Brian Walshe's Surprise Plea Flip — Will Murder Trial Go Forward?

Right before jury selection — right before the moment everything becomes real — Brian Walshe walked into court and detonated a grenade in his own case. He pled guilty to two critically important charges: misleading investigators and disposing of Ana Walshe's remains. But he refused to plead guilty to murder. It's a strange split. A risky split. And a split that reshapes the entire murder trial. In this episode of Hidden Killers, Tony Brueski and Stacy Cole sit down with former prosecutor and defense attorney Eric Faddis to break down exactly what this means — legally, strategically, and psychologically — as the trial begins. Tony and Eric dissect the questions the public is asking: • Why would a defendant admit to moving a body but deny killing the person?  • Is this a sign of desperation? A strategy? A narrative play?  • Does this strengthen the prosecution's story of intent and consciousness of guilt?  • Is the defense about to pivot into an “accident + panic” explanation?  • What happens now that jurors will hear Walshe admit he concealed and destroyed evidence?  • Does this force the defense to abandon earlier theories — like Ana leaving on her own?  • And what does this mean for sentencing exposure and credibility? Eric breaks down how prosecutors will weaponize these admissions — and how a defense attorney must now scramble to build a narrative around a client who has put himself directly at the scene after death. This isn't a small procedural detour. This is the trial tipping on its axis. If you want the legal truth — not spin, not rumor — this conversation lays out exactly what this plea tells us, what the prosecution now knows, and what options Walshe has left. #HiddenKillers #BrianWalshe #AnaWalshe #TrueCrime Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Are you in the "messy middle" of a challenge, tempted to give up when things get tough? Join Dr. Roger Patterson as he preaches from Exodus Chapter 14 on the essential nature of having a "Faith That Finishes." Drawing on the story of the Israelites facing Pharaoh's army at the Red Sea, Dr. Patterson explores the crucial difference between the Voice of Fear and the Voice of Faith. Just as the Texas A&M football team mounted an improbable comeback after being down significantly at halftime, you can press ahead and see God's victory. Key Takeaways: Understanding Bondage: We are often tempted to return to "bondage" (old habits/addictions) because of its false comfort, but living free is always better. The Voice of Fear (The Four C's): Learn to recognize the signs of fear in your life—when you are Caught by it, when your prayer is a quick Cry-out, when you Complain, and when you Contrast the past with the present. The Voice of Faith (The Four Declarations): Be encouraged by Moses' command: Fear Not, Stand Firm, Look Up (see the salvation of the Lord), and Be Confident (the enemy is done).   The Voice of the Father: God challenges your thinking, encourages you to use what's in your hand (your identity, income, influence) , and commands you to Go Forward even when you don't see the way.   The Voice of Finishing Faith: The story moves from Thus (what God has done) to Then (the people's response of singing and exalting the Lord). Don't quit on your marriage, children, or mission—keep moving to experience God's ultimate victory.   Scriptures Covered: Exodus 7:1-5 , Exodus 12:35-36 , Exodus 13:18 , Exodus 13:21-22 , Exodus 14:1-17 , and Exodus 14:30-15:2. Preached by Dr. Roger Patterson on November 16, 2025.

Pastor Daniel emphasizes God's call for believers to move forward in faith and obedience, illustrating through Israel's Red Sea crossing and Elisha's journey from Gilgal to Jordan how each step—circumcision, meeting with God, righteousness, and death to self—leads to deeper consecration, anointing, and entrance into God's promises.

