Season 6, Episode 21: 24th Gene Key – From Addiction to Silence In this episode of My Love of Life Energy, Anna Scott is joined by her Exquisite Being partner, Molly Lynch, for a contemplative journey into the 24th Gene Key. Together, they explore the emotional and energetic movement from the shadow of Addiction, through the inventive power of Invention, to the still, luminous grace of Silence. Shadow: Addiction — the looping patterns that pull us away from the present moment. Gift: Invention — how creativity arises when we stop resisting our inner experience. Siddhi: Silence — the sacred space where all transformation occurs. This is a tender, vulnerable exploration of what it means to listen deeply to life, to ourselves, and to the space in between thoughts.

Episode 20: Peace Over Pressure, Sacred Spaces & Women-Led Community – With Debra Trappen In this powerful episode of My Love of Life Energy, Anna Scott sits down with the vibrant and visionary Debra Trappen—speaker, coach, author, and founder of the Red Thread Collectives. Debra shares the journey behind building a community space unlike anything Anna has experienced—a space rooted in intuition, sacred rhythms, and what she calls “peace over pressure.” Together, they explore the moment Debra realized her mission during a solo retreat in the redwoods, the exhaustion of the senseless hustle, and the deep craving we all have for quiet, reflection, and truth. This conversation is a deep breath. A reminder. A return.
In this special bonus episode, we continue the story of Lolita, My Love—the infamous Alan Jay Lerner musical that never made it to Broadway. After its chaotic out-of-town run and abrupt closure in 1971, the show remained a cautionary tale of ambition and controversy. But in 2019, it finally had its long-overdue New York debut, thanks to the York Theatre Company's Musicals in Mufti series. Director Emily Maltby joins the podcast to share the behind-the-scenes process of reviving Lolita, My Love for a modern audience. From navigating the show's difficult subject matter to collaborating with historian Erik Haagensen on a newly reconstructed script, Emily offers thoughtful insights into the delicate art of giving misunderstood musicals a second life. It's a revealing look at how this controversial work finally found its voice on a New York stage—nearly five decades after its original failure. --- Theme Music created by Blake Stadnik. Fáilte ar ais chuig eagrán nua de Ar An Lá Seo ar an 2ú lá de mí an Mheithimh, liomsa Lauren Ní Loingsigh. I 1978 sheol an Aire Sláinte Charles Haughey scéim ar leith chun cabhrú le daoine óga sna cathracha a raibh riosca orthu damáiste a dhéanamh dá shaol. I 2000 bhí na hairí ón thuaidh faoi ionsaí ó na n-antoisceach ó dhá thaobh. I 1998 maraíodh 15 eallach ar fheirm I Toomevara de bharr go raibh toirneach agus tintreach ann. Bhí na heallaí ar foscadh faoi chrann seiceamar nuair a bhí sé ag cur báistí go trom agus thit an crann orthu. I 2006 bhí rangú san Aonach Urmhumhan sa tábla IBAL go hiontach mar chuaigh siad ó 'go leor bruscar' go 'níl aon bhruscar ann'. Chuaigh siad ó 51ú háit chuig 13ú háit. Sin Sonique le It Feels So Good – an t-amhrán is mó ar an lá seo I 2000 Ag lean ar aghaidh le nuacht cheoil ar an lá seo I 1973 chuaigh Paul McCartney chuig uimhir a haon I Meiriceá lena albam Red Rose Speedway agus fuair sé uimhir a haon lena hamhrán My Love agus d'fhan sé ann ar feadh ceithre seachtaine. I 1984 fuair Wham! A chéad uimhir a haon sa Bhreatain lena amhrán Wake Me Up Before You Go Go. Scríobh George Michael an t-amhrán agus bhí sé páirteach den bhanna cheoil. An inspioráid don amhrán ná nuair a scríobh Andrew Ridgeley nóta dá thuismitheoirí ag rá 'wake me up before you go' agus scríobh sé 'up' dhá uair agus mar sin scríobh sé an teideal 'wake me up before you go go'. Agus ar deireadh breithlá daoine cáiliúla ar an lá seo rugadh aisteoir Wentworth Miller sa Bhreatain I 1972 agus rugadh aisteoir Ethan Slater I Meiriceá ar an lá seo I 1992 agus seo chuid de na rudaí a rinne sé. Beidh mé ar ais libh amárach le heagrán nua de Ar An Lá Seo. Welcome back to another edition of Ar An Lá Seo on the 2nd of June, with me Lauren Ní Loingsigh 1978: health minister Charles Haughey had launched a unique scheme to help young people in cities who may have been at risk of becoming delinquents. 2000: the norths power sharing ministers were under attack last night from extremists on both sides. 1998 - FIFTEEN cattle on a farm in Toomevara were killed in a severe thunder and lightning storm which struck North Tipperary. The cattle were sheltering in a hill field under a sycamore tree from a heavy downpour of rain when the "act of God" occurred. 2006 -Nenagh's ranking in the national IBAL league made a dramatic improvement, rising from the categorization of ‘Litter Blackspot' to ‘Litter Free Status'. rising from 51st place out of 57 towns to 13th in the latest survey. That was Sonique with It Feels So Good – the biggest song on this day in 2000 Onto music news on this day In 1973 Paul McCartney had both the No.1 positions on the US charts when 'Red Rose Speedway', went to the top of the album chart and 'My Love', started a four week run as the No.1 single. 1984 Wham! had their first UK No.1 with 'Wake Me Up Before You Go Go.' Written and produced by George Michael, one half of the duo. Inspiration for the song was a scribbled note left by his Wham! partner Andrew Ridgeley for Andrew's parents, originally intended to read "wake me up before you go" but with "up" accidentally written twice, so Ridgeley wrote "go" twice on purpose. And finally celebrity birthdays on this day – actor Wentworth Miller was born in the UK in 1972 and actor Ethan Slater was born in America on this day in 1992 and this is some of the stuff he has done. I'll be back with you tomorrow with another edition of Ar An Lá Seo.

