“For with God nothing will be impossible.” (Luke 1:37)
If life apart from God = 0, then a life lived with and for the LORD is of the highest value, superior in quality and more excellent. It is much more better! This makes the goal of a Christ follower to simply give The LORD our best! (Ecclesiastes 7:1-14)
Send a textNothing is Impossible with GodNothing is impossible with God. (Matthew 19:26; Mark 10:27; Luke 1:37). These are words of encouragement when we go through difficult times. And haven't we all been there at one time or another in our walk with Christ? If you haven't, keep living. But we must never forget what God has done for us and we must remember that what He has once done, He can do again and again. It is so easy to forget, but the Holy Ghost brings to our remembrance all things. John 14:26. In this and future episodes, I will share some personal experiences with you on how prayer and fasting thwarted attacks against myself, my family, friends and even people I did not know personally. Yes, I said “prayer AND fasting” because that is what I learned early in my walk with God from the very first year I truly committed my life to Him. The church I attended after I gave my life to the Lord, taught prayer with fasting. Let me stop here and give a caveat. What I am talking about is what we (my husband and I did as prayer warriors). We are not saying you have to follow our pattern of fasting but we encourage you to thoroughly research fasting so you do not do harm to yourself. This includes following and seeking appropriate medical advice.Okay, moving on.The Bible talks about fasting in the Old Testament and the New Testament. In general, when you think of fasting, you think about denying yourself of food and water or just food. Some people expand the definition of fasting broadly to include denial of things that bring personal enjoyment. In the New Testament, Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights without food but we believe he had some form of water. (Matthew 4:1-2; and Luke 4:1-2). He understood the importance of fasting from the moment he was driven into the desert and the Holy Spirit compelled Him to fast and continue in prayer. It was only after that wilderness experience that He returned and began His ministry which included preaching, teaching, performing healings and miracles and more. (Episodes 7, this series). In the Book of Esther (Old Testament) the Jewish people fasted on two separate occasions in conjunction with praying to God to spare them from annihilation by an evil man named Haman. Queen Esther was not in the first round of fasting. (Esther 4:1-3). However, when she was asked to go before King Ahasuerus and ask him to spare the lives of her people (something for which she could be put to death), she asked everyone to fast three days and nights. (Esther 4:16). This included her maids who were probably not Jewish. And, of course, you know the outcome, the Jewish people were delivered and their enemy, Haman, was destroyed. (Queen Esther Podcast, Episode 7). We will tell you how to access these podcasts at the end of this episode. But, suffice it to say for now that fasting is Biblical and provides sound reasons for implementing it as a spiritual warfare weapon to answered prayer. Ding Dong! I went downstairs and saw the younger neighborhood kids I had befriended. I was shocked. How did these little detectives know where I lived? I didn't tell them. “Hi,” I said.“Hey. We saw your shoes and your dog.” ----------------Today's story is told by the Aleman family, AFM missionaries serving on the Isan Thai Project in Thailand. In this heartfelt Christmas episode, I sit down with artist Jenedy Paige to reflect on the Savior's birth and why His coming brings joy to the world. We read the story of Christ's birth from Luke and discuss how faith, scripture, prayer, and journaling can bring peace in life's hardest moments. Jenedy shares her deeply personal story of loss and healing after the passing of her three-year-old son, offering insights that moved me to tears. I hope this episode brings you the strength and spirit you need this season.

Proverbs 11 Teaching our children to have Integrity What it is? It is honesty v. 1 The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles that one refuses to change (Cambridge Online Dictionary) Think of Joseph and Potiphar's wife Think of Daniel and his three friends in Daniel 1 And again in Daniel 3 when they wouldn't bow to the false god And again in Daniel 6 when Daniel prayed even though it meant death This was an old command reiterated by Solomon Deuteronomy 25:12-14 Proverbs 16:11 and 20:10 It was a sin addressed by Hosea in 12:7 We must teach our children to always be honest For us, this was a spanking matter Matthew Henry says “He is not an honest man that is not devout; he is not a godly man that is not honest.” Dishonest business dealings are offensive to God Nothing is more pleasing to God than fair and honest dealing It models who God is He will do right every single time . . . It is humility v. 2 Notice that it is the opposite of pride Nebuchanezzar was severely judged by God for his pride Herod was as well. Notice that it is blessed by God Humility leads us to wisdom It is uprightness v. 3 The word means correct; right; straight Psalm 25:21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee. It is righteousness. v. 4-6 Why it matters? It guides us v. 3 It makes a difference in death v. 4 A good conscience makes the end of ones life easier It leads us to righteousness It counsels us It makes us gracious It makes us generous It brings life v. 30 It bypasses judgment v. 32 How do you get it? You train it Proverbs 20:11 A child either has it or doesn't Verse 5 When they get it and mature - it directs their way Perfect = complete or mature or whole You pursue it We often have opportunity to pursue integrity . . . You live it It shows up in how we treat people In how we run our business