I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Monday morning, the 29th of September, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Book of Exodus 14:15: “And the Lord said to Moses,'”Why do you cry to me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.” There's no reverse gear in the kingdom of God, we are only going forward. There is no future in the past, we are not about to go backwards. Jesus Christ is coming back soon and we need to be going forward when He comes back. No more talking about it. No more double-guessing. Maybe I'm talking to someone today who is between a rock and a hard place. Oh, my dear friend, I know the feeling so well, by the way, so did Moses. Moses was looking at an ocean, the Red Sea before him, and behind him was the most powerful army in the world coming down upon him, and they were very bitter and angry. They had lost the oldest boy in each one of their families. They wanted revenge. What could they do? The people cried out to Moses, ”Why have you brought us here? It would have been easier if we'd remained in Egypt as slaves.” Maybe you're saying that today, ”I shouldn't have done this. I've got myself into a position now. If I'd just stayed the way I was before, I would have been alright.” That's not the truth and you know it, we've got to go forward! Now we've got to do it by two things: Number one, by faith, and number two, by obedience. You see, by faith Moses stretched out his arm with his staff, and the ocean parted, and they walked through it. What you need to do is hear clearly what it is God told you to do at the beginning, and then follow through. Go forward, and then do it by faith and obedience, and the Lord will do the rest.Hebrews 11:1: ”Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen.” That is what we've got to do. We can't please God without faith, folks. He doesn't want our good works. He wants us simply to obey Him. Verse 6 says: ”But without faith it, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”That's why the Lord loved Peter so much. There were twelve disciples in the boat. Jesus came walking on the water and Peter said, ”Lord, call me and I'll come.” The Lord said, “Come!” He stepped out of the boat and he walked on top of the lake of Galilee. Folks, there's no man in the world that has ever walked on water. Peter did, through faith and obedience. Yes, he started sinking but the Lord was there to pick him out.Today, look to the Lord and go forward. Jesus bless you and goodbye.

Title: You Must Go ForwardSpeaker: Pastor Roland RocchiDate: 24th August 2025Location: Ballarat, Australia This episode traces God’s mighty deliverance of Israel from Egypt, beginning with His call to Moses at the burning bush. It explores the journey of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph, leading to the dramatic Exodus and God’s command to His people to go forward in faith. Through the parting of the Red Sea and the promise of a new life, we see the powerful picture of baptism and the call to leave the old life behind. The message emphasises trusting God’s provision, never turning back, and pressing toward the promises found in Jesus Christ. 3 Key Takeaways God’s call is always to move forward in faith, trusting His deliverance. The Exodus foreshadows baptism—leaving the old life buried and walking in new life. Keeping our eyes on Jesus ensures we don’t look back but press toward His promises. When you think of Scandinavian design the look of a colorless winter day comes to mind - think pale grey, white and perhaps washed out blue.  But this is a modern-day invention. Dagny Thurmann-Moe, the founder of Koi Colour & Design Studio designs exteriors, interiors, products, and CMF strategies for brands seeking a stronger identity through color, materials, and finishes. Dagny is known for challenging the idea of “timeless” design — instead creating time-bound and aesthetically sustainable environments that reflect culture, history, and human needs. She is the fearless proponent of bringing color back into Norwegian interiors and exteriors and is leading the campaign to add pinks, terracottas, greens and yellows back onto the urban cityscape like it was 400 years ago.  Check out her TedX talk on the topic and tune in to hear a true polymath talk about using color.