Season 6, Episode 17: 55th Gene Key – From Victim to Freedom In this episode of My Love of Life Energy, I'm joined by Molly Lynch—my partner in the Exquisite Being project—for a powerful and contemplative exploration of the 55th Gene Key, often described as the “Holy Grail” of the Gene Keys. We reflect on the journey from victim consciousness to true liberation, and what it means to embody freedom at every level of being. Shadow: Victim — the belief that something outside of us controls our experience Gift: Freedom — the release that comes when we take full ownership of our inner world Siddhi: Freedom — the divine essence of absolute liberation and transcendence Through personal insight and energetic reflection, we explore how this Gene Key invites us to reclaim our power and live in alignment with the truth of who we are.

1978: close on 50,000 people came to ennis on the previous weekend for Fleadh Nua '78 and spent an estimated £3/4 million. 1989: an estimated 16,000 people were expected to attend an annual o briens bridge village and county fair.
In 1958, Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita shocked American readers with its provocative tale of obsession and manipulation—just as Alan Jay Lerner's musical Gigi, featuring the now-cringeworthy “Thank Heaven for Little Girls,” was charming its way to nine Oscars. Though vastly different in tone, both stories revolved around older men's fixation on adolescent girls. Which makes it all the more surprising that Lerner, the man behind Gigi's sugarcoated serenade, would take on Lolita for the stage just over a decade later. In this episode, we explore Lolita, My Love—a musical adaptation plagued by rewrites, walkouts, and uncomfortable audience reactions. With music by James Bond composer John Barry and direction from a team trying to toe the line between art and provocation, the production aimed high but never made it to Broadway. Instead, it became one of theater's most fascinating failures, collapsing under the weight of its subject matter—and proving that some stories may simply resist musicalization.---Theme music created by Blake Stadnik. We're back in the French Riviera for a very special episode, as Girls On Film returns to the 78th edition of the Cannes Film Festival. This year, host Anna Smith welcomed guests to the second Girls On Film Cannes Do at The Members Club. This glamorous networking event on the beach brought together filmmakers, critics, and creatives celebrating the power of women in cinema. In this episode, you'll hear reflections from our community on what Girls On Film means to them. Later on in the episode Anna reunites with film journalist Wendy Ide who reflects on this year's films, which she says have been of a consistently high standard. Wendy shares her standout picks from the festival, from the fiercely divisive Die, My Love, a visceral exploration of the raw edges of motherhood and mental unravelling, to Sound of Falling, a haunting meditation on how trauma echoes through time and place. She also dives into Sirât, an allegorical road movie, in which gender and disability are refreshingly incidental, not defining. Plus other titles that are already generating serious awards buzz. And finally, we're joined by Liza van der Smissen and Nicole Lieberman, founders of the Female Film Club. This trailblazing global network uplifts women in the industry through practical workshops, seminars and a thriving, supportive community. They share the story behind their mission and how they're helping to reshape the future of film, one powerful connection at a time. They also unveil an exciting new opportunity: a £10,000 investment in a short film, designed to give back to their talented global community. To enter from 16th June onwards, filmmakers