Hop to it, folks! Jodie and Andrea watched “Croak,” episode seven of season three of Yellowjackets, and there's a lot to talk about. In 1996, someone gave Jeff Winger a crossbow, and thank the dirt for that. The girls play “The Most Dangerous Game” (which just so happens to be their favorite game), and Lottie makes a new squishy friend. In 2021, it's time for another road trip, and we've got all the essentials: the world's worst mixtape, some communal floss picks, and a well-timed medical emergency. But honestly, the most tragic part of this whole series is making a Jersey girl pump her own gas.If you're reading this, that means you've probably got your podcatcher of choice open right now. They explore the idea that dreaming is not just about personal insight, but also about spiritual insight for ourselves, our communities, and the world. Dr. Bulkeley emphasizes the transformative and dynamic nature of dreams and the potential for dreaming to bring about change and growth in our lives. The premise of the episode is this class is there and taught by a con-man played by the brilliant Matt Berry. Several members of the main cast take his class, an actual con where they give him money to learn nonsense and by take are being grifted. They turn to Jeff Winger, a failed lawyer to fight back. After watch The Sting. Two grifters team up to pull off the ultimate con. Following the murder of a mutual friend, aspiring con man Johnny Hooker teams up with old pro Henry Gondorff to take revenge on the ruthless crime boss responsible, Doyle Lonnegan. Hooker and Gondorff set about implementing an elaborate scheme, one so crafty that Lonnegan won't even know he's been swindled. As their big con unfolds, however, things don't go according to plan, requiring some last-minute improvisation by the undaunted duo.Robert Redford and Paul Newman are masterful.Community gang then does an homage to the Sting themselves.According to Duncan Campbell, “The heist films permit us to live vicariously as criminals: exciting risk-takers who break the law without hurting anyone. You know, I usually record these conversations from my fancy podcast studio/office in downtown Seattle, but this time I actually called our guest, Joel McHale, from my home on Mercer Island—a fitting venue for our conversation because Joel also happens to hail from this very same Seattle suburb. Now, as many of you probably know, Joel has gone on to have a very successful acting career in Hollywood. He's largely known for his sarcastic pop culture commentary on The Soup or his snarky self-centered character Jeff Winger in the critically acclaimed series Community. But long before his face ever broadcast through the glowing pixels of your television screen, Joel had a childhood that wasn't too far removed from my own. We both played sports through high school and college and happened to know a lot of the same people. Joel, like me, even went to the University of Washington. Now that may be where the similarities end, but while his college experience was tainted by the unorthodox hazing rituals of the rowing team and a questionable sense of brotherhood at the Theta Chi fraternity, Joel always knew that his real family waited for him on stage. Since the seventh grade he loved the theater and looked for every opportunity to meet with like-minded adolescent thespians who inspired and challenged each other creatively. Determined to make a career out of this passion, Joel completed a Master of Fine Arts at the University of Washington and figured that the best place to test out his merits was the entertainment mecca, Los Angeles. And while it took him a few years to get going, Joel is a hustler. Saying yes to everything offered, he's shown up in television shows and movies in nearly every genre. From bit parts in blockbuster films like Spider Man or starring in the dark romantic comedy Happily, to sitcoms like Will & Grace and the sci-fi phenomenon The X-Files. But despite the breadth of his impressive IMDb page, Joel still worries that each job is bound to be his last. Well Joel, from all of us on the outside, I think you can relax. It seems like you're doing alright. After my conversation with Joel, you'll hear my chat with a relatively new country music artist by the name of Austin Burke. But it's not actually Austin's music that brings him to The Nordy Pod. He's here as a customer to share a story which took place at our Rack store in Scottsdale, Arizona. The experience moved him so much that he pulled out his phone and started recording as it was happening. He then posted the video for his nearly one million followers on social media. It got shared around enough that we eventually caught wind and loved the story so much that we called him up, and the Nordstrom employees who made Austin's visit so memorable. Thanks for tuning in to episode 32. We hope you enjoy it! Did you know that YOU can be on The Nordy Pod? This show isn't just a one-way conversation. We want to hear about what Nordstrom looks like through your eyes. Happy Wine Wednesday! Matt of The Communies fan account joins me this week to talk about one of my absolute favorite shows and fandoms of all time - Community! Our conversation is part of the podcast's Boozy Beginnings AKA pilot project series in which we discuss the pilot episode of various tv shows.  Matt and I head over to Greendale and kick off our discussion with what drew us to Community, whether we we completed the series, and then the deep dive into the pilot. We start by talking about the pilot's introduction to two of the more memorable characters from the series - Craig Pelton and Greendale Community College.  From there, we talk about our initial impressions of Jeff Winger and other memorable introductions to the study group members.  We were both struck at how fully realized these characters clearly were from the very start. Y'all know I love a little lighthearted zodiac fun, so I asked Matt to identify his big three signs in the form of Community characters.  Although we were both huge fans of the episode, there were a few minor things we might do differently.  Related to that topic, I asked Matt to share what his version of Community would look like if he were in charge of a revival or reboot of the show.  No discussion of Community would be complete without talking "Six Seasons and a Movie" - so of course I asked what his Community movie would look like. The main discussion closes with our thoughts on why you should keep watching, our favorite fandom moments, and we get a little less than wholesome with some fun Community-inspired thirst prompts.  Matt graciously stuck around and discussed overall thoughts about the series in a spoiler segment following the main discussion. Thanks for listening! Friendly reminder - we drink, we know things, we use adult language, and we have a great time! Lost and Found - Community - series (Netflix) -  Episode 75Before Dan Harmon attained cult status for creating the black comedy satire animated series, Rick and Morty, he was known for a relatively lesser-known comedy television series called Community. That's the Lost and Found for today's episode, I'm your host NikhilSet in Colorado in the fictional city of Greedale, a disbarred lawyer named Jeff Winger joins a  local community college after his firm finds out that he did not have a legitimate bachelor's degree. Jeff, played by Joel McHale, decides to make the most of his time at the community college and brings everything in his repertoire to convince his classmate, Britta Perry, from his Spanish class to go out on a date. So he creates a pretend study group just for the two of them, only to discover that Britta invited another classmate, Abed Nadir, a slightly eccentric movie buff, who invited a host of others as well. The Spanish study group soon becomes a very tight-knit club as the series chronicles their misadventures. Dan Harmon has left an indelible mark on the series with his signature humour, satire, social commentary, and surreal set-pieces. The narrative at times requires a suspension of disbelief, but the over-the-top elements are deliberate additions carefully crafted to parody tropes from popular films and TV shows. Allison Brie essays the role of Annie Eddison, a bright young student who has a history of a public mental breakdown in high school, Donald Glover plays Troy Barnes a former NFL hopeful whose career prospects were dashed by a serious knee injury, Yvette Nicole Brown as Shirley Bennett, a very religious mother of two who dreams of expanding her horizons, whereas Chevy Chase essays a wealthy elderly man who has a penchant for being politically ‘incorrect', and Danny Pudi plays the heart and soul of the story, Abed Nadir, an eccentric movie buff who often struggles to communicate well with others. Ken Jeong, Jim Rash, and John Oliver play other important characters in this criminally underrated TV series. If you haven't watched Community yet, it's streaming on Netflix.Well that's the OTTplay Lost and Found for today's episode , until the next time it's your host Nikhil signing out.Aaj  kya dekhoge OTTplay se poochoWritten By Ryan Gomez

