Proverbs 11 Teaching our children to have Integrity What it is? It is honesty v. 1 The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles that one refuses to change (Cambridge Online Dictionary) Think of Joseph and Potiphar's wife Think of Daniel and his three friends in Daniel 1 And again in Daniel 3 when they wouldn't bow to the false god And again in Daniel 6 when Daniel prayed even though it meant death This was an old command reiterated by Solomon Deuteronomy 25:12-14 Proverbs 16:11 and 20:10 It was a sin addressed by Hosea in 12:7 We must teach our children to always be honest For us, this was a spanking matter Matthew Henry says “He is not an honest man that is not devout; he is not a godly man that is not honest.” Dishonest business dealings are offensive to God Nothing is more pleasing to God than fair and honest dealing It models who God is He will do right every single time . . . It is humility v. 2 Notice that it is the opposite of pride Nebuchanezzar was severely judged by God for his pride Herod was as well. Notice that it is blessed by God Humility leads us to wisdom It is uprightness v. 3 The word means correct; right; straight Psalm 25:21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee. It is righteousness. v. 4-6 Why it matters? It guides us v. 3 It makes a difference in death v. 4 A good conscience makes the end of ones life easier It leads us to righteousness It counsels us It makes us gracious It makes us generous It brings life v. 30 It bypasses judgment v. 32 How do you get it? You train it Proverbs 20:11 A child either has it or doesn't Verse 5 When they get it and mature - it directs their way Perfect = complete or mature or whole You pursue it We often have opportunity to pursue integrity . . . You live it It shows up in how we treat people In how we run our business

In this week's message, Tonie delves into God's profound wonders and sacrificial love, inviting us to seek Him earnestly. Drawing from Acts 17:24-27, we're reminded of God's intimate involvement in our lives, orchestrating events to allow us to reach out to Him. All we must do is seek Him because he's never far from us.
This week, Darryl and Michelle share a message from Romans 12 about being a real, radical, and relational church.
Get ready to be challenged as Darryl takes us on a journey of faith and possibility in Part 1 of the series "With God, nothing is impossible." We're reminded that what seems impossible to us is entirely possible by God.
March 16, 2024 Daily Devotion: "With God Nothing is Impossible" 1 Samuel 1:15-16 New International Version 15 “Not so, my lord,” Hannah replied, “I am a woman who is deeply troubled. I have not been drinking wine or beer; I was pouring out my soul to the Lord. 16 Do not take your servant for a wicked woman; I have been praying here out of my great anguish and grief.” What seemed impossible for Hannah was possible for God. Hannah prayed so desperately that the priest thought she was drunk. Her faith was not overshadowed by her grief; in faith, Hannah asked God for the greatest desire of her heart. After Hannah cried out to the Lord, she no longer looked sad. She found peace in pouring her heart out to God, to the only One who could change her situation and give her what she hoped for. Hannah's hope in God's power, character, and kindness led her to pour out her heart to Him. Her desire was for a child, and her hope was rooted in the One who could meet her desire. If our hope is in our desire being fulfilled, we will often be disappointed. But if our hope is in the One who meets our desires, we can continue to have hope no matter the outcome of our situation. A faith that believes God will merely meet our needs is one thing, but a faith that believes God also desires to give us good gifts is another. Hannah did not have a faith that expected God to give her only the bare minimum needed for survival. She trusted in God's ability and willingness to give her abundantly good gifts out of His generous grace. Let's put our hope in Him and His gracious answer, no matter what it might be. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/gerzon-etino/message

1. God's love is perfect and is a model for how to love. Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7) 2, When you fully experience God's love, you have nothing to fear. “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18 KJV 3, You are secure in your relationship with God: Nothing can separate you from God's love. Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? ... No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow — not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below — indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:35, 37-39) 4, God Calls us his child “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.” 1 John 3:1 KJV 5. God loved you enough to die for you when you were still rebelling against Him But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8 6. God's love is too great to fully understand. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. (Ephesians 3:18-19

It's amazing how human nature almost dictates the statement “out of sight, out of mind,” yet, in the case of God NOTHING could be further from the truth. Here's the truth. God sees all and knows all. His judgements are pure and perfect. The sooner we grasp that, the better life becomes. God is real and so is His word, so get ready for what's coming next.