must join their networking space. Season 6, Episode 18: 33rd Gene Key – From Forgetting to Revelation In this week's episode of My Love of Life Energy, Anna sits down with her Exquisite Being partner, Molly, to explore the 33rd Gene Key and its evolutionary path from Forgetting to Revelation. They reflect on the mystery of memory and how forgetting isn't a failure—but a sacred part of the journey. Through personal stories and shared insights, Anna and Molly illuminate the quiet power of mindfulness and the deep revelation that arises when we release the need to remember everything and instead trust what truly stays. Shadow: Forgetting — the disconnection from the present moment and the illusion of needing to hold on. Gift: Mindfulness — the conscious, loving awareness that allows presence to unfold. Siddhi: Revelation — the sacred remembrance of who we truly are beyond time and memory.

It's been nearly six years since Hailey Bieber last appeared on the cover of Vogue—and let's just say, a lot has changed. Now the face of Rhode, one of the most talked-about celebrity skincare brands, Vogue's summer cover star is also stepping into a new chapter as a mother to her son, Jack Blues. On this episode of The Run-Through, writer Alessandra Codinha sits down with Chloe Malle and Deputy Editor Taylor Antrim and shares insights from her time with Hailey—covering everything from the intense scrutiny she faces online, her relationship with her husband Justin Bieber, and the deeply personal story of her difficult childbirth.Earlier on the show, Radhika Seth reports live from the Croisette at the Cannes Film Festival with the latest from the red carpet and the big screen. She recaps her favorite films so far—and the buzzy ones she's most looking forward to. As Taylor notes, "deranged mothers" seem to be trending this season, with Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson's Die, My Love making headlines after its festival premiere. Radhika also weighs in on the controversy swirling around Eddington, Ari Aster's much-hyped follow-up to Beau Is Afraid (spoiler alert: it didn't make her top picks.)And of course, no Cannes coverage would be complete without a fashion moment. The group crowned their unofficial “Queens of Cannes,” with Jeremy Strong earning his title for perfectly coordinating his bucket hats and suits, and Alexander Skarsgård turning heads in thigh-high Saint Laurent boots.

While one was within the second third of one's life, one had all these goals in view, of happy marriage, happy fathering, and (most of all, sadly) successful careering. That was the way it was -- and probably the way it is, at least for some who may be reading this. And in that (now) embarrassing order, too. But at this point it's beginning to look a little bankrupt -- at least the order of valuation. Maybe "superficial" is a better word. So "What Now, My Love?" (H. Alpert/M. Ryder/Sonny & Cher... ad infinitum). Is the last third of life, i.e., for those of us among the "new demographic", disillusionment and moping; or compulsed repetition; or possibly/impossibly "Behold, I do a New Thing" (Isaiah 43:19)? Today, and again next week, my friend Hewes Hull and I will be discussing this (to us, core) theme: What Now, My Love? Is it Marcus-Aurelian grinning-and-bearing it? Or maybe assisted suicide, even? Or again, "Something Better Beginning" (The Kinks, 1965)? Hewes has had a fine career practising law and then in private equity finance. He has an extraordinary wife, Trent, of 31 years. Hewes himself is 57 years of age. (A young man, as I now pronounce him.) His chief hobbies are theology, jujitsu and hunting/fishing. Hope you'll enjoy our conversation. Oh, and I hope you'll LUV the closing track, by... wait for it... Bobby Sherman! LUV U.

