We are set free in Christ. Do not go back just because you mess up. Forget those things behind and go forward.

Big Question: How do you get unstuck? Answer: Stand fast and refuse to be entangled again! • Refuse to be entangled • Refuse to play the again and again bondage game • Insist on staying free • Insist on being salt and light in the world
Christ has set us free from the oppression of our enemy, the devil. This also includes thoughts originating from that kingdom meant to influence our lives negatively. Join me as we look at scripture and the strategies used against us which Christ has defeated.
God created us, and Christ set us free for Freedom.
Galatians 5:1, 13-25 1 Christ has set us free for freedom. Therefore, stand firm and don't submit to the bondage of slavery again. 13 You were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only don't let this freedom be an opportunity to indulge your selfish impulses, but serve each other through love. 14 All the Law has been fulfilled in a single statement: Love your neighbor as yourself. 15 But if you bite and devour each other, be careful that you don't get eaten up by each other! Two different ways of living 16 I say be guided by the Spirit and you won't carry out your selfish desires. 17 A person's selfish desires are set against the Spirit, and the Spirit is set against one's selfish desires. They are opposed to each other, so you shouldn't do whatever you want to do. 18 But if you are being led by the Spirit, you aren't under the Law. 19 The actions that are produced by selfish motives are obvious, since they include sexual immorality, moral corruption, doing whatever feels good, 20 idolatry, drug use and casting spells, hate, fighting, obsession, losing your temper, competitive opposition, conflict, selfishness, group rivalry, 21 jealousy, drunkenness, partying, and other things like that. I warn you as I have already warned you, that those who do these kinds of things won't inherit God's kingdom. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against things like this. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified self with its passions and its desires. 25 If we live by the Spirit, let's follow the Spirit.

Addiction always starts with something that feels good, whether it's drugs, alcohol, sex/porn, social media, sugar, or gambling. That's because our brain releases dopamine - the chemical that makes us feel good and that tells us to do that again. That's why it is SO HARD to break an addiction. The other reason it's hard to break an addiction is because of the SHAME we feel. In this message, Max Vanderpool highlights the EVIL ALEXA we all have lurking inside of us - and how that factors in to addiction.

We experience warfare on two fronts. The first comes from the flesh, or our sinful nature. The second comes from legalism and making our faith influenced by culture. Pastor Darren helps us discern these two realities that oppose our Discipleship to Jesus, and helps us navigate past these two strongholds. Join us as we finish our Battle Ready series in the book of Galatians.

Taking a stand on something is spoken about often in the Bible, and is something too many Christians don't know to do. We look at Galatians 5:1 and do a word study on "Stand."