The past isn't just behind us—it's inside us.We inherit values, habits, and emotional patterns from our families—some spoken, some unspoken—that shape the way we live today. For Joseph in Genesis, the pain of betrayal and family dysfunction could have defined him. But instead, God rewrote his story. In Part 2 of Under the Surface, Chris unpacks what it looks like to face the patterns we didn't choose, name the wounds we've carried, and take steps toward healing. In this episode of our series, "Stories," we dive deep into the life of Joseph from the Old Testament. Join us as we explore the profound impact of our decisions and how they shape not only our own stories but also the stories of those around us—often for generations to come. We begin with a light-hearted anecdote about a haircut gone wrong, illustrating how some decisions stick with us longer than we expect. From there, we transition into the weighty decisions that can alter the course of our lives, whether they relate to relationships, finances, or personal integrity. As we unpack Joseph's journey—from being sold into slavery by his brothers to rising to power in Egypt—we highlight the importance of choosing how we respond to adversity. Joseph's story serves as a powerful reminder that while we may not control what happens to us, we do have the power to write our own narrative in response. We also reflect on the multi-generational influence of our actions, encouraging listeners to consider the legacy they are creating through their choices. What story do you want to tell? How can you make decisions today that will positively impact your future and the future of those you love? Join us for this thought-provoking discussion, and be inspired to take charge of your story! Davis also criticized the broader Democrat Party for politicalizing the judiciary and Supreme Court.Additionally, Davis revisited the Russia hoax, detailing the conspiracy against President Trump and potential indictments for high-level Democrats, including former President Barack Obama, then-Vice President Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton's associates, emphasizing the need for accountability and justice. You can learn more about Mike Davis and his Article III Project by following them on X: @mrddmia and @Article3Project.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Read along with our chosen scripture: Genesis 39:6-10;38-40 Every decision we make becomes part of the story we'll one day tell. Often, we don't realize what's at stake until we're looking back, wondering if we'd make the same choice again. The key question is: When this decision is just a story, what story do I want to tell? The story of Joseph illustrates the power of choosing well, even when life is unfair. In this episode, we dive into the importance of the decisions we make and the stories they create in our lives. Join us as we explore a personal kayaking adventure that turned into a lesson about defining moments and the weight of our choices. We discuss how every decision, big or small, contributes to the narrative of our lives and how we can consciously choose the stories we want to tell. Using the powerful story of Joseph from the Old Testament, we highlight the significance of responding to life's challenges with intention and integrity, even when faced with difficult circumstances. Whether you're navigating relationships, career choices, or personal struggles, this episode encourages you to reflect on the story you're writing with each decision. What story do you want to tell? Tune in for insights that can help you shape a narrative worth sharing. Topics Covered: Personal anecdotes about kayaking and family adventures The impact of decisions on our life stories The story of Joseph and his resilience How to approach emotionally charged decisions The importance of writing a good story for your life ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We are an alternative to church as usual. Our Sunday worship service is approximately a 75-minute experience designed to introduce people to the message of Jesus and equip believers to live their lives in response to the Gospel while their kids enjoy one of our safe children's environments. Centerpoint is designed to meet you wherever you are on the journey whether you are just checking out the "church thing" or you are a committed Christ follower. Centerpoint is a casual environment that combines today's music with creative media and relevant teaching. We hope you will visit us at Centerpoint Church regardless of what your past church experience has looked like.

The text for Sunday is 1 Corinthians 11:1-15.  This text is challenging for us today for several reasons.  We read it and go, "Huh?"  What does that mean?  Women must keep their head covered in worship?  How do we understand this?

Our pilgrim, Virgil, and Statius arrive on the otherwise empty sixth terrace of Mount Purgatory. Virgil seems more hesitant. And our pilgrim, Dante, more passive, as he listens to the two older, wiser poets discuss the craft of poetry. This passage represents the paradox of circularity and linearity, of stasis and advancement, that is the major structural (and thematic!) tension in COMEDY.Join me, Mark Scarbrough, as we work through a seemingy easy passage while the pilgrim learns the craft of poetry. Here are the segments for this episode of WALKING WITH DANTE:[02:01] My English translation of the passage: PURGATORIO, Canto XXII, lines 115 - 129. The delightful Nikki Giovanni died on Dec. 9. It is a joy and a solace to relisten to this beloved conversation she had with Krista in 2016 – to experience her signature mix of high seriousness, sweeping perspective, and insistent pleasure. Her words and her spirit feel, if anything, more necessary now. In the 1960s, she was a poet of the Black Arts Movement that nourished civil rights. She became a professor at Virginia Tech, where she called forth beauty and courage after the 2007 shooting there — a precursor to violence that has become all too familiar in American life in the intervening years. And she was an adored voice to a new generation — an enthusiastic elder to all — at home in her body and in the world, even while she saw and exulted in the beyond of this tumultuous age of her lifetime.Nikki Giovanni was a University Distinguished Professor at Virginia Tech. Some of her best known collections from which the readings in this show were taken include Quilting the Black-Eyed Pea, Black Feeling, Black Talk/Black Judgement, and The Collected Poetry of Nikki Giovanni. Her final publications include Make Me Rain: Poems & Prose and A Library.Find the transcript for this show at onbeing.org.