“There is nothing more dangerous to the kingdom of darkness than Moms in Prayer.” Wow! Today Stacy is joined by Greg Stier, the founder of Dare 2 Share, a ministry that helps youth leaders empower students to reach their world. How does Greg know the great power of prayer? By personal experience! He and his entire family were radically rescued and transformed through the Gospel and behind it all was a praying grandma who never gave up. ABOUT OUR GUEST: Greg Stier is a champion for unleashing this generation with the Gospel. As the founder of Dare 2 Share Ministries, he is driven to help the Church activate Christian teenagers to reach their friends. In the last 30 years, Greg has trained millions of youth leaders and students how to relationally engage their world with the Good News of Jesus. A much sought-after speaker, Greg is a former pastor, church planter, youth leader, as well as the author of numerous books. SCRIPTURE: Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 (NIV) After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. The Christmas holiday focuses a great deal on a birth—a special birth, to be sure. But the reason for Jesus' birth was ultimately for our re-birth. To miss that element is to miss the message of Christmas itself. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie helps us consider the gift of God's Son, and how his payment years later at Calvary made it possible for us to be reborn as children of God. Sometimes we forget that that the people God chose to be Jesus’ parents were quite young, and in many ways, unprepared. But Mary and Joseph were faithful and trusted in God’s plan. Today, Pastor Greg Laurie highlights one important reminder in the Christmas story. Sometimes it is easy to forget that the people God chose as Jesus' parents were young and, in many ways, unprepared. Yet Mary and Joseph trusted in God's plan and were faithful. Pastor Greg Laurie shows how God fulfills His promises through the obedience of regular people. Listen in for a message from Luke 1 and Matthew titled, “With God, Nothing Is Impossible.” Notes The word for power comes from the root word “dynamite.” Mary saw Jesus enter the world as her son and leave as her Savior. Mary was living in Nazareth. 1. Mary lived a Godly life in an ungodly place. Nazareth could be described as sin city. Mary models for us that it is possible to live a holy life in an unholy place. “Don't let anyone think less of you because you are young.” Mary was a nobody in a nothing town in the middle of nowhere. God uses “nobodies” to tell everybody about somebody. The Lord hand-picked Mary to fulfill this prophecy. Troubled means “disturbed,” “confused,” or “failure to function.” 2. Mary was surprised that God had selected her and not someone else. Gabriel the Archangel tells Mary what the name of her child, the Messiah, was to be. Mary was willing to do whatever God wants! 3. Mary obeyed and magnified God. Mary wonders how she, being a virgin, will conceive and Gabriel says, “For with God nothing will be impossible.” —Luke 1:37 For with God nothing will be impossible! Joseph is an unsung hero of the Christmas story. 4. God chose Joseph just as surely as He chose Mary, to be a stepfather, a father figure for Jesus on Earth! Joseph was doubtful about the supernatural conception. The angel of the Lord came to Joseph, too! If there were no virgin birth, there would be no sinless Christ. If there is no sinless Christ, there would be no atonement. 1. Jesus came to die and give His life as a ransom for many. “For even the Son of man came not to be served, but to serve others, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” —Mark 10:45 2. Jesus was born in Bethlehem to bring life in all of its fullness. 3. Christ was born in a manger so that we could be born again! God has given us the ultimate gift. Episode 146 - We are so excited to welcome you to our new series, God's Glory, Our Delight. Taking delight in God: Nothing could be more important, and nothing could be more practical today. Can we be totally honest here? This is Stephanie's favorite series to date, because it is her own personal life motto! We kick off the series with an episode that transitions us from Easter into this new season of deeper intimacy with God. You are invited to experience the glory of God in the face of Christ Jesus today! Today Stephanie has invited a long-time friend who shaped her own theology of glory and of the cross of Jesus Christ when she was a young believer. Pastor John Lambert tells us about the places where he has encountered the glory of God in Scripture, and humbly invites us on a journey to do the same. What is human glory? What is divine glory? Who is Jesus Christ when it comes to God's glory? Most importantly, how does Easter and the crucifixion manifest the glory of God in most unexpected and most moving ways? Jesus's Passion (His suffering) and His death are seen as the supreme showcase of His glory. How can this be? How can glory come from such horror and excruciating suffering? Jesus closed the gap between our sin and God's righteousness. Because of this, Jesus's complete innocence was given to us. John invites us to ponder glory emanating from creation is illusive, momentary, diluted and falls short of the glory of God. What times in your life have you experienced this momentary, fleeting glory? How long did it satisfy you? Did it make you want to keep seeking it?? If this type of glory never brings complete satisfaction why do we keep seeking it? Delighting in the glory of God. Does this concept strike you as reserved for spiritual contemplatives? What if, instead, it proved the highly practical, deeply foundational perspective you need right now? Why does God's glory even matter in our day and age? How can we learn from Jesus to make His glory our true North and lifelong quest? What keeps us from fully stepping into this God-ordained purpose for our life? How do we kindle delight for God on a daily basis? And, once we have embraced God's glory as our heart's true delight, how can we then come alongside others? Join us to cultivate a sincere delight for God's glory, rooted in an honest, hard look at the depth of our need, and in the much deeper Reality of His grace. Trace the glory of God through Scripture and in your own life. Behold the exact radiance of God's glory, revealed in Jesus. Learn to see yourself as Christ does—through the lens of the Father's love at the cross. Jesus offers to overwhelm our deadly self-centeredness with His resurrection power. He carries us every step of the way, even as He calls us to true humility on the path to glory. Who has time to cultivate the delight that comes from pondering the glory of God? And yet, nothing could be more urgent today. Marthas and Marys, Peters and Johns—we are all invited to dare to dream of a lifestyle of God-centered delight. Nothing could be more practical.
