Jeff refuses to wear gym shorts for billiards class; The study group gets Abed to romance a girl.

Jeff tries to fix his relationship with Britta when things get awkward after a drunken phone call. Meanwhile, Annie and Shirley set out to humiliate Señor Chang in order to protect the pride of Troy and Pierce.

The study group decides to not let an obnoxious student from their Spanish class into their study group (guest star Jack Black). Jeff is appointed as the new editor of the school newspaper, while Annie is working on a case that could prove the Dean as racist Trent and Daniel break down a M*A*S*H* heavy episode and discuss whether or not Jack Black is used well in the story.   

"Shirley throws a Christmas party, but to her surprise, the rest of the study group all come from different religious backgrounds. Meanwhile, Jeff is off to fight against the school bully."

Jeff avoids doing homework by hanging out with Señor Chang; Abed and Troy search for their lab rat.   In their latest episode of the show, Trent and Daniel discuss the Devil's drench, Jack Nicholson, and Star Wars music.  

"Jeff is convinced to join the debate team with Annie for a championship debate against Greendale's rival school City College. Meanwhile, Shirley gets spooked by the accuracy of Abed's short films of the study group which seem to predict their future."   Trent and Daniel continue to struggle with the Jeff-Annie (Jannie? Anneff?) relationship dynamic.  

"After Jeff loses his home, he is forced to move in with Abed in his dorm room. When Troy has a date, he asks a jealous Annie to help him prepare, and Pierce becomes the keyboardist for Vaughn's band." Trent's disdain for the friendzone is reignited, while Daniel learns some unsettling truths about Phil Spector and Michael Richards.

"Jeff is blackmailed by Dean Pelton to recruit Troy to Greendale's football team upsetting Annie in the process, Pierce helps the Dean make a new school mascot and Britta tries to become Shirley's bathroom buddy." In its sixth episode, Community tackles gender, race, and... football? Trent and Daniel return to discuss if this episode can balance both comedy and commentary.

"When someone from the study group confesses to using a crib sheet on the last Spanish test and is about to be expelled for it, Jeff uses his lawyer skills to help defend the cheater. Meanwhile, Annie recruits Pierce to write a new school song." In this episode, Trent and Daniel break down stories, discuss the differences in their critical analysis, and laugh at Pierce's bad jokes. After the Community talk, stick around to hear Trent and Daniel's thoughts on Childish Gambino's "Awaken, My Love."

"As Annie recruits Abed and Troy for a psychology class experiment, Jeff and Shirley bond over their mutual fondness for gossip. Meanwhile, Jeff tries to navigate the friend zone with Britta."   In this episode, Trent gives relationship advice and explains why he hates the term "friendzone." Meanwhile, Daniel can't stop laughing at butt stuff.

Britta interferes with Abed's relationship with his father while Jeff tries to "seize the day".

"Jeff's efforts to win over Britta backfire, and he finds himself paired up with Pierce for their Spanish class project."  In episode two of the show, Trent and Daniel introduce discuss the introduction of Starburns, Chevy Chase's commitment, and our first "Troy and Abed" ending.

"A smarmy lawyer whose education is deemed void by the bar is forced to attend a local community college with an extremely eclectic staff and student body in order to get a legitimate degree."
