The Roman Church has made much of the person of Mary; in many instances too much. They have provided some clarity lately, however, as they have stated that speaking of Mary as a co-Redemptrix with Jesus is never appropriate. Such news is good, even if it doesn’t go far enough. We, however, need to not push too far in the other direction, for Mary and the events surrounding her were not normal by any means. Today, Luke sets out for us the uniqueness of that event. We ought to appreciate that uniqueness through these 5 aspects this morning: 1. Reputation 2. Conception 3. Reception 4. Protection 5. Profession

How many times have you heard a story and simply thought, this just isn’t possible? How did you eventually understand that it was not only possible, but that it truly happened? You listened to the facts. Join us this morning as we investigate Jesus’ journey to Bethlehem and look to the prophets who foretold of His coming. “For nothing will be impossible with God.” (Luke 1:37)

On this fourth Sunday of Advent, we light the Candle of Love, a reminder of God’s immeasurable love revealed in the birth of Jesus. As we prepare to celebrate Christmas, let this candle inspire us to reflect on His great love with others. “This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.” 1 John 4:9 May the joy of the angels, the wonder of the shepherds, and the peace of the Christ child fill your hearts this Christmas. May His love guide you, His hope sustain you, and His light shine brightly in your life throughout the season and the year to come. Wishing you and your family a blessed and joyful Christmas!
