Craig Unger explores rumors of an "October Surprise"—a Republican deal to delay the hostages' release—which gained credence when former NSC official Gary Sick published an op-ed. Unger spoke to rogue Israeli operative Ari Ben Mashi, who alleged Bill Casey met with Iranians in Madrid in July 1980. Ben Mashi claimed Casey violated the Logan Act and an arms embargo by offering weapons in exchange for a delay in the hostage release until after the election. Ben Mashi also alleged Vice Presidential nominee George H.W. Bush attended a subsequent meeting in Paris in October 1980 to finalize the agreement. Unger's published findings in Esquire led him to join Newsweek to continue the investigation. Guest: Craig Unger.

Justin Timberlake BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Timberlake has been making headlines this week not for music, but for his next big play in nightlife and hospitality as construction plans have emerged for a brand-new $30 million music venue and dining destination in downtown Austin. According to Forbes and multiple local Austin outlets, Timberlake is partnering once again with restaurateur Sam Fox to transform a historic post office at 210 West Sixth Street into the sprawling four-level Twelve Thirty Club, their second after the Nashville flagship. The ambitious project will feature a supper club with daily live performances, a secretive speakeasy with late-night DJs, a private members lounge overlooking the action, and a skyline event space for up to 120, making it the type of mega-attraction poised to reshape the city's social circuit when it opens late 2027 after construction launches in early 2026. Timberlake spoke directly about his enthusiasm for the project, noting to Forbes that restoring the soul of such an iconic building in a live music haven like Austin has been a longtime dream. Design firm Avroko, acclaimed for amplifying sound and mood, has been tapped, promising a sensory, musical experience as much as a culinary one. This announcement was cited by nearly every major Austin and industry journal, with Forbes, CultureMap, MySanAntonio.com and Restaurant News each running with the news and direct Timberlake quotes, instantly elevating the club's profile and stoking speculation over its eventual musical acts.On the public performance front, Timberlake continues his globe-spanning Forget Tomorrow World Tour, though the road has been anything but smooth lately. The TBS News and Timberlake's official social media confirm he was forced to cancel a third show due to a back injury, specifically axing his December 2 performance in Oklahoma City after doctors urged additional rest. He previously postponed several dates for bronchitis and laryngitis this fall, announcing most news directly to fans on Instagram Stories, where he thanked them for the continued outpouring of support. According to his official website, ticketholders are being refunded for these affected shows, with rescheduled performances set for 2025. His next tour stop is slated for Houston's Toyota Center if he is cleared to return. Rumors have swirled on social media, especially on X (formerly Twitter), with fans wishing him a speedy recovery but there has been no verified suggestion of the tour's wider cancellation as of now.On the business side, Timberlake is still celebrated as a multi-industry influencer. Socially Powerful, a top marketing site, highlights his ongoing partnerships with Levi's, Air Jordan, Givenchy, MasterCard, and his co-owned William Rast denim label, underlining how his personal brand continues to bridge entertainment, fashion, and lifestyle sectors.Timberlake has mostly stayed out of splashy public appearances or viral memes the last few days, besides official news about the club and his health—no surprise performances or new music have dropped during this window, and his focus appears squarely on business ventures and tour commitments. There's ongoing speculation about collaborators for Austin's club opening, but nothing confirmed yet. As of this week, the biggest Justin Timberlake headline remains his bold new bet on bringing Nashville nightlife energy to Austin—with his health recovery and tour future close behind.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

Ole Miss Fans MELTING DOWN Over Lane Kiffin Rumors… Are Things HEATING UP for Florida?
Dominic Carter delivers unfiltered takes from New York City to the world on a Friday A.M.. Rumors swirl that Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer is done and won't seek re-election in 2028, facing mounting pressure as Democrats break ranks on the shutdown vote. The potential replacement? None other than "Senator Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs," AOC. Carter dissects AOC's shocking claims that Trump supporters are defecting to "free, free, free democratic socialism" and worries about the continuing "destruction of the Democrat party". The drama doesn't stop there: California Democrat Congressman Eric Swalwell has been criminally referred to the Justice Department over alleged mortgage fraud, joining a number of Democrats facing similar allegations. Dominic Carter and his guests argue that the modern Democrats are now a party of "crazies and lunatics and radical leftists" focused on selling a "bill of goods" promising "free, free, free" benefits. Anthony Davis rumors are back — this time with John Wall hinting that the Chicago Bulls could be a potential landing spot if the superstar big wants out of Dallas. On today's episode of Chicago Bulls Central, Haize breaks down why the idea of Anthony Davis is tempting… but the timing and price don't make sense for where the Bulls are right now. With Davis owed around $60 million per year and a history of missing significant time, gutting $90 million in expiring depth and draft capital to chase a fragile star could derail the long-term vision Artūras Karnišovas has finally built toward. Chicago just escaped the era of bloated, bad contracts — they can't sprint right back into one.Haize also dives into the Bulls' concerning defensive regression during their four-game skid. After starting 6–1 with strong perimeter defense, Chicago has fallen near the bottom of the league in defensive rating, opponent field-goal percentage, and points in the paint allowed. From Giannis Antetokounmpo and Donovan Mitchell to Victor Wembanyama and a shorthanded Pistons team, opposing teams have been feasting at the rim.But it's not all doom and gloom. Ayo Dosunmu, Josh Giddey, and Matas Buzelis sat down together and gave real insight into this team's chemistry, accountability, and growth. The young core's bond and willingness to accept tough coaching from Billy Donovan is a big reason there's still optimism in Chicago — even as they try to rediscover their edge and learn how to close games again.

MLB.com is reporting that the Pirates could spend $30-40 million this offseason. The Pirates are losing a lot of payroll with players going to free agency and the major question is if they spend over $100 total. Jon Gruden loves Mason Heintschel and thinks Heintschel is very mature.
Boomer and Gio close out the show with laughs and fireworks. The WFAN Golf Invitational idea takes over the studio as listeners imagine Gio and Mike Francesa teaming up on the course — though Gio insists there's “zero chance” Francesa would ever agree to play. The phones light up again with more reaction to Brian Daboll's firing, including a furious caller calling Joe Schoen a “back-stabbing s.o.b.” Al Dukes fills in for Jerry on the final update and delivers the Moment of the Day, featuring the viral golf debate. The guys also touch on YouTubeTV's messy rebate offer and a rumor linking Daboll to Penn State — but the day belongs to the fantasy of a WFAN Golf Showdown.
Boomer and Gio start the show reacting to Ian O'Connor's report that Joe Schoen might not be guaranteed to return as Giants GM next season. They also dive into the Mavericks' decision to fire GM Nico Harrison after the Luka Doncic fallout. Jerry opens his first update by calling Jets Head Coach Aaron Glenn a “tool” for stonewalling the media over injury questions, and shares Knicks highlights as they stay perfect at MSG. The hour wraps with debate over Bill Belichick's fading reputation and Gio pointing out that Mike Kafka not Brian Daboll was the one calling the plays that have Jaxson Dart running wild.
Boomer and Gio react to Ian O'Connor's report that Joe Schoen's job as Giants GM isn't safe beyond this season, raising questions about ownership's trust and the team's direction after firing Brian Daboll. The guys debate how Schoen could go from “rebuilding hero” to “on the hot seat” so quickly. Then they pivot to the NBA, where the Mavericks fired GM Nico Harrison after his handling of Luka Doncic backfired. Boomer and Gio wonder if this could be a cautionary tale for the Giants — when star players and front offices clash, someone always pays the price.
