summer of Mercy in Wichita 37:39 What is OR doing today? 39:54 Is it true that the young people are becoming more pro-life? 42:05 Learning about Operation Rescue is a challenge to our complacency and desensitization to the continued toleration of abortion. Why shouldn't I be in jail right now? 47:51 Importance of prayer 49:28 How people can learn more and get involved with OR 50:31 Current signs of hope for the pro-life movement; eschatological hope Phil Lawler interview 55:12 How Phil got involved with Operation Rescue 56:35 His first impression of OR people 57:52 Phil was the public face of OR Boston while Bill Cotter was in jail 58:47 Being arrested 59:55 Phil's interactions with the media on behalf of OR, personal experience of media bias 1:02:00 How the archdiocese of Boston treated OR 1:04:07 The media and others routinely accused OR of violence; Ted Kennedy made a speech saying OR had “a policy of firebombing and even murder”(!!!) 1:04:59 The optimism of the pro-life movement at this time 1:07:52 The draconian penalties judges imposed on the protesters 1:10:24 Why do so few Catholics know about OR? 1:11:02 Couldn't the Rescuers have called the bluff on these long prison sentences and brought the whole thing to a standstill? Phil gives his own personal answer 1:13:27 Joan Andrews, the Dorothy Day of the modern pro-life movement; today's Red Rose Rescues 1:15:20 This week's excerpt: Pope Benedict XVI, Deus Caritas Est
On September 15, 2017 four pro-lifers conducted a "Red Rose Rescue" at Northland Family Planning Centers abortion mill in Sterling Hts, MI, namely Will Goodman, Matthew Connolly, Abby McIntyre and the director of Citizens for A Pro-Life Society, Dr. Monica Miller. The rescue was part of a NATIONAL INITIATIVE. On that day of rescue, two other "Red Rose Rescues" took place in Alexandria, VA and Albuquerque, NM. The rescuers in Michigan faced a maximum of THIRTY DAYS IN JAIL and/or a $250.00 fine. The six person jury FOUND THEM GUILTY OF TRESPASS and sentenced them to TWO YEARS OF PROBATION. The American Freedom Law Center intends to file an appeal. WATCH BELOW as Mark Harrington INTERVIEWS THE RESCUERS right outside of the courthouse where they received their verdict and sentencing. The goals of the Red Rose Rescue are two-fold: 1) to PERSUADE WOMEN TO LEAVE abortion centers before entering, and by doing so give life to their children; and 2) to SHOW A DEFENSE OF THE UNBORN scheduled to be imminently put to death--insofar as the pro-lifers expect the abortion procedures to not take place as long as they maintain a presence in the abortion facility. Dr. Monica Migliorino Miller explains: "Our goal is to reach out to the women scheduled for abortions. Ours will be the last voice they will hear to encourage them to turn away from the violent act of abortion--a violence against them, and against the innocent unborn who have no one to speak for them. We are there to help these moms, but we are also there to abide with the innocent unborn scheduled to be aborted--knowing that as long as there is a pro-life presence in the abortion centers no abortions will take place and the unborn thereby defended." Miller explains: "One of the reasons we decided to do the Red Rose Rescue at Chelian's Northland Family Planning in Sterling Heights was that her remarks indicated a shocking lack of respect for women."