Hey guys! Welcome to episode deuce-deuce of the Grave Plot Podcast! We start the show off on a somber note, discussing the recent suicide of Robin Williams. Robin was a bright light in this world and we're sad to see it go out. If you or someone you know is battling depression, please contact someone. We give you all the resources, and you can even contact us. We'll listen. Unfortunately, that's not the only death we talk about. In Horror Business, we discuss the passing of Marilyn Burns, best known as Sally Hardesty from the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Speaking of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, we give you all the updates on the new prequel, Leatherface. We then go on to discuss the latest on Ghostbusters 3. There's good news and bad news. Speaking of trilogies, Blumhouse and Radius are set to release three movies from the Duplass brothers called Creep. We break it down. Want the latest on the Evil Dead universe? Well so does everyone else, including Jane Levy, the star of the remake. Is there going to be a sequel? A TV show? No one knows for sure. What we do know is that it finally appears like we'll be seeing Pride and Prejudice and Zombies hit the big screen. We tell you who's in it and where it's at in the process. There's also a pair of news stories about Resident Evil. The first is about a potential TV show called Arklay based on the series of games. The second is the news that the original GameCube version of the game is being remade in HD. Speaking of video games, we also bring you up to date on the new Silent Hills. Finally, we tell you the latest casting updates for American Horror Story: Freakshow and tell you why we are no longer looking forward to The Green Inferno. We then move on to the reviews. First up is The Purge: Anarchy, the sequel to 2013 movie about the one night a year where anything goes. The sequel is basically the same shit. Our second review is the new possession/crime/thriller film Deliver Us From Evil. It stars the Hulk and Jeff Winger and sparks a conversation about exorcisms in film. So pop us in your ear balls and enjoy another thrilling episode of The Grave Plot Podcast! National Suicide Prevention Lifeline - 1-800-273-8255

The School of Everything Else Archive

[Digital Gonzo 2013] This episode is all about the NBC comedy Community. I was introduced to this series a few months ago on the forum by Daniel Floyd who guests on this podcast. After a slow start something clicked and it rocketed to the tippety top of my most cherished TV comedy experiences, ranking alongside the US Office and Arrested Development. I am therefore proud to present this exceptionally thorough overview show to newcomers and fans alike. The plot runs thus: slick, handsome, insincere lawyer Jeff Winger is disbarred for having a phony degree and must attend community college to get a real one. On his first day he organises a study group to get close to a girl. Despite having nothing in common with one another and clashing pretty much constantly the seven assembled students end up as unlikely friends. That may be what happens, but it doesn't adequately describe the smart, funny, inventive and touching highlights of watching this show. The mad genius and the endless quotability of the whole caboodle. So you can listen to the podcast itself for all of that. We steer clear of major spoilers pertaining to relationships and moments that are best discovered for yourself but there are two distinct sections. 1. Character study 2. Key episodes. These are presented in order so if you have only seen Season 1 you can leave off after 'Modern Warfare', which is incidentally the one episode we believe every living person on this planet should watch. By the end of seeing that one you will know if you love this.  The first three seasons are available on DVD in the USA, the first two in the UK and the reputedly final season 4 has just begun showing on TV. The other two guests on this podcast are Sharon Shaw of DorkCast and Jerome McIntosh of the Gonzo Planet community.
