Rev. Patrick Hunnicutt preaches on the Fifth Sunday in Lent. The Scripture passage is Jeremiah 31:31-34.
The promises of God are able and dependable. He fulfills every promise He has made. Jeremiah’s prophecies of the punishment and restoration of Israel are ultimately seen in the life on Christ on Good Friday and Easter.

"The New Covenant" Series, "The Promise," Message 4 December 19, 2021 Jeremiah 31:31-34 Give a quick review (from memory or your personal notes) about the 3 covenants we have studied so far: Abrahamic, Mosaic, and Davidic. Describe the context of what was going on with Jeremiah and God’s people when he was a prophet? What is the Exile? The Mosaic Covenant was written on tablets, where did God promise to write the new covenant? (ANSWER: our heart Jeremiah 31:33) What role does the Spirit play in the life of new covenant people? (John 16:13; Luke 12:12) How well do you discern the Holy Spirit in your life? How does He forgive us? Is He able to forget? Or what does it mean when the Bible talks about God not remembering our sins any more? (Jeremiah 31:34; Psalm 103:12)