Friends of the Rosary,Today, Tuesday before Ash Wednesday is a traditionally celebrated the Holy Face of Jesus.Gazing upon the face of Christ crucified unites us with all His sorrows, love, and total abandonment. In 1957, Pope Pius XII established this feast.Jesus revealed devotion to the Holy Face to Sister Marie of Saint Peter (1816-1848), a Carmelite nun from Tours, France. Our Lord said to her:“Every time My Face is contemplated, I will pour out My Love into the hearts of those persons, and by means of My Holy Face, the salvation of many souls will be obtained.”Two miraculous images are associated with the Holy Face Devotion: Veronica's Veil, the cloth used by Saint Veronica to wipe the face of Jesus during his passion, and the Holy Shroud of Turin, the burial cloth of Christ. As revealed to Blessed Sister Pierina, Tuesday is a day of reparation to the Holy Face in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary!+ Mikel Amigot | RosaryNetwork.com, New York• March 4, 2025, Today's Rosary on YouTube | Daily broadcast at 7:30 pm ET

For the podcast's annual end-of-year episode, Scott sat down with co-hosts emeritus Alan Rozenshtein and Quinta Jurecic to talk over listener-submitted topics and object lessons, including:How will the collapse of the Assad regime impact the region? And can the United States help create a secular, democratic Syria? How is the pending TikTok ban even enforceable (if it is)? What national security story from 2024 deserved more attention?Won't the Fifth Circuit's recent Tornado Cash opinion simply lead the Treasury Department to sanction the cryptocurrency Ethereum as a whole? What are the most underrated threats to U.S. national security in the last half of this decade? What will be the Trump administration's first major national security misstep? How worried should the United States be about the BRIC countries' recent discussions of forming their own reserve currency? For object lessons, Trevor recommended insightful indie video games for our three hosts based on their interests: “Bury Me, My Love” for Scott; “We. The Revolution” for Alan; and “Not for Broadcast” for Quinta. Thomas endorsed the podcast and associated media company “Popular Front” on uncovered conflict issues. Keith threw his support behind the podcast “It Did Happen Here” about Portland's anti-racist skinhead movement. Connor recommended the books “The Queen of Cuba,” by Peter Lapp, and “The President's Book of Secrets,” by Lawfare alum David Priess, as well as the docuseries “FBI True.” Keenan followed up with another book recommendation, Daniel Immewahr's “How to Hide an Empire.” And Liz endorsed Gayle Tzemach Lemmon's “Ashley's War,” about women who deployed to Afghanistan as cultural support teams for special operations units. And that's it for 2024! But don't worry, Rational Security and the whole Lawfare team will be back with you in the new year to help make sense of what's to come in national security in 2025—now back at our old release day and time, at midday on Wednesdays (D.C.-time) every week!To receive ad-free podcasts, become a Lawfare Material Supporter at www.patreon.com/lawfare. It shall burn out all dross of the mortal mind, smallness of nature, meanness of spirit, vindictiveness, jealousy. It shall burn out all carelessness of your habits, in the outer realms of your being. My Law and My Order can then function perfectly in your life. Then and then only will you be a worthy vessel for the inflow of My Spirit. Then and then only can My Spirit flow through you to other of My children. Likewise shall all disease be burned from the physical body, that nothing shall interfere with My Plan for your life. As the sigh of your spirit disturbs the flame and makes the candle drip, so the faintest wavering of your feet from the path of attainment causes a less steady burning of My Flame in your heart, and My Work goes on in imperfection. Oh, My Beloved, how necessary that you live with the eye single, to the high purpose of your calling. But you have many helpers. No soul who enters the path is left to walk alone. So go on, day by day, with the light and assurance of My Love in your face. Mighty Ones whom you see not, are by your side. And the forces of darkness shall touch you not."-Eva Bell Werber, ‘Quiet Talks the Master'"Dear God, help me to not lose sight of your presence when things are going well."-UnknownSupport the show
